This is a really good adapter and works really well. Since getting the new iphone, everything is USBC except for the plug for my car. I use this adapter to help charge my phone when traveling and it works.

This is a nifty little gadget which works to adapt a USB-C to a lightning connector. I’ve used it to charge via an otherwise incompatible charger, and to transfer data from one device to another. I have not tried it with headphones as yet so cannot vouch for compatibility there.
The cable is braided nylon which appears to be robust visually . When holding it in the hand it also feels like decent quality. According to the supplied spec it is also well tested for longevity.
At 5.99 it is a very affordable little gadget that will come in handy to give a longer lifespan to older peripherals ( by older I mean 3-4 years old!!) that still have lighting ports, while newer devices have USB-C ports. Should save a few pounds as I have no interest in replacing or binning otherwise working electronics just for the sake of built=in obsolescence. Yay, job done!

I ordered this Lightning to USB C Cable Adapter to use it on my Lightning cable as I usually carry it around with me but not a USB-C cable and there were times when I wished I had one. It converts a lightning cable to an USB C cable and is very useful. The braided nylon is strong yet flexible.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFirst and foremost, this adaptor works perfectly! It’s great if you want to use your existing cables and accessories that utilize apple’s lightening connector with the newer iPhones that use USB-C instead, hence saving you lots of money from having to buy new accessories and cables!

It’s also very well priced, especially considering the savings it will bring due to the above mentioned ability for it to let you use existing lightening connector cables and accessories without having to buy new ones for USB-C!

Additionally, I absolutely love the fact that it maintains the same styling as Apple’s own adapters, it even has the same kind of braided cable that the USB-C cables which come with new iPhones have! And it also makes the cable much stronger, so it’s not just for looks!

Only minor negative thing I have to say is that the packaging offered no protection to the adapter as far as physical force, it would have been better if it came in a box. And it seemed to have lint stuck to it straight out of the packaging. However, these are very minor and for the price I really can’t fault it, hence won’t be deducting any stars for this (it really isn’t a deal breaker!).

Additionally, you could even just leave it plugged into your accessories/cables, effectively “converting” them to USB-C and saving you from having “one extra thing” that you have to carry and could get potentially lost! Even if you want to use the same adapter across multiple different accessories/cables, I would recommend leaving it attached to one of them when not in use.

Overall, highly recommended! Has lots of positives! And the very few negatives are so minor you really can’t fault it at all considering the price!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works perfectly

I wanted this to charge my iPhone with lightning cable in my new usb power adapter. Works well. Easy and small enough to travel with.

I lent it to someone to use for their headphones and it is not compatible.

There have been a couple of occasions where I had to unplug and re plug the cable in, as didn’t work first time. It always works eventually, but concerns this could become more frequent.

Quite expensive compared to others I have seen on the market.

We have a lot of new Apple products in the home since Christmas and it’s become a little tricky to find the most suitable charging solution. We have two phones and AirPods that support MagSafe charging, the AirPods are also USB-C compatible but the phones are Lightning. Then there is a new iPad and Pencil with USB-C and numerous Android devices with USB-C and micro-USB. Thankfully USB-C is becoming commonplace, and this will become less confusing in the future, but for now I think the best (and cheapest) solution is to use a convenient little adapter like this one which enables us to use the many lightning charging cables around the home to charge USB-C devices.

I’m not so concerned with fast charging and don’t have any chargers above 30W so I can’t say whether this adapter is suitable, also I didn’t need to use this for data as most of the lightning cables have a Type-A USB connector at the other end and are easy to connect to laptops, but nice to know that (USB 2.0) data is also possible.

The quality of the adapter feels quite good, the short cable has a braided covering and nice flexibility and certainly doesn’t feel cheap.

In summary, a useful adapter, worth having a couple to prolong the life of all those lightning cables you’ve bought over the years.

I’ve been using this USB-C to Lightning Cable Adapter to connect my USB-C memory sticks, adapters, and common accessories to my phone. It works well for my needs, providing a slim and portable solution.

