So why drop a star, one of the main competitors also come with a vent clip and is 5% cheape
I have a car phone holder which was not stable at all. I was keeping it together with a sticky tape This new car phone holder is very sturdy and great quality! I 100% recommend!
A basic car phone holder that can be mounted in several ways – via air vent (if it’s compatible with your cars vents) or on the dashboard or windshield Ising the suction cup.
The holder can be rotated 360 degrees so you will always be able to get a perfect view of your phone
The cord clip keeps the leads neat and tidy
Overall it’s a good, solid car phone holder that holds your phone securely and once in place doesn’t move. The only downside is it still needs a cable to charge and is a little expensive for these reasons I have given this 4 stars – if it was under 20 it would be 5/5
“Long Story Short”
It is one sturdy holder that will keep your device firmly in place
Easy to fit that on dash or windscreen
Solid arm so no squeaking or rattling noises while driving
Well made and designed holder
Mot much to say: well made
Value for money 10 out of 10
I got this with the intent of using it at home so my son isn’t always looking down at his phone. This mount is SUPER strong! This has been attached to my headboard for ages and it’s not budging. I almost ripped it out the wall testing the strength. I have no doubts this will surving a bumpy car ride. It is strong and well made. It definitely cannot be used with the phone case I had on my phone which is pretty rugged and phone can tend to slip a bit but OK without the case.

I have a car holder in my car, but it is showing signs of wear. So I got this.
This holder has the usual ball and screw clamp adjustment, a large suction plate which holds well, a nice long extending arm and a separate air vent clamp. Insert the phone and clamp tight. To release the phone, you push the button at the rear. All well and good. This is a strong phone holder that is versatile and likely to be a favourite. Unfortunately, the price puts it a little outside of what many would pay.
Good phone holder.
It can be used in two mode, with the long hand or just on the air vent. If the hand is stretched too long and the phone is higher, it will be shaky, however, with the same length, if the phone is below the dashboard horizon, it seemed fine.
I think it is expensive for its quality and without any WiFi charge and magnetic ability.
Though it has a quick release button but it is never as fast as magnet.
This phone holder’s unique feature is that its buttons are located on the back, unlike other phone holders where the buttons are on the sides. This may take some time to get used to, but once you are familiar with the button location, it becomes much easier to use. Additionally, its two fixing plates are angled inward to prevent the phone from falling, even when the vehicle is experiencing severe bumps. Overall, this holder appears well-designed and effectively holds the phone securely in place. The suction cup and air vent attachment options offer versatility in placement, and the adjustable width accommodates a variety of phone sizes. it will be a reliable and well-constructed product.
I’ve never has a car, until now that has had horizontal vents.
Usually I see car holders that hook onto the vents, but as I haven’t got vertical car vents, that design is useless to me.
I was worried that it wouldn’t stick properly but now I don’t know why I was worried!
It’s got a strong suction cup to the dash.
It’s not adhesive it is suction, so won’t leave residue or marks.
This car phone mount that I have been using for a few weeks now, and overall, I am pretty satisfied with it. This mount comes with a suction cup that allows you to install it on either your windshield or dashboard, or alternatively, it can be mounted on your air vent with a clip.
One of the things I like about this mount is that it has an adjustable arm, which allows you to position your phone at just the right angle for optimal visibility. There is also a convenient one-button release that expands the side holder, making it easy to insert or remove your phone with one hand.
However, one drawback I have noticed with this mount is that when the arm is extended too far, it can cause some shaking that makes your phone move up and down as you drive. This can be distracting and frustrating, so I recommend finding a position that allows you to keep the arm as short as possible to avoid this issue.
Overall, I think this car phone mount is a good choice for anyone looking for a versatile mounting option that can be easily adjusted to suit your needs. While the shaking issue can be a bit of a nuisance, it’s not a dealbreaker, and I have found that positioning the mount correctly can largely eliminate this problem.
YRU car phone mount is sturdy and adjustable, shockproof.
Perfect for attaching to the car vents or with the sucking cup.
Works with a variety of phones like iPhone 14 13 Pro Max, Samsung Universal Cellphones.
I like that is well made and easy to install. The button releasing the phone is silent and makes it easy to take your phone in and out.
The bottom arm is extendable too as well as the suction cup arm.
Nice touch to have a leather inside which will protect your phone’s back.
I definitely recommend.
This is a good quality phone holder that holds your phone securely in place and can be attached via sticky suction cup to both the windscreen or the dashboard.
Fully adjustable and extendable so you can view at any angle.
