I have tried a few different tripods and this is hands down the best i have used. The way the legs are easily manipulated into doing what you want them to do is great for what i need and i am now able to get some great shots when using my camera in the garden.
For the price i feel like it was reasonably priced before but now it is less than 20 which is great for what you get.
What a great bit of kit this is, you can pretty much attach it to anything and it stays in place, it relatively lightweight and doesn’t take up too much space, its easy to hold but feels SO sturdy and strong! It’s great quality and gives me peace of mind that it will look after my phone if I’m taking a selfie from a distance. It should last a long time. Great value for money, highly recommend if you’re looking for a small flexible/versatile and sturdy tripod
When I initially ordered this tripod, I didn’t expect much but now this has become my go-to Mini cell phone tripod that permanently resides in my travel trolley.
The Good:
— The tripod’s premium quality can be felt from its chunky weight (but not too heavy), the non-slip silicone rubber legs and the robust build of ball joints and adapters.
— The silicone coated aluminium legs are malleable to accommodate various types of orientation needs and when folded together, become an easy to hold selfie stick.
— I also like the extra screw hole for mounting additional accessories e.g. microphone or additional lighting etc.
— Although I have not used the remote control switch as frequently as I would have liked, it works and is a convenient feature that adds to the premium spec of this kit
Improvement points:
— A small telescopic feature at the neck to increase the total height would be nice
— Either a drawstring pouch or a EVA hard tube carry case would be useful
Together with the discount voucher, this Mini Tripod kit will not disappoint.
I needed a tripod for a trip to trip to Amsterdam, I needed something lightweight, small and to be versatile for travel photography.
The tripod itself is made of some metal parts but is mostly hardened plastic and rubberised plastic. The hardened plastic components are for ball head design. The plastic here has very little flex and is very rigid, the rubberised portion is for the legs as these are super flexible! The legs are a little stiff but this gives a great rigidity when you find the right bend for what you want. The head of the tripod is made of metal, this makes it super secure when the camera is attached.
While I tested the tripod out, I was using a fairly lightweight film camera. This tripod was able to keep the camera super steady and was very versatile on its mounting. I was able to wrap the legs railings or park benches to give me different angles to normal. The legs are made of a soft touch plastic on the otuer which makes bending the legs really easy.
The ball head allows you to quickly reposition the camera from a landscape to portrait shot. Its also very smooth, I have had no issues with using this for a little filming work where I needed to do an impromptu panning shot.
The mounting of the camera to the head is a little more fiddly, I would of like to of seen a quick release plate here so that you can remove the tripod when not being needed. However when it is attached, the camera is very securely in place. I had no worries when wobbling this about at arms length of the camera coming off! Very impressed!
Overall, this has become my go to travel tripod, the finishing is great and the ability to place this anywhere and have it hold the camera securely is a massive bonus. This isn’t a huge amount of money when it comes to camera accessories and I can highly recommend this as either a gift or a present to yourself!
As someone who cherishes memories, the Lamicall Phone Tripod has become an indispensable tool. Its flexibility and 360 rotating capability make it a versatile tripod for live streaming, photography, or video recording. Compact and easy to use, it’s the perfect companion for capturing life’s precious moments.
This is an impressive little tripod, it doesn’t take up much space but is very stable and the bendy legs are brilliant to adjust it if you are standing it on unlevel surfaces. It is extremely easy to attach my S23 phone, holds it securely in any chosen orientation. It has several other attachments, e.g. for GoPro, but I do not have these devices so haven’t been able to test them out. It’s a little heavy to carry around so perhaps not one you’d want to take on a long hike, but the weight reflects the solid build quality.
This tripod is a good tool for someone who needs to fit a camera on different terrain angles due to its flexible and sturdy legs. The item overall is a bit heavy compared to a normal tripod (selfie stick-like).
There are so many adjustable mechanism from legs to the mount itself. The included jaws can be replaced by other holding mechanisms for other devices and I am confident the tripod will hold them easily.
After modeling the legs it might be challenging to put the legs back into a perfect straight position.
The tripod also comes with a Bluetooth remote to control the phone’s camera from distance.
I got this to take photographs for reviewing items. It is well build, sturdy and fits my iPhone perfectly.
It took a long time to set up the legs and the top to take a photograph of an item of a desk without including the stand, but it is super sturdy. The phone gripper worked perfectly to grasp my phone and keep it steady when taking a photo.
in the photos attached to the review the photo of the remote clicker was taken using the tripod and the photo of the tripod was done my previous “free hand” way. This has greatly improved the quality of my photos as I can get perfect lighting and focus.
I got this handy tripod as I figured it could be used for a range of projects beyond those uses already marketed – holding a phone, a GoPro or a camera. It certainly has a number of connectors that might work for things like laser levels or similar.
