Great for getting my steps in whilst working at home. Not very noisy which is great and tracks how many steps you have done which is awesome. Love the remote to work i
Very pleased with this. Arrived well packaged and in good condition. Was very easy to set up and the instructions on adjusting the belt to centre it were very clear and easy to work out.
It has been a perfect addition under my desk for a standing/walking desk and the remote control to adjust speed is a great help.
Very pleased. Definitely recommend.
Pretty slimline for a treadmill. My daughter uses it to walk at her desk and is able to store it upright when not using it. Be aware, it is a very large heavy box. But of course it is.
This arrived within a few days, i’m really happy with it, its not great for upstairs, can hear it through floorboards, so brought it downstairs and its great, does exactly as described!
I am thrilled with this. It arrived reaonably fast and well packaged. Very simple construction (nothing really needed). There is a tool for making sure the belt is straight and some lubricant for every 200km.
It has wheels on one end, while it isn’t the easiest to lift up and move if you do not have a lot of space, it’s fine and the wheels help.
I was worried about neighbours but it’s not like pounding a treadmill at the gym – to work from home you are not walking much faster than 1.5km an hour! I have carpets and I can’t imagine the neighbours are aware of any major noise. The belt itself does make a noise and I therefore use Loop noise cancelling earbuds just because I am very sensitive to sound, it is absolutely fine with the earbuds.
I thought I would use it for maybe 25mins at the start and end of each day but I have been on it for up to 5 hours a day working.
Walking and working helps a lot of with focus and alertness especially in the winter months. Potentially it may not get used as much in the summer, but for winter arguably essential, especially if raining etc. With a standing desk riser, treadmill and SAD lamp I am properly set up.
It shows time, distance and calories.
So pleased with it and can’t think of anything really negative to say about it. Perhaps a folding one would be the only upgrade I would go for, but I can see myself keeping this for years until it breaks. I took out the 3 year guarantee and hope it lasts much longer.
Update – used daily since 8 Dec, now 3 Jan and it stopped working!
I wanted to increase my fitness, and daily step-count, and this treadmill has proved to be a solution. it is very heavy and the instructions advise against storing it vertically, unlike the product information shown on Amazon. It is extrememly sturdy and, though it’s a ‘flatbed’, I put a chair back alongside when I use it and that enables me to place my hand there for (my) stability. The speed is indicated in KM per hour but I think the speed is understated. The one thing that bothers me is the lubricating process. Although I’ve watched videos, it seems rather primitive and cumbersome for the 21st Century. There is no indicator to say when lubrication needs to take place and the actual process appears to be a bit hit-and-miss. Incidentally, no assembly is required.
Love this treadmill, it will be really helpful during the winter months as I hate walking in the dark. A little noisier than I expected but not unreasonably. Fits under the settee nicely.
It arrives within 3 days (impressed) and fully assembled so don’t pay extra for “assemly”
My setup is using it under the desk while I work at home (you need to learn some new mouse skills….)
Its fairly quiet, certainly a lot quieter than I thought it would be and the ones in the gym.
The remote works very well and is simple to use to start, stop and change speeds.
Time will tell and I hope to write more after a few months but after a week of use I am very pleased with the build quality and cost.
The treadmill is a good size for using indoors. Don’t think the distance/calorie counter are very accurate. Beware this is very heavy, the box said 2 man delivery. My partner had to lift it from the van & had to ask the delivery guy to help. Also tracking showed item was damaged but when driver was challenged said ‘it was about the best on the van’. Luckily there was only minimal damage to the box & item inside was ok.
Got it delivered a couple of days ago, pretty happy overall.
The description says “running area of 120 x 42 cm(43″x 16.5″)”, though the length is actually 110cm (which IS 43″; there is another model they sell which has inches specified correct, but cms are wrong). That didn’t turn out important for me, but still.
The wheels for moving it around only touch the ground when it’s up 30 degrees or so, so hiding it under the sofa every day is not really an option.
The handle is pretty far away, so you can’t hold on it when in use. This makes a difference when trying to watch something which requires concentration at the same time. I found a workaround, but it makes it harder to use.
The instructions mention that it should be oiled by the manufacturer, but it wasn’t. They do provide 20ml of oil, there are instructions how to use it, though it didn’t spread itself as per the instructions (i.e. without load).
I know I only mentioned cons (or rather, nitpicks), but overall I’m pretty happy with my current setup so far. It feels sturdy and well manufactured.
