This is perfect for my iPad, it’s lightweight and I use it by my bed to listen to audiobooks. It’s really sturdy but lightweight, have purchased others but they were just too heavy, would defo recommend.
I needed a stand as I use a tablet for music performances. I’m really impressed with this product – it is sturdy and stable but very lightweight (much lighter than a traditional music stand). It’s very easy to put up/down with quick release locks on the leg and easy to mount the tablet which is then held securely and can be rotated to any angle. Highly recommended….
Bought for the Wife who has meetings on line using her tablet, it does exactly that, the height can be adjusted with the minimum of fuss to her required taste, sturdy yes if it does’nt need to be moved too much sits on it’s own tripod and comes in a waterproof cover when collapsed, my Wife is happy with it.
I use this every week to talk with family overseas on FaceTime using my iPad Pro 12.9″ tablet. This tablet is large, and heavy to begin with and is even heavier because I have the solid Logitech keyboard case on it permanently. Of course you don’t have the keyboard attached while it’s on the tripod but it’s still heavy with just the back protector.
This tripod holds the entire assembly rock steady and the ball head allows me to adjust the angle of the screen accurately and it stays in place. The cord pull-handle on the grip makes placing the tablet in its jaws easy (the spring has to be tough to ensure that the tablet is secure and won’t fall out). The ability to adjust the angle of the tripod feet means I can slide one of the legs under the sofa I’m sitting on so that I can place it nearer to me for the calls.
I have only one complaint, but it’s not about the tripod but the bag it comes with. This bag is thin nylon and is coming apart at the top of the seam, where it’s fraying. And bizarrely, the depth of the bag was designed to accommodate the tripod but without the head. Who thought of that, for goodness sake? Once the head is on the tripod no one is going to take it off in order to stow the thing in the bag.
But apart from that, I’m enormously pleased with this.
I’m happy with it and holds my iPad really securely. Only give it 4 stars as it is a little awkward to get Ipad in it at first, but once you get the hang of it its fine. I recommend this product.
I like the way the stand opens and closes . Its not quite as substantial as I thought it was I shall worry about it toppling with my 280 tablet attached. But I will spread the base tripod legs wider to counteract this. Hope I can attach a fitting for my smart phone and maybe a uke stand. Really wanted a stand for music and for a tablet but didn’t find one offering the duality so opted for this one. For the weight eg a bit light I think this is a tad expensive. I just hope it never topples with my new tablet attached which seems to make it a bit top heavy.
