Taking this out of the box was just the motivation my two-year-old needed for heading to the bath. He was more than a little bit, excited about testing out his new ducky in the water. It’s ready to go straight out the box. No need to fiddler around with batteries.
The big duck floats well and plays music and lights up. The little duck is just an extra that could be used to pour water, but it doesn’t sit on the bigger ducks back, even though it looks like it should. The big ducks wings really look like they should flap or move, but if they do my two-year-old couldn’t figure out how to get this to work.
Overall, a pretty good bath and a lot bigger than anything else we had for my son to play with in the bath, it’s well-made as you would expect from a VTEC toy, And the music plays really helps to hold my sons attention.
The VTech Float & Splash Duck is a Bath Toy for 1 Year Olds plus and is essentially a Sensory Bathtub Toy featuring both Lights & Music.
It features over 50 plus noises which vary from sounds, phrases as well Melodie’s and songs. There is two ducks featured but the small one is a water pourer compared to the other which is the featured toy.
The ducks themselves are well made and it does work as an active distraction which both the lights and noises – which are particularly high pitched do go through the splashes and bath sounds.