The flexible rubbery legs are very handy and grip well to railings or poles etc. My only disappointment is that they do not revert back to “straight” without quite a bit of work and adjusting and they don’t seem to end up as they were “out of the box”…but this is a really minor observation that offends my OCD and should not put most people off!
I still have not figured out all of the ways that devices can be attached – but the tripod comes with a 13 page mini-booklet in English (plus equivalent pages in other languages) that explains it all….I focused on the one current use I have – to hold a mobile phone to stop me taking wobbly pictures!
The remote control unit is a nice addition and, honestly, I did not truly expect it to work on my low-end Samsung. The tiny Bluetooth device paired readily with my phone…but initially clicking the button on the remote only opened up the volume control on the phone, with the camera app running. I am not sure what I did in the app settings but eventually I got it working and it works well.
I think this is a well-made, robust, bit of kit and reasonably-priced, with a wide range of possible uses that take a 1/4 thread. I’d happily recommend this.
I’m not a huge fan of tripods, I’ve had one or two in the past and they were either quite cumbersome to carry around or not very stable. This, I feel, is going to be a game-changer.
The tripod itself measures only 10 inches high so will easily fit into my camera bag, though it is a bit weighty but I suppose this is to be expected with the sturdy design and materials. The tripod legs are flexible and will be bend and hold onto most stable objects, helped by the silicone outer sleeve which makes the leg base non-slip. I’ve not yet tried with my DLSR camera attached but this looks like it will take the weight with no problem. The camera clip looks like it will accommodate varying sizes of phone but I have yet to figure out how to get it to accept landscape mode – maybe because everyone takes photos in portrait mode, for some reason I just don’t get. There is a ball head which swivels to the angle you need and tightens with the screw to the side. There is also a GoPro attachment if required.
There is a bluetooth fob so that you can tether to your phone (it may even work with my DSLR but not tried). To save losing the fob I have put it on a keyring and attached it to the tripod (just behind the phone holder) with a carabiner – it’s not going to get lost anytime soon!
For the price I think that this is a substantial piece of equipment that I’ll now be taking with me.
I really like this and its abilty to wrap around posts. Its a bit fiddly at first but once you get the hang of it things become better. There’s a few things missing that i think should be included when you consider the price.
There’s a tiny remote shutter with hole for a strap but no strap is included. I can’t imagine it will be long before it vanishes 🙁
The tripod itself has the brand logo in a place where a bubble level would have worked better and added much more value for me.
The lack of quick release mounting and cheap feeling adjustments is a bit dissapointing.
Every tripod i own has a storage bag so its something that struck me as odd when this didn’t have anything.
Overall this does work and it adds value to my collection. I’m not convinced the value is great considering the cost but as it does things my current kit doesn’t it’s worthwhile to me. Its good but i think simple things have been overlooked that could have made this great 🙁
This is a very well made tripod, extremely well made in fact when considering price(currently 23.99 with optional vouchers to select to make it cheaper).
It arrived well packaged and was much larger and heavier than expected, don’t worry about mounting heavy phones or cameras on this thing, it can certainly take it! Another impressive feauture is the phone holder will allow even the widest(think Blackberry Passport) sized phones to fit securely within its jaws, this is unusual and great to be suitable for basically ANY phone on the market. It also comes with a camera adaptor which I have not used as I don’t own a dedicated camera, I do all my photography using phone cams.
Something I did not realise at time of ordering was that the legs can also be molded into various positions, and not with some weak clicky ball joints as I have experienced with other tripods, the legs are made with hard rubber and also a metal structure inside, so no matter how you bend them they always feel completely secure. This makes the tripod extremely versatile as you could also attach it to for instance a tree branch etc. The actual feet are also rubbery with a good non slip texture.
Honestly I feel this tripod would still be good value at 29.99 so at this price it is easy to award it 5 stars, buy with complete confidence. Professional level equipment at a budget price.
This is a great tripod and has been used constantly over the Xmas period. It’s of a good size so that if using this while walking around/videoing etc it’s easy to hold and ensure a good grip on the rubber legs, the legs are really mouldable and can be bent/wrapped around most things. We had ours around our bannister a lot for the must have Xmas tree family photos and it didn’t move or slip at all. The included phone mount is safe, string and secure once you get to grips with how to get your phone in it and it won’t be falling out unless given an almighty shake.
It comes with an adapter for a GoPro although I couldn’t test this and and also a Bluetooth remote that effortlessly connects to your phone and reconnects automatically. The top also has a small screw that will fit most cameras etc
Overall it’s a well made, robust phone holder/tripod that does the job well. The main draw to this item is the flexibility of the legs and the option to be able to mount this in various places as oppose to been stuck with requiring a flat surface as with most other tripods!
Very happy with this item!
+ improves stability during taking photos or recording videos
+ minimalistic design
+ stealthy looks
+ built – in bracket for smartphones
+ light
+ relatively slim
+ easy to use
+ remote
+ can be used with more than a smartphone
– too plasticky
I’m really impressed with the quality of the tripod. It’s strong, sturdy everything about it looks and feels like some thought went into its design.
