I have quite sensitive skin and have a lot of skin pollution. Since using this my skin has been pretty much crystal clear – I use it every night after cleaning. It’s a staple part of my routine daily
I love this serum so much! The azaelic acid has totally reduced all my type 2 rosacea bumps. It does pill so I only put it on at night, and I would caution to not over-do it. My skin is pretty hardy from using other acids so it might be a bit strong for some, I could see how too much/ too often could burn. There was some purging to begin with but I couldn’t be without it now!
I use a few of this brands products including vitamin c and hydraulic acid and they are all amazing! Work amazingly. But this serum has worked miracles, I had a lot of little sore spots and they have disappeared within a few days on using it. My routine in the morning is vitamin c, hyaluronic acid, followed by my Nivea cream. At night this azelaic acid, hyaluronic acid, followed by my Nivea night cream. Before I used retinol serum before I started with azelaic acid, changing to this product was the best thing I have done. My skin in amazing
This is my second purchase of this product and I really love how it calms and soothes my skin. I suffer from rosacea and I was having a bad flare due to the cold weather we had. I use it at nighttime because it can peel a little because of the nature of the produc
Nearing 40 and my skins showing it. Have some rosacea too. After googling what helps i found this. Wow. Tightens skin and reduces the lines and wrinkles. Helps stop my skin being so oily too. Might be helping with the redness it’s difficult to tell as it’s flushing rosacea I have. Love it.
My rosacea flared up again after no symptoms for a few years. I tried a couple of ointments, one from Amazon and another recommended by the pharmacist in Boots. They didn’t help. The product I used a few years ago from Amazon had been discontinued sadly.
I took a punt on this ointment and it has worked great. My spots and red patches of skin have gone and I’m back to normal.
This ointment is a milky constituency. It soaks in unlike the others I tried. Great price so I thoroughly recommend it.
Runny serum, easy to spread over my whole face with just one pump so a little goes a long way. Absorbs reasonably quickly and makes my skin feel very soft.
I have some areas of uneven skin tone and slight pink/redness on my cheeks which I’m hoping to even out. I’ve been using it for a week and haven’t noticed any changes in skin colour yet. I know it’s early days but I’ve had a quick result from The Ordinary’s Azelaic Acid before, with an instant reduction in redness from the very first application, so I suppose I had very high hopes.
Seems good so far. Will report back if I get more results than just softer skin. Works fine under moisturiser and/or makeup as it dries quickly and goes matte.
This serum goes on really smoothly, no smell, sinks in immediately, takes about 5 mins to completely dry. Gives you clear glowing skin in the morning also my skin is sooo soft now too.
I get spots and oiliness and I’m pregnant at the moment too so really wanted to help clear my spots up and this serum really worked. Highly recommended.
I was recommended this for my rosecaafter many years suffering with my skin, using different lotions, potions & medication by my GP I had seriously given up.
Amazed that my face actually cleared up within 2wks, I can now go out make-up free
This is a very recent regime for me. I have been trying a number of serums, creams etc, so was eager to try another.
My skin is 50 years old and i haven’t really been great for looking after it, have always been fairly lucky but if i knew back then what we know now about skincare i would have made more of an effort.
The Azelaic acid was great for my skin, The first time i applied it it made my skin look amazing!, unfortunately i haven’t noticed a drastic difference since, but i do think its because i haven’t remembered which other products i used in cobination with it that particular first day. Although the product had a very good effect alone, the right moisturiser on top also makes a difference to your overall finish.
I can say is this stuff works. It had a very good effect on how my skin looks.
I have a little redness and some broken veins, only a couple but some days they stand out more than others.
I definitely noitce a difference when using this product.
I have also recently found out certain serums should not be used together so i am working on studying this also, apparently vitamin C should not be used with this product as they can cancel each other out and can cause irritation. Recommendations are to use one in the morning and the other on an evening, not that they cannot ever be used together though.
Please do your own research in these regards, maybe look to other reviews.
Overall i would recommend this item.
I’ve got sensitive skin on my face and I’m dealing with some rosacea on my nose aswell. This serum is easy for me to use, it’s lightweight and has a nice texture to it and it doesn’t make my skin feel greasy or too oily. I feel it absorbs well into my skin and I only need a little of it to cover my whole face so it’ll last a long time. I’m delighted because it hasn’t caused any irritation or discomfort on my sensitive skin areas so for me I’d say it’s sensitive skin approved! My rosacea hasn’t really been reduced which is a shame because I had hoped this serum would make a difference on that front but it has really helped with evening out my skin tone, reducing the appearance of my pores and my skin looks brighter and smoother. I feel the price is good and the quality is good so overall it’s good value for money.
I received this from the Amazon Vine Program.
I used Azelaic Acid before but I stopped after I finished the bottle I was using then. I’m glad I got to try this Azelaic Acid from Q&A. I realised I shouldn’t have stopped using it as part of my skin care routine.
Azelaic acid is a dicarboxylic acid obtained from grains. It helps to unclog pores and refine skin’s surface. It is also a potent antioxidant.
This Azelaic Serum from Q+A is in a 30 ml amber bottle. Serum is white unlike the previous one I used which was in suspension form.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t mention the % Azelaic Acid in the formulation.
I have been using the product for almost a month. I use it only in the evening. Although, this product can be used day and night. I prefer using it just at night because that is when I use all my skin care actives.
It is easy to apply. After double cleansing my face and applying my toner, I apply 2-3 pumps of this serum on my face. It’s easily absorbed and is not greasy on the skin.
I have not experience any breakout or irritation which is a good sign. I also have noticed that the side of my nose feels smoother and has no bumps!
It costs 9.00 at the time of this review. I find this price point affordable. It is also effective based on my experience so I recommend it!
Brown bottle with the pump filled with white serum. Scent is awful- some kind of old yeast. Luckily it is fading and disappearing few minutes from application. Serum is lightweight and is easily absorbed by skin. For the first few minutes I have slight tingling sensation on my skin but no redness or other unwanted effects. It is helping to keep my skin in a good condition, it is brighter and with less spots.
I’ve been wanting to try azeleic acid for a while as I already use a good amount of other BHAs and AHAs in my skincare routine. The serum itself is a milky consistency which smooths over the skin well and doesn’t leave a sticky coating or ball up.
So far it hasn’t irritated my skin at all but on the other hand I haven’t really noticed a major difference. I have been using it only twice a week so will increase the frequency that I use it to perhaps get better results.
I hope you find this review helpful.
I have previously had very good skin, slightly sensitive but not prone to large pores, spots, uneven tone, or anything like that. This all changed over the last year or so as I have developed rosacea. The kind I have causes the acne-looking red bumps.
I have seen online that azelaic acid can help to treat rosacea. Previously I have been using niacinamide, and overnight masks using Sudocrem, and I also take biotin and collagen. The thing which has made the most difference has probably been the Sudocrem, as after a few nights of masks I do find the skin calms down a bit.
This azelaic acid says it’s not suitable for sensitive skin which gives me a bit of pause, but other places say it really is gentle enough for rosacea, so I am giving it a go along with my skin vitamins and sensitive skin moisturisers. I can’t say it has had amazing effects yet but you do need to give it at least a month if not 3 months, to see any real difference. Since the bottle will last a while and the price is reasonable I will keep going and may consider buying some more when this runs out. I really hate the fact my skin is suffering in this way.
This is the first I’ve heard of serums containing the ingredient of Azelaic Acid. Hyaluronic, yes. Azelaic, no. And so far, it seems to be working well. My skin feels firmer and slightly more radiant and plump. The serum absorbs well there really isn’t any negatives so far.
It has.
