Very good set of knives, the only complaint for me is that 1 of the knives had a small dent on the blade. Although it doesn’t affect anything apart of aesthetics

A quality knife that is very sharp (I have the scars to prove it!)
Haven’t needed to sharpen it yet, after daily use for three months. Carves meat well and slices through vegetables as if they are butter.
It has a reassuring weight to it while not too heavy.
I store it in its sheath in the sturdy box it arrived in, to preserve the blade, and carefully hand wash only.
Makes light work of the Sunday roast with perfect, even slices every time.

Great carving knife good quality and light to handle, perfect at carving so Sharp it just slides through. Easy to use but please be careful as it is extremely sharp and would be easy to cut yourself,I struggle to carve usually but with this knife it made it so easy. I would highly recommend, great knife fast delivery and lovely box to keep the knife in.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersReally nice knives with a good weight and balance. I bought mine with an Amazon promotional discount for just over 60 quid, but having received/used them I would still happily pay full price of 76 quid.

Lovely quality – razor sharp – look gorgeous

They come in a sturdy box with foam cut inserts to keep them in, meaning you can keep them in the box which is both practical, and gives a bit of theatre when taking them out to use them.

All the knives are lovely, but I’m developing a real fondness for the Nakiri knife – just such a pleasurable knife to use.

I’m a home chef and wanted to upgrade to decent knives a step up from your normal supermarket efforts – this is an affordable way to do so, without breaking the bank, and you’ll notice a big difference both in the weight, use and feel of these knives, money very well spent as far as I’m concerned

I got this for my dad, he is a sushi chef a wanted it for work. He is happy with this, it’s nice and very sharp. He is not very happy with the handle as he says its a bit small.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThese appear to be a generic Chinese product that several other sellers also rebrand as theirs and sell them on Amazon. It uses the same spec German steel but is manufactured in China.

The handles feel a bit budgety other than that, they look nice. They are indeed sharp and Nakiri knife has a slightly curved edge which makes shredding, dicing etc. very easy to do. They are quite light but having said that my previous knives were way too heavy, these seem far easier to control.

You will need to store these in some sort of block or magnetic holder otherwise you will more easily dull the edge or worse, cut yourself if you just store them in a draw with other things.

They say they will replace them for a lifetime, if that is the case, that lifts them above other brands. I paid just under 60 for these, they do vary in price to don’t pay more. Of course you are likely to be able to get the exact same quality knives from other sellers, as mentioned earlier, for less. I choose these as they have been reviewed by external sites so Paudin do seem to want to build a reputation.

Time will tell how they hold up but these are overall very good knives, currently cut brilliantly, and at a reasonable price point. For normal household use I see no point spending anymore money for your knives, these will do the job very nicely. For heavy use or non domestic use, you may wish to look at proper Damascus steel, which costs quite a bit more.

his is my second set of these great knives and the customer service was 5 star as there was a knife missing in the first set i bought ,so i contacted them and received a replacement knife a couple of days later they are very sharp, and the knives are just the right weight not to light or to heavy and cut through joints of beef with ease, i would reccomend this set of knives to anyone looking for a set of knives to try these and you certainly wont regret it and we will be recomending these knives to friends and family seller gets 5 stars from me

These are good knives but like any knife it requires occasional attention for it to remain sharp. The knives claim to be German steel but this is impossible to verify. Having now had the knives a few months and they are used in a domestic environment they need to be honed on a leather strop or a steel about once a week.
I’ve not as yet had to sharpen them using a whetstone but like any knife that time will come. The knives represent in my opinion good value but if you want the initial razor sharp performance to continue invest in some equipment to keep them sharp.

i bought these to use at work in the kitchen i work at as the knives provided are terrible at holding and edge the 3 knives i bought have been invaluable for saving time and perfecting my cuts from raw to cooked meats and vegetables the weight of the knives are pretty light and comfortable and the edge holds very well with extensive use should i need more or am asked what are a good set on knives to buy i would highly recommend these knives to anyone weather its just household use or professional use
met and surpassed all my expectations

I returned this carving knife as I wasn’t happy with the feel of it. This is one of the problems of buying knives by mail order without having the opportunity to feel it first but whilst I wasn’t happy with it others could well be.

I originally gave the knife just 3 stars but on reflection that was a bit unfair as there was nothing wrong with the knife itself as it was just that the feel didn’t suit me.

I bought a chef’s knife by the same manufacturer at the same time and this had a slightly different shaped handle which I was happy with so not only did I keep it but I also bought a second to give to a friend for Christmas and he is very happy with i

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our UsersWell I chose the expensive way to replace nearly all the knives in the kitchen knife block…

A few weeks ago my wife complained that the Lakeland small utility knife was too flexible. That had been a quick replacement for an original Sabatier knife in what must be now a 15 year old knife block. The replacement was sourced when we had “shops” and you could see and touch things. Sadly no longer the case and we rely heavily on Amazon reviews.

So the review: I bought the small Paudin utility knife and it was stunning. Well made, great to look at with the Damascus steel finish and most importantly razor sharp. I’ll hold my hand up to being a bloke who has been known to watch knife sharpening videos on YouTube and the Paudin knife was easily as sharp out of the box as anything I’d seen. Long story short, a few weeks later a Paudin filleting knife was ordered followed by a Paudin bread knife and finally this Paudin carving knife.

Like I said all up it’s cost me just over the 100 for four knives that I hadn’t really intended to buy. But they are wonderful looking and hugely effective tools in the kitchen and my wife is really happy that I can be trusted to buy kitchen related items. If you’re going to buy tools of the trade then buy good ones. You can’t go wrong with these.
