I used it the whole time I was in south africa, when the electricity was actually on, and I can only say, I wished I had bought more than one. It worked great for all my tech.
The plug worked very well. I saw some people had moaned about it turning the switch off as it touches it but I managed to push it in without pushing the switch, some places I couldn’t push it all the way in but it would still work. I had used it in many sockets in different hotels and at a friends house where all of the switches would touch it and had no issues.
A useful product on our 4 week trip to the Cape S Africa. The adapter itself is great but I just want to point out that occasionally the adapter was “too big” for the socket. We stayed in numerous types of accommodation which had a variety of sockets. Photos 1&2 show the on/off switch to the top of the switch. As you pushed the adapter in it turned the switch to the off position. The design might have been better with the USB port to the base of the adapter? We did purchase a couple of single adapters as seen in photo 4 which worked well. Photo 3 shows a variety of sockets including one that fits a uk plug! Ive given it 5 Stars as 95% of the time the adapter was very useful.
