This is such a great little composter, just right for our needs. I love that it stands off the ground and being able to rotate seems to get things braking down more quickly. So glad we chose this one.
As others have said it was a little tricky to put together but worth the perseverance. It’s compact and less of an eyesore than some.of the bigger bins around. It can easily be moved around the garden when needed.
The composter is very good once constructed, it’s very study and easy to use. However it is awkward to put together as it easily falls apart before being fully constructed. If you have the patience it is a very good product.
Just the job, no forking to do. You turn as & when you want to.
It’s a bit tricky to assemble but when you get the hang of it, it just falls into place.
I have had my back yard shelved out for pots to plant with herbs and flowers. This composter is excellent for my kitchen organic waste so I do not have to buy too much compost.
I spent some time looking for a good compost bin but found that most don’t have a bottom and/or the reviews complain that they have a flimsy lid so I thought I would take a chance and give this one a go.
It’s pretty good actually. Its not very big (65l compared to others which are ~300l) but that just means I need to be more selective about what I put in it, which is perfectly fine by me.
There’s no problem with the lid on this one, it slides open and closed quite nicely and I like that the whole thing can be moved easily enough because the drum is sealed when the lid is closed.
The one problem I found was in actually building the thing. You have to connect the panels together to make a circle and then the two faces click into place at either side to make the drum.
Sounds easy enough but I found it quite fiddly – if just one of the panels is slightly out of place when you attempt to connect the faces, it won’t join together properly and you’ll need to take it apart completely and start again which is frustrating.
I’ll give it 4 dustbin lids out of 5, as it’s a good little composter, but it’s let down slightly by the fiddly design when building the drum.
