Once paired with your phone it works seamlessly. Once you turn the car on it starts and the phone connect immediately. No lag or disconnection.
Pairing was a bit difficult as there were a lot of Bluetooth device around and the name of the little box is not on the booklet. Just moved in an area with less people and pairing was easy.
I used it to turn my wired and droid auto into wireless on my Honda and I have to say it works fantastic. Probably about a 20 second delay as it logs itself in but by the time you’ve got your seat belt on it’s ready to go.
The instructions weren’t fantastic but with a bit of common sense in regards to Bluetooth connections it’s easy enough.
I am delighted with this device, compared to some other aftermarket non integrated CarPlay units this is big with a crystal clear HD screen. Very easy to install just one power cord (unless using aux), and the cord tucks nicely away in my 09 Focus. The device can be connected to the cars speaker through an aux cord or FM transmitter, I personally use the built in FM transmitter so less wires are required, the quality of audio through the transmitter is perfect and doesn’t sound tinny or poor quality. CarPlay is connected wirelessly through Bluetooth with the iPhone and I haven’t encountered any issues after a week of use.
