The microfibre material is soft and so safe to use on car without causing friction or marks. The size is large and easy to use. Can easily absorb water. Reasonable thickness and good quality. The price is slightly expensive in my opinion. Overall, I am happy to own it and will recommend.
Simply put this microfibre drying cloth does just that, it is super absorbent and leaves a nice streak-free shine to the car.
My only very small criticism would be its size is 40cm x 60cm, maybe 60cm x 60cm would be a better size?
Good quality and well made.
I’m quite impressed with its performance in helping me maintain my vehicle’s shine. Here’s why I’ve given it a solid 4-star rating:
Pros:
Superior Absorbency: These microfiber towels exhibit impressive absorbency. They soak up water quickly and efficiently, leaving my car, moto, and SUV almost dry with just one or two passes.
Double-Twist Pile: The double-twist pile design enhances its drying capabilities. It feels thick and plush, making it easy to glide over the vehicle’s surface without causing any scratches or swirl marks.
Generous Size: The 40 x 60 cm (14×16 inch) size of these towels is ample for drying larger surfaces, like the hood or roof of my car. I find it convenient as it requires fewer passes.
Borderless Design: The borderless design is a nice touch. It eliminates the risk of accidentally scratching the car’s surface with any rough edges, ensuring a gentle and safe drying process.
Cons:
Color Choice: While the grey color is practical and hides dirt well, it would be great to have a variety of color options to choose from to match personal preferences.
In Conclusion, the Towelogy XCT_01 Microfibre Car Drying Cloth is a reliable choice for anyone looking for efficient and scratch-free car drying towels. The superior absorbency and generous size make the drying process quick and easy. I appreciate the borderless design for added safety during use.
Positives:-
Large, 400mm x 600mm, car drying towel.
Thick, double-sided, and very absorbent.
Made of 1200gsm microfibre.
Negatives:-
Only that I reviewed a different, but similar, microfibre car drying towel for Amazon Vine on 25th March 2023, but that was larger – 600mm 600mm.
I gave it a 5 star rating, and I have taken that product into consideration when writing this review.
Observations:-
Came in a sealed clear plastic bag, which also contained a product. information leaflet
Conclusion:-
Apart from the different size, there is not a lot to choose between this car drying towel and the one I reviewed previously, but, after comparing them together, and taking everything, including value for money, into consideration, IMO, the first one has the edge overall.
So, as I gave that car drying towel a 5 star rating, IMO, this one merits 4 stars.
We have dark cars that after either a hand or car show up dried water marks, even following a wax wash.
What I liked:
————–
* This cloth is sufficiently large and absorbent to dry any one of our cars without the need to rely upon another
* The cost at the time of review at 11.49 is about righ
This very large cloth more like a towel is great for cleaning off a windshield when it gets a little grubby and the wipers just aren’t getting the job done. It is super absorbent and super soft so very good to use not only on windows but the whole car itself without worry of scratching.
It leaves no smudges behind which is great and is a lovely towel to have in the boot for random moments when you may need it.
This is a microfibre towel drying towel for drying a car after washing.
It measures about 40 x 60cm which is perfect size for the hands. The microfibres help to soak up the water and dry the car to avoid those water spots on your car after washing.
The drying towel feels good quality and weighty and well sewn seams so that there are no edges.
I have a Toyota Auris. Love the car but the inside front window has a big condensation problem in the colder months. I’d previously kept a tea towel in the car to wipe it down with ,but this is way thicker and does a great job in the early morning soaking it all up and leaving no streaks. Bit pricey for what it is but it is of a high quality.
This is a microfibre car drying cloth, which arrives in simple plastic packaging.
I really like this drying cloth. It is a good size, at 14″ x 16″, has a decent pile to it, no hard edges, and has a quality feel. It is nice and thick without being too much; it’s easy to manoeuvre across surfaces and to get into the nooks and crannies that heavier weight cloths can struggle with. It is very absorbent and it does leave a streak-free finish.
With care, I can just about dry the whole of my car off, but it would be easier to use two of these cloths. It is quicker to use this than the ones I currently have, and it does give a superior finish. Very pleased indeed and I do recommend.
