My 17 year old Border Collie had very sore paws. I bought these booties so she could go for walks. She got used to them within 10 minutes. Her paws are now healed but I still use her shoes when needed.
my dog is lame in his front paws and these seems to be more durable than previous sets we have purchased. Thicker rubber sole at the nails prevents my dog from wearing his nails down and I assume offers some comfort to my dog as he hasn’t said anything 🙂
Have had various booties for an industrious and determined elderly Dobermann!
These are the first to have not been chewed in less than 24hrs!
Bought to continue healing up a poorly toe, and have been worth the money!
The Miki boot is useless.
The kaigo boot was useless and expensive!
These are brilliant!
Only 1 boot needed but using all 4 so she doesn’t know which to destroy first!
Worked so far!
The size, largest, is pawfect, waterproof thus far, and not as uncomfortable looking as her previous booties!
Would highly recommend!
My older large dog has arthritis which has caused his front paws to turn under when he walks, cracked and broken claws and cut knuckles. These shoes have helped stop that and because they have good firm soles and treads they help him with traction as standing up has become difficult. Beware when you tighten the straps you need to put a finger in the boot and tighten to that to avoid rubbing. The nurse at the vet was impressed as they gave ankle support as well.
I used to use these for my elderly, arthritic spaniel previously as they supported her feet and made it less painful for her to walk in her later years before she “grew wings and learned to fly”
I bought some more for my 4 Yr old spaniel for the nasty winter we have had to protect her feet from frostbite (yes, dogs can get frostbite) she is a typical dog so not fond of being “dressed up” but I honestly think she appreciated them when on the frozen ground and I felt happier knowing her feet were protected. She was able to run and walk normally in them and the double adjustable straps are fantastic. Highly recommended.
I bought these as my girlie had sloughed her pads and needed something comfortable and durable so she can still go for walks. She seemed perfectly comfortable, went from being lame with sore feet, to weight bearing whilst wearing the boots. Stayed firmly in place, don’t be afraid to pull the straps tight. She ran about off lead and they didn’t slip once. She is an energetic, young kelpie. Dry in rain, will become soaked if submerges feet in water – but that’s how that material works. Did exactly what I need them to do.
After a lot of research and reading umpteen reviews I ordered these size 7 boots for my 13.5 year old GSD who has degenerative myleopathy and is starting to scuff his feet. I really did not expect them to stay on but am pleased to have been proved wrong. He is walking between 25 to 45 minutes a day with no issues. The quality and fit are excellent with a sturdy rubber sole which wraps up over the front toe area. As we only need the boots for his back feet we will keep the other 2 as spares. Would not hesitate to recommend.
I spent quite a bit of time measuring my dog’s paws and ordered the right size. He is a chocolate labrador and needed a size 8 so it is important to take the time to measure properly. The shoes are a perfect fit and my dog seems to find them comfortable!
I have a very active dog who runs chases the ball and skids alot. The shoes stay on perfectly and that is one of the most important things.
The shoes are water resistant but if the foot is immersed in water then water can get in. they are find in the rain.
I am so pleased with these shoes, they do the job excellently and I can highly recommend.
Had to use 2 of the booties today as my dog Ellie injured both back paw pads. They appear to be robust and good quality. Even after a 2 mile walk in leaves, puddles and mud, they both stayed on without needing to re- adjust them and protected her paws. She never once objected to them or tried to remove them. She just accepted them as soon as they were put on after 5 steps of a funny walk. The straps are both long and the Velcro strong. They are soft inside including the base with a light rubber strip around the rim inside which would help to keep them on. The top Velcro tie is reflective. The sewn in gusset on front of boot helps to keep dirt/ water out and makes it a lot easier to put on and remove bootie. I definitely recommend these and I will be buying a spare set.
I’ve tried several variations over the years with dogs . My active 5 year old GSP sliced his paw pad . Dressed it & bandaged, plus taped a poo bag around dogs ankle to keep dry. Used just one boot , slipped on , nice strong sole & double Velcro . Of course they try to get it off & kick their legs a bit awkward for a few seconds. However it’s been brilliant for walking on soft grassy areas & he’s running around happily. I just use it for walks. Highly recommend it , I got a size 6 for a smaller GSP , a bit bigger size or a Labrador etc would be a 7 possibly 8 . However the 6 was roomy..
Needed a boot for a cut toe pad and tried these. I was very pleased that they fit well and have stayed on during several walks keeping his foot nice and dry and protected.
He’s a big boned greyhound, I ordered sizes 7 and 8 as the measurements weren’t really suitable for sighounds with their long narrow feet and the 7 fits him well. The Velcro straps can be tightened to ensure a good fi
Used these shoes to trian my pup to walk with them on for when she’s older and the floors are too hot in the summer they stayed on even with her trying to get them off easy to wash down didn’t make her slip and breathable for her paws, would recommend if your planning on trian oh your dog for them I have a xl bully she’s now 6 months so will need a bigger size now but size 4 did her up untill 4/5 months old and she walks calmly in them now so can get her forever pair.
