Got this to connect an old mini-PC box with Display Port to my HD TV & it works just fine.
Quality with this adapter (on-line via Ethernet & the PC) is just as good as my (WiFi connected) Fire TV ‘dongle’ == except when it’s better (which is due to the PC, not the adapter 🙂 )
Using this adapter with the PC I was able to ‘play back’ my archive of digital photographs (which is possible via Fire using ‘screen casting’ but is a Real Pain) using the TV as my display (and a BluTooth connected keyboard/mouse to control the PC from my sofa 🙂 )
At 4.49 it’s a real bargain !

This is a nice little display converter. It feels well made when taken out of the packaging.
Gold plating assists to the quality of signal passing through it.
Both connectors fitted the sockets snugly and the display port end has a depress switch for added positive connection.
Picture quality was good as expected, no interference seen and the picture was sharp with vibrant colours.
Verdict: Good quality and a good price.
I used this to connect a HDMI display to a computer with Display Port output.
The video worked.
The audio worked.
The DP connector on the adaptor comes with a locking mechanism.

Connects devices OK. The presence of the gold plating on the shield implies that the cable screen will be well connected
It’s hardly the best quality cable I’ve ever ordered but it works okay – for me at least. The DP lock is handy and because the cable is quite short I’ve not experienced any image problems. With regards to the length of the cable, the one I got only measures about 16cm, not 25cm as the description states.
It’s certainly not the best made cable out there but it is pretty cheap so I can accept that. It’s useful and works – that’s about it really!
I have used this with my mini PC (which I use for gaming emulation) which has DP output only, connecting to my portable monitor which has HDMI input only.
It works perfectly well plug and play for me and I found no issues with making changes to content resolutions and the display was perfectly fine.
This adapter is everything I needed. I own a PC which only has 1 HDMI slot and 3 DisplayPort slots in the graphics card. I had my first two monitors connected as one was hdmi and the other displayport, however my third monitor was also HDMI and I didnt have a displayport to HDMI cable. This adapter is sleek, with a slim profile, and has 4k compatbility, which allows me to use the 4k features even with a normal hdmi cable. All I had to do was plug it in and it was ready to go. The actual adapter is small in length, which allows easy transportation, and can be stored easily in a laptop bag as well. The connector is also gold plated, which is good as it allows the adapter to be more durable, and so will allow me to use this adapter for a longer time. The packaging is simple yet effective, with the adapter coming in a plastic bag with branding at the top. It also has a plastic cover to protect the DisplayPort side from dust, which I thought was a great added bonus.
I see from other opinions that some find this device problematic, however my experience has only been good.
It worked plug and play for me first time, and I am running it from a Display Port on multi output USB hub too. I am not trying to push its performance as I don’t need to, its just used in a multi screen setup for mostly static work stuff so I don’t need high rates but its running fine for us quick enough for no discomfort.
For the price its a cracking little device that effortlessly got me out of a minor pickle of hooking an HDMI monitor up when I only had a DP port left.

This short lead was exactly what I needed to enable me to use the fourth input on my monitor which has two HDMI inputs, a USB-C input and a Display Port. None of my equipment uses DP the fourth input was redundant.
The lead is short and the DP end latches into the socket preventing it from falling out; which is useful as the plug points vertically down and other plugs, including the mains supply, have fallen out in the past.
The construction of the cable is nothing special, but it is only carrying the signal a short distance so this shouldn’t be an issue.
This adapter works very nicely and I’ve not found any issues with picture quality etc. There’s not a lot more that I can say about it really other than it seems to be well made and the DP end of it locks into its port quite nicely and doesn’t feel like it will pull out easily without pressing the clip to release it. I’ve got another DP to HDMI adapter which was much more expensive, and this one is of comparable quality and does the same thing with no issues. I would therefore recommend it.
Purchased this adapter to use to connect my eGPU to my monitor using an HDMI cable, since my eGPU has displayport
This does the job perfectly. My monitor isn’t 4K so I can’t verify that 4K works perfectly, however I have a new study being built with a 4K TV in there so will be able to test that soo
The 1 star review probably got a defective unit, i guess these things happen.
The one i received works perfectly well, i now have a secondary tv at 1080p 60hz, hooked up to one of my 3060ti’s display ports.
Instantly functional, no problems at all.
Of course i can’t test it any higher so it is worth checking the other reviews.