At the time of writing this review, the cost is 11.49, with a 5% voucher, and that’s heading to the top end of what I would be happy to pay.
My Partner uses these cloths all the time in his body shop after they’ve valeted customers cars, this one is 40 xx 60, so fairly large, and is made from thick 1200GSM microfibre material.
It’s soft and big and absorbs well, and most importantly it doesn’t scratch the paintwork.
It does have a weird edge though with a seam running around it, but it doesn’t seem to interfere with its purpose, and it’s made light work of drying the cars after being washed.
It’s also machine washable, so easy to keep clean.
Twisted pile microfiber car cloth spotless results
I have used some other microfiber car cloths in the past but find them to be very thin and do not hold enough water by that I mean when you’re cleaning especially if you’re cleaning a big van or car you have to keep ringing them out and it’s time-consuming but with this microfiber cloth it is heavy weighted and really good quality unlike some of the others on the market l cleaned my van with this and found that it did a whole side without having to be wrung out making it much easier to get the water off of the van or the car which makes it simpler and quicker and this is such a good size and if you’re not using this for drying off the car / van then you can use it to apply your shampoo with as it certainly holds a lot of water so easy to use
After I used the cloth I simply rinsed it out in cold water this this microfiable towel in my opinion is certainly one of the best on the market at the moment and I have used quite a few
This is a great little drying towel. It is smaller than some of the more expensive offerings, with a shorter pile, and this is clearly why it costs less. It is half the price of my previous purchase but definitely not half the towel. It is gentle on the paintwork and absorbs moisture readily without leaving streaks. The only downside of the smaller size is that you may need two for anything larger than a hatchback, as it can quickly become saturated. Overall it’s a nice drying towel that does the job well.
Reviewing Towelogy XCT_01 Microfibre Car Drying Cloths
Edit after using it in anger for the first time – excellent. The absorbency is every bit as good as promised, and leave a good streak free finish. The only difficulty is wringing it out once it’s full of water. Ideally it takes two people to hold opposite ends and twist, but you can do it yourself and if you don’t manage to get anywhere near all the water out, it still soaks up plenty more. Very nice cloth indeed!
Nice cloth and not too much else to say. It’s a good big size at 40x60cm and effectively a double layer of material folded over and stitched closed. Very absorbent for drying, but you could also use it as a wash cloth as it can hold a very large amount of water for a high foaming wash. Not bad at all, and can’t find any reason not to give it 5*!
This is a microfibre car drying cloth , size 40cm by 60cm in a grey colour. It is double thickness, so very thick. It is a good size, is made from a nice soft material and seems well made. It is very absorbent and dried the car well after washing. It is just basically a thick microfibre cloth, although slightly larger than normal, so at 11.49 I think this is a little on the expensive side..
I have been using a very similar towel from another brand and although it is slightly larger than this one from Towelogy, it isn’t quite large enough to completely dry my large estate car, so i thought i’d pick up this one, so i should be able to completely dry the car using both.
As soon as you remove this twin sided drying towel from the packet, you can feel that it is a quality product.
The towel is slightly smaller than the existing one, measuring approximately 60 x 40cm, and whilst it’s 1200GSM density is also 200GSM less it still feels quite soft and fairly luxurious.
With the material being fairly thick and soft, it not only makes it safer for your paintwork, but also makes it more absorbent and leaves your car dryer after washing. It’s car drying qualities are improved even further due to double twist fibres and it’s twin sided design, this effectively means joining 2 towels back to back giving you twice the amount of surface area to absorb water.
***** Conclusion *****
I’m really pleased with this product from Towelogy.
I think it offers good value for money for the high quality that it brings and it really does speed up the drying process. I should note that it is unlikely to be large enough to completely dry a mid-size car on its own.
I also like that it has an edgeless design, which again adds to the quality of the product and also helps protect your paintwork as there are no hard edges.
All in all, I have no complaints and would have no problem recommending it.
A nice decent sized towel for drying the car with. Only thing I was a little disappointed with I was expecting 2 in the pack due to the word “cloths” in the title indicating multiple, more than one. I didn’t see the 1 pack at the very end of the title.
Other than that it seems a great addition to the car cleaning kit.
