Package included

1x 144W Universal Power Supply Adapter; 14x DC Tips; 1x Reverse Polarity Converter Cable

Attention: The power cord between power brick and DC plug will lead to 0.4V~0.6V voltage drop, so we designed the screen displayed voltage was 9.5V~36.5V. Only in this way can your device really get 9V~36V voltage. This is the reason why we advertise the power supply’s voltage range is 9V~36V, not 9.5V~36.5V.

Caution: The 17.cm short black power cord is a reverse polarity converter, not extension wire. It is used to reverse the original polarity of the power supply output port ( reverse the internal positive pole to negative, and the external negative pole to positive). Please confirm the polarity of your devices’ power port before use. If the positive and negative poles are reversed, it will cause short circuit and damage your device.

Instructions on how to choose a suitable adapter:

1. Check Voltage Please find the spec label of your device and check the working voltage. It should be among 9V~36V DC, not lower than 9V or higher than 36V DC. Otherwise, your device will not work or be damaged.

2. Check Current Check the max current your device will draw. It should be equal to or less than 4A, such as 500mA, 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A. Otherwise, your device won’t work well and the PS will be damaged very soon.

3. Check Plugs Check the power input port of your device. The PS is equipped with 14 pcs frequently-used DC tips. Please confirm wether it fits for your device before buy. If you can ‘t confirm, please measure it with a ruler.

4. Check Original PS If you have a original power supply for reference, their output voltage, plug size, polarity should be the same. If our PS’s current is equal to or higher than original one’s, then our PS will work with your device.

For the money this is a nice bit of kit that does what it says on the tin.
My only gripe is the output voltage set pot reaches 24v max at about 80% rotation, but that could be just my unit. The voltage output display is slightly non linear ( as measured against my fluke) but still within 0.2V at the 24v max setting, which not at all bad.
A word of caution. The unit output starts at 3v (3.2 in my case) not 0v. This is even written on the front of the case but I thought it worth mentioning.
Used for tests on 24v LED systems and I wished I had bought it earlier.

Excellent variable PSU, accurate display, with a good selection of adaptors.
However, the mains power lead is permanently attached and a bit on the short side, and given it’s only 2 x 0.5mm a flat profile cable, rather than the round profile cable provided, would make the cable less bulky, more flexible, and allow for easier, more compact storage.
A far better option would be to fit the unit with a C8 connector, a figure of 8 male connector, and supply a separate C7 power lead. That way if the lead gets damaged or is too short, it can be easily replaced by the user.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersAs a basic DC power supply, it works well. Huge range of supplied connectors, but no indication of size, so finding the right one is a bit hit & miss. Also, beware the multi pin connectors like USB – the power supply can be set for voltages way in excess of usual levels for these connectors, so could damage devices. Use of co-ax primary connectors is much better than the 2 pin type usually found on “universal” PSUs.
Biggest problem is the voltage setting arrangement. Useful that it is continuously variable, so you’re not forced to accept 5.3V when the selector is set to 5V, Also good that the adjustment is quite stiff, so it tends to stay put once set. Less good that the setting knob is quite large – I found it got moved when, for example, being packed for travel. The displayed voltage was reasonably close to what was actually delivered, but definitely worth checking what voltage has been set before plugging it in to anything.