      Pros:

*Efficiently connects USB-C memory sticks and adapters.
      *Compatible with common accessories.
      Slim and portable design.

      Cons:

*Occasionally experiences failed connections, requiring a replug or phone restart.

In conclusion, this adapter is a handy solution for connecting various devices, though occasional connection issues may occur.

For such a small simple device its hard to go into very much detail. I needed this to convert a couple of devices that have Apple Lightning connectors to a USB C connector so that I could plug them into my smartphone. This does the job.

The connectors fit well but the cable seems to be a little flimsy in comparison to normal USB type cables but then I’m careful about such things anyway.

If you need a conversion cable from Lightning to USB C then this will suit you.

I ordered this cable to link my iPad to my MacBook but there are a long list of items which won’t work with this adapter. You also need a double ended lightning cable from your iPad for it to work, instead of the classic lightning cable adapter to USB-A.

It’s a useful small bit of kit for those with the right goods and cables. Check carefully before buying. It’s a good bit of kit with a strong-looking braided cable which won’t tangle but might not match all intended purposes.

4* — A fast connecting adapter but doesn’t suit all products and you’ll need a lightning-to-lightning cable to connect it to an iPad. To be honest, a lightning to USB-C cable might be more practical

This little cable allows you to use your old lightning cables with the newer USB-C standard.
It allows data transmission between your iPhone and a USB-C enabled laptop, as well as lightning charging.
The listing does say (in the last paragraph of the description) that it is not for a whole list of other lightning or USB functions, such as OTG (On The Go), audio, headphones, video transmission, mice, network cables, printers or cameras.
I did try a couple of these functions, and they didn’t work, but charging & data transmission did, so that is OK.
The listing photos are confusing as they seem to indicate it is compatible with headphones / music / & microphones. It isn’t.

4.0 out of 5 stars For Charging & Data Only

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’m a wee bit miffed by this cable and a big bit miffed with myself. You see, I didn’t read the listing thoroughly enough and ended up ordering something which was never going to be able to do what I hoped it would.

In my own defence the listing is misleading and the list of things the cable cannot support is so long I didn’t see the specific exclusion relating to my intended use. I wanted it to connect an external microphone with a lightning connector to a phone with a USB-C socket. I also had in mind to see if my old ear buds which aslo have a lightning connector would work. It’s here I blame the listing, in part at least.

I know the listing says in great, big, bold print “Not support headphones” but just below that it states – “Compatible devices – headphones” and “Specific uses for product – headphones”, (see screenshot image of the listing). I guess I didn’t see the warning in the title and just saw the information written below it. I think I also thought that if headphones were a recommended use then a microphone would be OK too. So mostly my fault but the listing could be clearer.

On the product itself, the cable is about 11cm long and looks well made. It is very much in the style of the cables provided by Apple with their white connector housings and braided sheathing. It all seems very well put together and the housings are even protected by a removable plastic film – just a nice indicator of attention to detail.

So, how do I rate a product under these circumstances? I think taking off 1 star for an unclear listing is all I can really do. If you are thinking of buying this item read the listing very carefully.

it is compact and works well. this combination of female lightning to male usb c is difficult to find other than at an apple store at a really inflated price

Given that Apple has changed the type of charger needed, this is a really useful little adapter which means the old style accessories and chargers can be used with the newer model phones. It’s really useful and very cheap – much cheaper than having to buy all new anyway. Works perfectly.

This is a useful little connector which enables an audio cable with a lightning connector to be connected to a USB-C port. I have a couple of uses for this – for example I occasionally use the wired earphones supplied with one of my old iPhones (after they stopped using 3.5mm jacks). This enables the same earphones to be used with both android phones and newer iPhones – plus i can use it on my iPad Pro too. I also have an audio cable which is useful for playing backing tracks into an amp or PA when performing – this also extends its use to USB-C audio sources.

It’s a chunky little thing with a very short braided cable. It does get slightly warm in use, when left plugged in, but only very slightly. This does the job well with no noticeable difference in sound quality. A good little cable.