I got the Lamicall tripod to replace my other, much smaller, tripod. My old one was rubbish compared to this one. The spring on the clamp felt like it could break at any time when inserting my phone, the legs were plastic and half as long as thes on the Lamicall tripod so I would struggle to get it to hold onto things and it was a real faff to straighten the legs because they were made up of many ball joints.
I don’t have any of that with the Lamicall tripod and it’s so much better! The legs on the tripod are made of tough silicone with each measuring 20cm length and 2.7cm width making the tripod a bit on the bulky side but they are strong and sturdy. The legs are flexibile and are textured so they can be bent to grip onto all sorts of things with ease.
I’m using the tripod with my phone so I won’t be using the GoPro attachment however the phone holder is pretty good! The spring inside feels strong and the holder pivots on a ball joint allowing it to be rotatoed and turned easily with a leaver on the side to fix it in place. The holder works like a clamp with two brackets on each side which flap up and then the phone is placed between them. There are rubber pads to prevent the phone from getting scruffed when placed into the bracket too.
Included with the tripod is a remote which can be connected via bluetooth to a phone allowing photos to be taken remotely and while I’m very happy with the tripod itself I was disappointed with the remote because it wouldn’t work. According to the manual the light should flash on but it doesn’t. No matter what I did the light failed to come on at all. I repeatedly turned it on/off, checked to make sure the battery was inserted correctly and replaced it with a new one but still it refuses to work. My phone was unable to detect it.
I’m assuming I must have received one that’s faulty so had I bought this I would have probably sent for a replacement because for what you’re getting and the build quality of the tripod I’d say it’s worth the price. It’s just a shame the remote wasn’t working as I would haved used it.
First thing you notice is that it’s not exactly “mini” it’s actually rather large. But that doesn’t have to be a bad thing, it’s very versatile and the bendy legs can be wrapped around things to help you take that perfect shot.
As a phone tripod it’s excellent and it comes with a remote which can be used while taking selfies, it also has a GoPro attachment which I’m sure works great however I don’t own one. It is also usable with a camera.
I also tested it with my Nikon D500, which is pretty heavy, it wasn’t massively stable but it didn’t feel like it was going to fall over either. It would be fine if using a timer but it didn’t feel stable enough to take photos using the shutter button. It’d probably be fine with a smaller and lighter bridge camera or pocket camera.
Overall though this is a really nice tripod, ideal for travelling or just using for video calls on your desk.
This arrives in a brown box with the tripod, remote and instructions inside.
This was bigger and chunkier than I was expecting but will be perfect for my use.
The tripod itself is very well constructed and feels sturdy in the hand. The legs are indeed very bendy to get any angle you want or to attach to non tripody places. This opens up your creativity for getting photographs or videos. The legs feel really robust and should last a long time.
The phone holder can be mounted portrait or landscape and can be moved to any position you want using the ball joint which in itself feels well made and clamps up strongly. The phone holder can be flipped over to expose more thread and a rubber base to mount an action camera on. On the ball joint mount there is an additional 1/4″ threaded socket to mount another 1/4″ accessory should you wish, light, mic etc.
The tripod also comes with a remote which you just pair to your phone and this allows you to operate the shutter remotely.
This is a very versatile tripod not just for desktop use. The price (21.99 at time of review) is fair, but with the 30% voucher which is available it makes it very good value for money for such a well made, versatile tripod.
I hope you found this review helpful.
We’ll see how it holds up, especially after twisting it around something,
whether it will lose its tripod standing ability.
Could even use this to attach your webcam on,
your mic arm for a closer/better shot on those podcast videos
Got this to replace my old tripod as I had snapped the connector on it so it would no longer hold my phone.
This tripod is quite a bit bigger than my last one and the legs are far more sturdy. A problem I had with my last one is you could bend the legs but they didn’t have the strength to hold the phone up if you bent them too far. Not with this tripod! The legs are very sturdy and very well made. Bendy metal covered in thick rubber. It means you can pretty much have your phone held up anyway you like, including wrapping the tripod around a chair, tree or pole. Awesome.
There’s also a little Bluetooth button that comes with it so that you can take a remote picture if you’re using this to take a self photo or a remote photo of an animal. Very useful.
It also comes with a GoPro adapter if you use one of those devices to shoot with.
The only weird thing is the instructions telling you that to shoot horizontal then you need to unscrew the mount and re screw it with the other screw hole on the bottom of the clasp. This is quite annoying having to keep doing this, especially when you can actually twist the clasp when it’s supposed to be in vertical mode to record in horizontal mode. Weird. Just keep it in place and lift and twist to swap between horizontal and vertical.
Overall, I’m happy with this tripod. The quality is very high and the legs are very sturdy so there no chance of it not holding your phone up. The fact that you can wrap the legs around a pole too is really useful.
