We have this pointing at our garage and it has given us peace of mind.
Good clear picture in all weathers, day and night.
The alarm is loud and will deter most people.
The Camera is useful for Daytime & Nighttime using built in Infrared Leds,
The SD card fits near the charging input, there’s a adjustable mount that is used to screw into the base of the camera & to suitable fixing screws fitting kit supplied, Solar Charging is provided via a included small solar panel fixing to the outside of the home, garage, shed etc
All fixings are adjustable for Tilt & side movement on a ball & cup type adjustment, there’s ample lead length for the Solar Pannel,
Only drawback is the recording time is short, its normally used as a disruptive field of view activation, you pay extra for other options like recording onto a server, I used a Simple SD Micro Card for my recordings
Boy was I wrong. The camera was surprisingly easy to install and the associated app was very user-friendly so the whole set-up was extremely smooth.
The general picture quality is surprisingly good, this is especially true for the nightvision. There is also a spotlight feature which you can activate at night which effectively turns night into day.
Unless you are plump for the subscription plan (which I didn’t) the motion sensor picks up everything in it’s field and the camera will automatically record a ten or 20 second clip (your choice) while sending you a motion sensor alert to your phone.
Now 20 seconds doesn’t sound like a lot, however if you want a longer clip of a particular event then you can access the live feed on your phone and manually start recording direct to your phone You can also take still images from the live feed which will also be stored on your phone.
This is all exactly what I needed and, so far has worked flawlessly.
For me the most impressive aspect is the solar panel which powers the camera. I had no high expectations or this but, again have been pleasently surprised at how well this works, even with some of the low cloud cover we’ve had since I installed the camera. After the first week the battery is still almost on full power which is pretty good.
All in all, I am very happy with this purchase and may well be picking up one or two more in the future.
Not only do they show live data and historical data they record in night vision which works a lot better than expected.
The mic installed into the cameras aren’t great but doubt it’ll be a feature I use so not fussed, over all decent camera for the price, very pleased.
