Positives:
1. Works on the Nikon Z8. No warning messages.
2. The USB-C is a neat fature. Can charge the battery on the move.
3. Good back up battery at a fraction of the price.
Cannot comment on the durability as its almost brand new for me. Will update in 6 months.
I got these batteries to replace some older batteries for my Canon R5. The thing about Smallrig is that they make product that work, hard wearing and affordable (saving around 60% compared to a Canon battery). They work perfectly and can be charged together without lugging around a mains adapter. Would highly recommend!
Good substitute for genuine Fuji battery, the ability to charge via its own USB socket is an excellent Idea. Charge doesn;t last quit as long as the genuine article but not enough to worry about. Good produc
Works with the Nikon Z9. Cheaper than the Nikon version. Does not need a charger as it comes with a usb lead that plugs into the battery. Great service and delivery. Highly recommended.
Used this battery with a Nikon Z7 MKII and it works perfectly. The USB C charging port saves you having to take a charging unit when travelling and enables charging in a variety of locations. Battery life seems very good.
The battery charged ok and instantly recognised by the camera. I would say it lasts as long as the original Canon battery but costs significantly less. Very happy with it as a second battery.
It fits well and charges well. It comes with a capacity of 1250mAh, impressive, and the USB C charging makes it outstanding, ensuring a quack and convenient charging compared with the original.
A great battery from SmallRig and I would recommend it.
Overall this battery seems to be a good quality battery. I like it uses USB-C to charge, so I don’t have to bring an extra cable with me on holiday or when I travel with my camera.
As I always forget to charge the battery, I am so happy it charges quickly. A couple of times I remembered to charge it only before breakfast, in less than an hour of charging it was enough to last the whole day.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
This camera battery has been a reliable addition to my photography gear. Its fast charging capability significantly reduces downtime, ensuring I’m ready to capture more moments. The convenience of USB-C charging is a plus, allowing me to use the same charger for multiple devices. The battery’s capacity is sufficient for extended use, essential for long shooting sessions. It’s a practical solution for photographers needing consistent, reliable power for their camera.
I have a couple of these and I much prefer them to the one that came with my GFX100ll. They seem to last a bit longer and not needing a charger is great.
Fantastic battery.
This is second one i have purchased so i have one in camera and one in the grip.
No need for charger or dock. USB cable plugs directly into battery.
Holds charge superbly.
Quality materials and perfect fit in my camera which also recognises it.
Cannot fault it.
I have tried other brands of this battery and they just weren’t as good in every aspect.
You pay a little more but you get a whole lot more !!
This is a good alternative to the original, slightly less expensive than the original, however the bigest plus is the fact that it can be charged with a simple USB C charger rather than having get the bulky charger that comes with the original.
This EN-EL25 USB-C Rechargeable camera battery (Model No. 4333) arrives in a small, SmallRig branded cardboard box. Inside the box is the battery along with a USB Type-A to Type-C charging cable.
The battery is well made and has a distinct colour, making it easy to pick out from your other batteries. It is designed to be the same shape as the original Nikon EN-EL25 battery so fits any compatible camera, such as the Nikon Z30, Z50, etc.
Unlike the original Nikon battery, this one has a USB type-C socket in it, allowing you to charge the battery directly, without the need to use a charger. Next to the socket is a small LED charging indicator. Also, the capacity of this battery is 1250mAh, which is larger than the originals 1120mAh capacity, meaning you can get more shots per charge.
In use the battery worked very well, and the extra capacity allowed me to use it for longer than my existing original batteries. The convenience of the charging port meant that I no longer needed to carry a separate battery charger with me, especially as USB chargers are so ubiquitous these days.
In conclusion, when looking at just the battery side of things, this is a great, well made, replacement battery for the original Nikon EN-EL25 battery in its own right. However, on top of that, you get all the benefits and convenience that the built-in charging port provides. Making it easy to give this a 5 star rating.

As batteries go this one does the job it is meant to do.
Fits easily and without any issues.
Charges well discharges fine no loss of power over the original battery at all.
Cannot complain and definitely worth it.
This rechargeable battery offers a capacity of 1250mAh, ensuring sufficient power for extended shooting sessions. The USB C fast charging capability is a standout feature, allowing for a quick recharge in just 105 mi ns. This is especially convenient for photographers who need to keep their gear powered up on the go
This is working in my z50 with no problems at all, The battery life is great, no compatibility issues at all and it can be charged either in the OEM charger or via USB which makes it handy on the go, overall, no issues or negatives to report, another great battery from smallrig.
So far so very good. The battery needed charging, as expected, before putting in the camera, but once in there were no complaints from the XT5, and it shows it as fully charged. Not sure as yet how many shots I will get from this, but the main benefit for me is having a spare which can be charged from a power bank whilst off the camera, no need for an additional bulky charger and plug when travelling.
It comes with a base cover which doesn’t fit the Fuji battery, so there must be some shape difference, but it’s so minor that the camera doesn’t notice.
The review below says you dont get the green H+ shooting high speed mode on the canon R5.
I can confirm with a lens that supports high speed shooting like the RF 14-35 (not all canon lenses do support high speed shooting) most RF lenses do, you do get high speed shooting on the Canon R6 and R6MK2.
So the battery is a very good and much cheaper alternative to the expensive Canon one.
I normally stick to OEM batteries but decided to take a chance with this SMALLRIG battery for my R6 mike
and so far I have no regrets. It took approximately just over an hour to charge it out of the box using the original canon charger. (I haven’t tried charging via the supplied USB-C cable)
I checked the battery for overheating etc once it had charged and all was fine so no issues there.
My first trip out and I shot 475 images with my R6MKII and RF100 Macro. Camera settings were One Shot
Single Shooting Electronic 1st Curtain and the Camera switched on permanently for 3 hours. The battery showed 73% power remaining. The camera recognises the battery when you look in the battery info menu.
Time will tell how well the battery will perform etc but at 39.90 I am glad I have made the purchase and it is very well made and as with SMALLRIG the quality is very good (Even the Blue finish isn’t off putting)
If you are looking for an alternative to the OEM Canon LP-E6NH i can recommend this one.
