Large bags of reinforced woven plastic. Ideal for garden waste trimmings but not large amounts of heavy items. Has a thin plastic enforced strip you push in yourself to make the opening more sturdy. Lightweight. Two handles opposite each other at the top and one at the bottom side.
Size wise I got 120 litre bags and when full they still fit in my car to take to the tip. These have been a absolute god send while I trimmed about 100 foot of bushes over a 5 day period otherwise I would have used my green bin and that only gets emptied ever 3 weeks. Now I can keep my garden looking really good
Will serve my purpose very well. Having just received the bags I hope they will serve there purpose for a long time. They certainly look as if they will do very well
The plastic woven green body seems strong, and the handles are okay.
These are also improved by the plastic band that slides into a pocket around the rim, meaning they stay open – without another pair of hands holding them, making loading easier.
So, for general garden waste, these are ample and strong enough, available in various sizes, bearing in mind a large bin-bag is max 50L, so at 120 litres, this is nearly 2.5 bin bags of material, and there comes a point where a bag can become cumbersome to handle.
The largest size at 500L is approaching a “dumpy bag” size in which sand or gravel is delivered from builders merchants (approx 700L).
I’m not sure how the three sizes can be the same price? And not having seen the larger sizes I can’t comment on them.
I ordered these to use for transporting logs from the wood store at the bottom of our garden, into the house and these sacks are ideal! They are the perfect size and hold plenty of logs and the bags are strong and very durable. The handles are secure and strong enough to bear the weight of a bag full of logs, I would say approx weight of 30kg and definitely seemed like they could withstand more weight if needed.
The bags are a nice natural green colour so wouldn’t look out of place in your garden for storage stuff, but as we use ours for logs, they tend to be kept in our wood store.
