easy set up, but dont connect to wi fi until set up is complete. otherwise laptop just hangs at half way point as its updating the windows system making you think there is a problem. once the set up is complete THEN connect to wi fi and you can enter the windows update page in the settings menu and begin to download all of the updates. so much easier that way, at least it was for me!
The laptop is big! However it is pretty thin and suprisingly lightweight. The screen is gorgeous at a huge 17.3″, making everything just crystal clear and large. The keyboard is large and a pleasure to type on, however the keyboard layout is not english UK, therefore you have to use one of the included keyboard covers to get the keys to reflect the UK Keyboard layout. The protector changes the keys so that they display correctly – however using the layout changer will also protect your keyboard from dust and spills. The trackpad is a little bit of a pain, it has no seperate left/right click buttons, it is just one plate with no physical buttons, it works great, however i do prefer clickable mouse buttons
The laptop comes with windows 11 pre-installed, a basic set up procedure is required which takes around 30 mins.
The laptop has 5ghz wifi, and whilst the processor is not the fastest it copes with everyday tasks like web browsing, emails and office documents very well. RAM is good for such a budget device. Boot up times were great, just a few seconds! I experianced zero lag in any of the applications i opened and used. There is no way you could game on this laptop, well serious games anyway! Things like solitare will work just fine.
I honestly can not recommend this laptop enough, for the money i think it is beyond superb! I am super chuffed with this product!!
