I picked up these clear orchid pots – you get 9 for 18.99, in 3 sizes, which isn’t too shabby. They’re sturdy enough and have trays to catch the water, which is handy. The holes are good for the roots, letting them breathe, so my orchids are doing alright in them. They’re easy to clean too, which saves a bit of hassle. With free delivery on Prime and a 30-day return option, it’s a fair deal if you’re looking to repot your plants without much fuss.

So impressed with these lovely pots, you get two of each size which is brilliant! Each with their own saucer. Lovely and sturdy, plastic so I can check on my plants roots without disturbing them. Not only that but the added holes give great airflow so I don’t have to worry hugely about root rot. Iv currently just got moss in while the monstera is rooting but then I will change over once the roots have grown. My only worry would be that roots will come through the holes but for now they are working well! I imagine orchids would love these pots (Iv had those in the past) so I’d definitely recommend them!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my monsteras

These are well-made and strong plastic pots. Each pot includes a saucer suitably sized for it, being slightly larger to hold any extra water.

The pots have holes to allow good air circulation in the roots of the plant, prevent overwatering, and support the health of orchids.

I just replanted my plants, so it is too early to say how well it is going to do, but it is a massive improvement from the standard plastic pots that most orchids are sold in. I like the way my orchids look in these practical pots and cannot wait for my orchids to start flowering again.

I ordered 5 of these pots and saucers set. It was very hard to separate them as it was very tightly packed and I thought they might crack, however, due to the thickness of the pots and saucers, they did not break.

These pots are of a surprisingly large size. The holes on the sides allows the soil to dry quicker and thus avoid root rot. Since orchids like chunkier soil, there is no worry that the soil will come out of the holes on the side as well. The saucer/plate will ensure that the water does not drain outside and mess the surroundings.

These pots can also be used for other house plants with a ceramic pot or other plastic decorative pots as a cover. The transparency of this pot makes it quite easy to check if the plants have become root bound or if there is any rot. Overall, I am quite impressed with the size and quality of the pot and saucer set.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI ordered a mixed size pack of these as I have, rather surprisingly, turned into a bit of an orchid collector. I have some in transparent glass bowls, and some younger ones in specialist orchid pots, such as this.

This set includes a good range of sizes which helps if you like to collect different types of orchids, or grown your own from cuttings.

I use this in conjunction with two key components and I find that my orchids always thrive:
I use reptile bark, specifically this one. Wash and drain first in cold water before using to remove all the little particles and ensure you have a nice clean medium which won’t dirty your container or saucer.
I use fresh sphagnum moss. Be careful! There are a few dodgy sellers that send you every moss under the moon apart from actual sphagnum. Do your homework and be certain you get the right moss by checking the leaf formation.

I mix the above two half and half. I find that’s the perfect medium for orchids. The larger bark keeps the medium light and airy, which imitates an orchids natural rainforest environment. The spaghnum keeps the humidity levels high as it has an amazing ability to hold onto water.
If you can, buy fresh spaghnum, not dead. That way, with regular feeding (with a good orchid fertiliser. This is what I use, and consistent watering, your medium (“soil”) will look exotically green and healthy, just like the orchid.

I love that these pots are designed especially for orchids. The holes allow the orchids delicate roots to breath and the saucer ensures the humid around your plant stays higher.

    Helpful tip:
Always place a 1-2cm layer of bark as the base in the pot to ensure the roots are protected from overwatering.

I hope you found this useful. 🙂

Despite making a note of the measurements of these pots and comparing them to my current ones, I was still surprised by the size of them when they arrived. They’re quite big.
I ordered the 17cm ones to re-pot my ever-growing orchids, and they are well made of fairly thick plastic and come with matching saucers.
You get 5 of each, pot and saucer, and the pots are clear with holes in.
I’ve re-potted two of my orchids into these now, and they are fine, my only niggle would be that due to the potting mixture I use the holes in the sides are a little big, and some of the finer material can slip through, but it’s not a massive issue, most of the mix stays inside.
Hopefully they will enable my plants to grow and thrive.
