When I opened it up I was excited but then I started to plug it up usually the device is supposed to have some power in it this has none then I went to plug it in and the the ports moved badly and I couldn’t plug anything to it at all I’m not happy with it and I hope the replacement will be better. Somehow I managed to fix it myself and it’s working now it looks great but I’m still not happy I got a damaged screen from you all I see greet reviews and now I question who wrote them please in the future triple check your merch before it goes out thoroughly inspect your product so this doesn’t happen again other than that it works fine now that I tinkered with it. I was able to fix the ports myself the monitor is working great although I’m not taking the cords out the monitor because I know if I do that the component that holds them in will move again it works great otherwise though the sound is what I expected I hooked up my speaker to it and it’s great the visuals I get from it are perfec
Very happy with it so far. Very helpful for duel screen view when set up in offices, hotel rooms, etc.
Would be nice if it had a USB C on both edges instead of just the left side but it gets the job done. .
Comes in well packaged, all the cables including a mini-HDMI, 2 USB-C and a AC power block if you want to plug into the wall and the computer HDMI port, or you can plug in with a single USB C cable. I am on the road a lot, this is very handy and provides 2K plus 120Hz which gives a good picture. For the price and the performance, I am very happy.
I travel for work and having a second screen make working on the road so much easier. Easy to connect, keeps a charge, and simple to operate. Has great resolution and sound. Makes the perfect additional monitor.
1440p looks fine, 1080p is blurry, instructions say to add 4 screws to base but there’s only space for 3 , other than that it was a easy monitor to put together. Runs 120+ hz just fine as well.
I was a little leary about purchasing a “no name” monitor with these specs. In fact I fully expected I would be reutrning it shortly after receiving it, but I have been pleaseanlty surprised. A few caveats before the review, this is a sub $200 monitor and I will be will grading it based on that fact. This is not equivalent to a $500+ gaming monitor. The 5 star rating is primarily because it performs as good as or better than other monitors in it’s price range. I would challenge you to find another 27″ QHD, IPS, 165 Hz monitor at this price range. The picture is nice, the colors are decent, and the panel was flawless. I purchased this for a budget gaming rig for my oldest daughter and admittedly was trying to make it as “budget” as possible so she could still play Fortnite at a decent resolution and framrate. This monitor has been surpisingly up to the task. For the price, I dont think I could’ve aksed for more. However there are a few negatives, but nothing that would stop me from purchasing it again. It has built in speakers, which are pretty bad, the sound is hollow and distorted, this didn’t matter for our build as my daughter uses a gaming headset and I imagine most people interested in this monitor would as well. The build quality is just OK, everything is plastic except for the base/stand, which feels like it is made of cast iron, but regardless, it is heavy enough the monitor doesnt feel like it will tip over. The monitor doesn’t feel cheap, but no one will mistake it for premium either. The LED lights on the back cannot be controlled, they are the same rainbow colors all the time, would’ve been nice to adjust them. If you are on a tight budget and want a very decent quality monitor, this is a great option. It had a $25 off coupon when I purchased it and I feel like I got an exceptional bargain. Just remember to use your savings on a gaming headset.
I picked this up thinking I’d probably end up returning it as past USB monitors I’ve seen were terrible – this however is fantastic. The resolution is great, the same as the old 30″ Apple monitors at 2560×1600 – a size no one really makes anymore as they went to 1440p, but 1600p is much better as it gives you a much more useable 16:10 aspect ratio. Also the 16″ screen is a noticeable bump from my 15.6″ gaming laptop – and this screen looks much better than the 1080p 144hz screen my laptop has.
Anywho, the picture is very crisp, the colors looked great, the 120hz had everything running buttery smooth. I’m using this with an Asus Ally, and since this monitor has 2 USB C ports you can hook up one side to a power bank, the other to the handheld, and the power bank will power both as it passes through the power (assuming your power bank has enough wattage – I tested it with one that outputs 65w, and was seeing 60w charging).
The speakers are so-so, probably about the quality of a mid-to-low tier tablet. I already knew audio wasn’t going to be good, and these are acceptable for just watching a YouTube video or something. It does have a headphone output if you’re still living in the 90s and use wired headphones.
The only negative might be screen brightness if you wanted to use this in sunlight. Indoors, it looks great, you’ll have no issues with regular lighting conditions – and it gets plenty bright, so that in a darker room you’d likely want to turn down the brightness from the default setting. But in direct sunlight, I doubt this gets bright enough to be useable – which is the case with 95% of all PC monitors to be fair.
For the price, this is a great portable screen. For those like myself who last looked at portable screens years ago, these new ones are of much higher quality, it’s not even close. It’s not going to beat out my iPad Pro for screen quality, but it easily dominates my $2k gaming laptop from 2020.
