This Montessori style toy brings endless amounts of fun! With magnetic balls for sorting, numbers for mathematical development and stacking blocks to improve motor skills, this is a three in one educational toy that kids will absolutely love. Brilliantly made, a good price and extremely fun it’s definitely worth the purchase.
This board is incredibly good, it helps your child count up to 10 it also helps your child to recognise colours and shapes. Which is great. A lovely gift for anyone.
Would highly recommend
We really enjoyed this product its an excellent toy for toddlers teaching them to develop their concentration and numeracy skills. My son particularly loved the shape sorter and stacker part of the toy and the magnetic colour sorting game. He happily played with this toy for hours and loved feeding the ants with the magnetic ant maze puzzle. I would say it’s a great toy for improving their patience and concentration and I would definitely recommend this toy for 3 years plus.
I got this for my son education to help with numbers and it really helped. There loads to do and my son is really enjoying it and actually asks to use it which is just fantastic.
The overall build quality is really good. No issues whatsoever.
I would highly recommend this se
This toy is very well made, my little boy loves using the magnet to drag the balls into their correct ‘houses’
The toy is strong and durable and an amazing learning tool that shall be loved for many years to come I imagine!
I’m really a big fan of anything related to or associated with Montessori as I believe designers and developers put time and effort into thinking about the product. They are making to ensure there are elements where children can develop their sensory and find pincer movement skills and this is no exception.
This toy is well built. It’s got a great fit and finish and I think the colours are very vibrant. It’s got that lovely wooden feel to it that you simply don’t get when purchasing plastic toys which I feel support the idea of this toy lasting longer than a plastic counterpart Increasing its usability and enhancing its value for money.
I bought this jigsaw and my little ones have not left it alone since we opened it. Their is so many aspects to it including shapes, colours and numbers. The puzzle is good quality and comes in a box so we will store it all away together as not to loose any peiece, that is when they finally put it down.
This Montessori toy is a two in one toy as it includes a wooden stacking shapes and number match game on the top half of the board and a magnetic maze on the bottom half of the board which is an aspect I really like. This toy uses hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, as well as teaching toddlers about shapes, colours, and numbers.
There are four stacking shapes for each of the five colours. There are five shapes to learn in this toy which are circle, rectangle, triangle, square, and pentagon. The shapes have holes in them which correlate to the numbers 1 – 5. There are ten numbers which need to be slotted into their corresponding slot which encourages number recognition and matching. All the numbers have different colours although some of the shades of colours are difficult to distinguish for children. All of the wooden pieces as well as the wooden board are well made with soft rounded edges making them safe for children.
The magnetic maze contains ten coloured balls corresponding to the numbers 1-10. There are ten compartments with coloured numbers 1-10 but what I do not like are the images in the compartments and so other colours are present on the images therefore the coloured number is not as clear as it should be. The images correspond to the number but the compartments just look too busy in my opinion. I would have preferred the ten compartments having larger sized coloured numbers to make it clear as to which colour balls and how many go into the slot. The magnetic pen provided allows the magnetic balls to be moved into their corresponding compartments and the pen works well to move the balls although sometimes it picks up more than one ball.
Overall this is a two in one toy which is handy and space saving for parents like me as I do not need to store two separate toys away and have both toys in one here. It is a bit expensive in my opinion but a nice toy to have.
I ordered this item to accompany one similar I’ve already got.
These are good for youngsters by starting out recognising colours and numbers firstly, as they progress the game extends with them as they learn to manipulate the magnetic balls into the slotsit’s not easy and requires a lot of patience, but as they master the first few, their interest grows with it.
My 3 year old granddaughter knows her colours and is starting to recognise the numbers as she counts aloud and picks each number to whichever number she’s counting out load.
Surprisingly she has started to be able to manoeuvre the balls into the right coloured slots, and maintains her concentration levels for a good spell! It hasn’t been thrown in frustration YET!!
The board is well made and robust, and the transparent cover is securely attached. Now I have two, her 9 year old sister gets to have her turn without hogging it, as she enjoys the getting the balls into the slots also.