Introduction
I’ve been wanting to get more active for awhile now. Whilst going out for a walk, jog or run is the cheapest solution, the combination of potential bad weather or having people stare at me is very off-putting (I’m sure I’m not the only who feels this way); that’s why I decided to get a treadmill for my home.
This treadmill does fold down; however, I would highly take note of measurements before purchase which I measured in at: 133cm x 58.3cm x 11.3cm. You may find that it will fit under a sofa if there is enough clearance, though if you don’t have somewhere it can slide under, you may want to just have an area where it can be permanently placed (it’s way too heavy to carry up and down the stairs for just one person).
Set-Up & Maintenance
I was pleasantly surprised at how simple the set-up is:
1) There is a level on the left-hand side, just press that down to release the latch and fold out the frame.
2) Plug in the power cable (socket is located on the front).
3) Flick the power switch to on (right next to the power socket).
4) Press start and adjust the speed to your requirements.
The treadmill is best suited for hard flooring but is fine to be on thin carpet also; if you have thick carpet, there is a risk of the belt rubbing against it.
For safety, there is an optional emergency stop clip which is held in place by a magnet; this MUST be attached for the treadmill to function, so do not lose it. You can clip it onto you, so should you get caught off-guard, when the clip pulls off it stop the treadmill within a second.
There is an option to attach a tray to rest your smartphone or tablet; great if you want to watch something whilst working out.
Over time, you will need to maintain the treadmill by adding lubricant (small silicone based lubricant included) and adjustment of belt position (Allen key also included), but this is standard with all treadmills; failing to do so could cause the belt and motor to wear out prematurely.
Results & Final Thoughts
The treadmill has a slight incline which is great as it will provide a better workout than if it were completely flat; in addition, there is a nice range of speeds to select (0.62 mph – 7.45 mph), so caters from having a walk to running.
Overall, I’m really pleased with what I got for the money; a professional treadmill is far beyond my budget but at least I can still get a decent amount of activity with this cheaper priced treadmill.
Pros:
* Ease of set-up.
* Good variety of speeds.
* Comfortable to use.
* Emergency stop feature.
* Fold down design.
Cons:
* No side-rails (does not impact score as it’s clear this treadmill does not come with them).
Our daughter really wanted a treadmill for christmas – she’s big into her football and being a midfielder in her team she needs to keep up her stamina and fitness, but going out running on a dark, wet and cold winter’s night can be hard work. We got her this to have in her bedroom so she can still run but without having to brave the elements to do so. This is just a flat treadmill with no incline option but that’s not something we needed for her (nor did we want the extra size, weight and cost that an incline would bring).
The first thing to mention is that the box it arrives in is big and heavy – you’ll need an additional pair of hands to help you with it. It said 40kg on the packaging and it certainly felt like that! The delivery guy we had was fantastic and insisted on helping me inside with it. The odd thing is that once it’s out of the box then it’s actually easier to move as there are wheels on the front .
Setup was really easy – I did it myself in 2 minutes, lift it out of the box, handle up and attach a couple of bits. As well as the controls on the LED display there’s also a seperate remote you can use. There’s a holder for a phone or tablet, which is ideal for my daughter who spends her time walking and running whilst watching videos. The treadmill can be used normally for running or under a desk – we haven’t tried the under desk mode as it’s not how she will use it but there’s another led screen on the base itself which is a nice touch if you’ll be doing that. The LED doesn’t just show speed either but also distance, time and calories. One thing to note is that in desk mode it’s limited to walking only, which makes perfect sense when you think about it! When running there’s a magnetic safety key system to shut it down it anything was to happen.
The biggest worry we had, having never used a treadmill before, was how the surface would be to walk/run on as we didn’t want anything too harsh – we are trying to simulate running on grass rather than a road. We were pleasantly surprised as the treadmill surface itself is nicely cushioned and there’s cushioned feet too – this makes it not too spongy and nothing as hard as we had feared it might be. The other potential issue we had was storage when not is use if my daughter has friend’s over, but it folds down to slot under her bed nicely.
We are really happy with this – it’s allowing my daughter to keep her fitness up even when it’s not the weather to be running. It’s really solid and well built and quite in operation too.
A truly fantastic product. It could not have been easier to set up, taking a matter of minutes, and only one person needed. The product is very easy to move and yet extremely sturdy. Very easy to get on and off, with a strong bar for holding on. There is an excellent control panel as well as the remote control with batteries included. There is even an iPad holder so you can watch Netflix while you’re running. We are keeping this under a sofa in the living room and it is very easy to get in and out. nothing negative to say, since I’ve been using it I am much more active at home. excellent product, would recommend to anyone. worth every penny