My vet recommended boots like these as our bull terrier is suffering from an open wound on her pad. These are great for slipping on for trips to the garden. Our dog took to using straight away. In the pack you get 4, 2 left and 2 right. Sturdy velcro to keep on and reflect tape handy for nights. They wash up with a bit of washing up liquid as paws are smelly. Been using for quite some time and still looking good. We did as per instruction draw around paws to gauge the size needed.
These initial shoes kept coming off and I contacted the seller. They suggested a smaller size and sent me a free replacement which I really appreciated. My dog is a golden retriever and I had originally ordered size 8 but was advised to try size 6. His foot measurements are 2.5 ins wide and 3.5 ins long. Much better. My dog is old and has arthritis so he tends to sometimes walk on the front of his foot rather than the sole and has worn his back feet claws down till they bleed. Hence the shoes. I have tried several different types and these are by far the best. The seller was so helpful and kind. Well recommended.
Very good as you can see in the video dog very happy brought these for trips when she need to walk in slippy rocks for her joints. Its half water resistant I would say they look good as well and not problems with tears or cuts in shoes
I had to buy boots for my Dalmatian …he had started to drag his front paws due to hypothyroidism. These have worked well. It was funny when he first had them on but he’s used to them now. However when his feet get wet, he’s not so keen. They do not stop water getting in but are protective.
We bought these for our Leonberger bitch, weighing 63Kg. Size 8 just big enough. They seem quite good quality and durable. Not that easy to get on securely, mainly due to the size of her paws and her long fur. One strap is elasticated so is much easier to pull tight, I have suggested to them that making both straps elasticated would be better. And a longer body, more like a sock, would be easier to secure tightly. Once we do get them on though they do stay on for normal running etc, but may not stay on if the dog is playing with other dogs. But then no protective boot would stay on in those circumstances I guess. We have had a cheaper set and these are much better. For the money, a fifth of the price of some, I think these are very good value.
Great product and good quality. My dog only needs to wear 1 at a time to protect an injured toe, so I have 3 spares! The sole seems hard wearing and the straps are well positioned so the shoes don’t fall off (even when chasing squirrels). My only gripe is that they aren’t quite as waterproof as I expected : an hour walking through tall wet grass meant they were wet inside and they take a while to dry out.
Would recommend though, good quality for the price.
OK so they took a while to adjust, she was like bambi on ice at first, lots of tripping over and was actually concerned she was going to serioisly hurt herself but please be patient because once your dog gets used to them they are great. My dog has grass allergies and gets inflammed, really painful paws , the shoes have made a massive difference and now she actually refuses to walk unless she has them on. When we put the shoes on, her tail is wagging, she runs and plays in them, we can see a big difference in her when she is wearing them vs when she isn’t, she limps without them on. People do give us some
funny looks when they see her in them, maybe thinking we dressing her up for fashion or something but as long as they are keeping her paws from becoming painful again, we do not care.
I bought these boots for my seven month old, 15kg cocker spaniel who’d cut his paw. These were the third and final set of boots I purchased, and only wished I’d found them first.
I bought a size 4 and they fit him perfectly, both with and without his paw being taped (vetrap, not a bandage). The boot (as I only needed one) stayed on when put on correctly! But the double straps help secure them in place. It’s best to do the bottom strap first, as this will tighten the boot around the paw.
They’re not waterproof in snow, but are water resistant on wet ground and grass. They’re also durable, something I found the previous boots I bought were not. For that alone, these are definitely worth the money.
To make sure you buy the right size, I’d suggest measuring the paw, whilst the dog is standing.
My border collie cut her paw for the second time in as many years, however this time round, after two sets of sitches that only partially worked, the vets said that the rest of the wound would need to granulate itself and I was told, she could go for a walk so long as she had a shoe on the keep the wound clean. From her previous I had purchased the Hurtta boots, for the size of a collie, and they were great to use when she had a dressing on, but far too big for her standard leg/foot so came onto Amazon to search for a smaller, new set and came across these. I’ll be honest, I purchased these because they where the cheapest, size was is in stock and with prime they’d be delivered the next day, which meant after 5 weeks of 15 min block walks, hopefully my dog would be able to go to the park! My dog is a charger, runner and skidder and slider (hence two paw injuries). These boots have been fantastic, I only needed 1, so the other 3 are great for spares and for rotation of washing! We’ve had them for just over two weeks, she doesn’t mind it being put on and for her walks we’ve had an array of weather; rain, mud, snow and ice and whilst my dog has been running around as her normal self this boot has amazingly stayed on. During this morning super muddy, hour walk, I thought I’d never see the boot again but it was still in place at the end of the walk. Best purchase Amazon purchase I highly recommend these shoes. Also I ordered a size 4, for my border collie, if that helps anyone with sizing.