Gave this as a gift for my three-year-old, and it’s been a hit! This toy is not only vibrant and engaging but also serves as an excellent educational tool. My little one is having a blast recognizing colours, numbers, and shapes while also developing his grip. The magnetic maze adds an extra layer of sensory fun. At 19.79, the price feels reasonable for the quality and educational value it provides. Here’s hoping it holds up well over time. Overall, a great purchase, and I would definitely recommend it to other parents looking for a fun and educational toy for their toddlers.
Overall its a great toy , very educational and fun.
My 2 year old absolutely loved it, however there is a little room for improvement…sometimes the magnet takes two balls instead of one but its still amazing.
This is a good quality toy, with a few different activities to keep little ones busy, all on one board.
It’s well-made and has a nice smooth finish – no rough bits of wood etc. Well painted too, with nice, bright colours.
Different pieces for a range of activities and skill building, including counting, sorting, colour matching and fine motor skills.
Magnet activity is fun, though a bit tricky to control – some of the beads seem to have a mind of their own!
All in all, there’s lots here for toddlers to enjoy – fun to play with and learning skills too!
I do like wooden toys for kids, they feel more substantial and robust and somehow a bit more classic and classy. This toy is no exception; it is well-made with all the wooden pieces sanded smooth and either painted in bright colours or left in natural wood.
It is a collection of puzzles that little ones can enjoy solving while also improving skills like observation, hand-eye coordination and number recognition and counting.
The top line of the puzzle is a stacking task with loose pieces that are circular, rectangular, triangular, square and pentagonal, with 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 holes in, respectively. The board has down rods to match the holes and the child’s task is to stack the same shaped pieces on the corresponding rods.
The second line has recesses cut in for the number 1 to 10 and coloured pieces shaped to the numbers, so the child matches the shape to the recesses and fits it in. This is quite educational because while the child might start by just matching shapes, the pieces go into the holes in number order, so is familiarising the child that 2 goes after 1 and before 3, and so on. ABC also gives a parent the opportunity to reinforce the number names and order.
The bottom half of the puzzle is covered by a clear acrylic sheet that is fixed in place over two lines of connected chambers. In the chambers are a collection of small coloured spheres that are maybe ball bearings or maybe plastic with some ferrous material in there because they are attracted to a magnet. There is a rod on a string connected to the puzzle and this rod has a magnet at one end so the child can hold it like a pencil and use it to ‘pick up’ individual ball bearings, move them to one the chambers and drop them there by lifting the magnet away. The chambers are each labelled with a number and a colour so the child can use the magnetic ‘pencil’ to sort the balls either by colour or number.
So there’s lots of activities here for the child to do, all educational and fun. Here’s my only criticism: the toy is labelled for 3 years plus (probably a safety thing because of the risk skills a younger child swallow one of the ball bearings – even though they are held under the acrylic sheet and are not accessible, I guess if the sheet broke or came off somehow, they could be a risk there). But I think some I’d that activities, like the shape stacking, are probably aimed more at younger children: 18 months or two year olds could probably do this part and also the number jigsaw pieces, and by 3 years they might find those tasks a bit too simple, though the dexterity of sorting the ball bearings with the pen lends itself to older kids. This is why I say the age-appropriate is a bit confused. Myself, I’d probably give it to a 18 month/2 year old but just make did they only use it under supervision (just in case the balls get out) and then, maybe by 3, they’ll be mastering the magnetic sorting task.
I requested this for my 4 year old grandson but I’m not sure it’s age appropriate.
Positives: It’s Montessori, so of course it’s well made with good quality materials. Bright colours and all the removal parts are wooden, with no sharp or rough edges. Multiple activities, including colours, shapes and numbers. Very good for developing fine motor skills. The acrylic screen is well secured. Comes in a box for storage and there is a warning re choking hazards for under 3s.
Negatives: Another magnet ‘pencil’ would have been useful as 2 children could play together.
My dilemma is the age suggestion for this toy. It says 3+ on the box and 3-5 years in the Amazon description. Fine motor skills are required to manoeuvre the magnetic beads but the colour and shape activities would suggest a lower age range. My grandson is only just 4 and he will easily match numbers and shapes so I’m not sure how long this will be engaging to him. It’s a really nice toy, with multiple activities but I would say the age range is 3-4 rather than 3-5.