Does seem expensive at 29.99 at time of review
Great strong & robust mobile holder, hold your mobile on the windshield or from the vent with no issues. great little cable holder included so your not loosing them the side of the seats. Simple installing within minutes
YRU Upgraded Car Phone Mount
This car phone mount is made from sturdy and dependable materials. It is straightforward to use. It can either be mounted using the suction or the vent clip. Both mounting tools are effective in keeping the phone steady. I use this for my Pixel 6 pro, and it holds it well, even with a bulky cover. The phone holder has an easy-to-reach button at the back to release the sidebars that hold the phone. Then you’d simply snap the sidebars close to the phone to secure it. Overall quality is recommendable.
Great design with option to use either suction cup or clip to vent.
The plastics used are high quality mouldings and very sturdy.
I really like the way the button on the back opens the holder to accept the phone (see video).
A very good well designed phone holder.
The car mount arrived nicely boxed so good if it was for a gift. Removing everything out of the box the first thing of note is it’s not khaki to be that it has to be more dark green tones this is definitely beige! Not a huge deal I like beige too. The suction cup arm is of a good decent size and holds really well when placed on the dashboard if I want I can also choose to use the vent clip also provided so it’s nice to have the choice making the set a multi usable. A clip tidy is also included a nice way to hold the lead when not in use and it has a 2 lead hold so another can also be held. With this phone charger having tension sides and a area for my phone to sit on it gives the same good charge and look just like a MagSafe stick on side but I’m safe in the knowledge that when I go over bumps and pot holes my phone won’t drop and possibly get damaged as a result. A good solid well made product and the cost price is spot on for me.
In certain cars an extendable arm on a thing like this will be helpful but you also have to be a bit more vigilant because of this. Make sure to not wave your hands about all too vigorously.
We all want a stable and sturdy phone mount for our cars and traditional I’ve used vented mounts but always find they end up drooping especially over bumpy roads.
This kit gives you two options. Vented and dash / window mount. This particular vented clip actually clamps onto your vent by screwing it into place rather than a traditional push on one which always ends up falling off! It’s not as stable as the dash / window mount but if you don’t want to stick anything to your car then it’ll do a decent job. The dash / window mount is easy to install and holds firm. Try and get the arm positioned as best you can before sticking it to the car.
I do like the little wire holder that comes with this. You just need to find a suitable place to stick it to.
Whilst this is a decent kit I dropped a star for 2 reasons. I would prefer the screw to be on top of the dash / window arm because once it’s in place, when I needed to fiddle with it. I found it a little difficult to get my hand positioned behind the cradle. And speaking of the cradle I actually prefer to have the release buttons on the two sides rather than one on the back near the top. Again, I found hand positioning a little awkward for this when you’re behind the wheel.
This phone holder provides quite a bit more customization than other holders that I have used before and comes with handy add-ons.
The phone holder can be attached to a suction cup piece or a vent clip piece (both included). You have to click a button at the top for the arms to open, which will fit a large variety of phones. Also included is a cord management piece that has a nice satin/matte finish with a sticky back that you can attach anywhere.
The suction cup arm can be rotated various ways and also extends a decent amount.
The vent clip you have to unscrew to open and then screw closed, which is better than regular clips which may slide off due to phone weight.
All the materials seem very high quality and easy to put together, no complaints so far.
This is a really versatile holder. The suction mount secures well to my dashboard or windscreen, but I prefer vent mounts, so that’s what I’ve used and have featured with my video and images. The vent mount is very easy to use and holds the phone well. My car suspension is quite stiff, so there is some vibration movement, but that’s the same with all mounts in my car anyway – and this one does a better job holding my iPhone 13 Pro or 14 Pro than many others I’ve tried. The holder is reasonably easy to turn from vertical to horizontal and back as needed. It all feels well made and has a simple open / close action to place the phone in the holder.
Overall, this is a really good car phone mount that gives you 3 options to secure in place. 100% recommended.
The YRU phone can accommodate phones that are 2.4 inches – 4.6 inches wide and 4.0 inches – 7.0 inches high. This large range makes this phone holder suitable for many different mobile phones, with YRU claiming it is compatible with 99% of mobile phones.
The YRU phone holder can be mounted on the dashboard, windscreen or air vents so there are many ways you can mount this in your vehicle. The sucker mount has its own adhesive so once the holder is stuck on the dash or the screen it is there for the long haul. If you’re after a semi-permanent fixing this is the way to do it, although you can remove the sucker mount, wash it, dry it off and stick it elsewhere should you wish.
I wanted a phone holder I could install and un-install so the sucker mount isn’t for me. Instead, I ordered and use this phone holder on my air vents. Mounting the phone holder to an air vent isn’t as rock solid as using a sucker mount but it does a good enough job for driving on normal roads. It does jump around a bit on bumpy roads, but I don’t go down them that often so it’s not too bad.
The overall quality of this phone holder is superb. It is tough, it is durable, it is sturdy and it is also lightweight, which makes it ideal for mounting to my vehicle’s air vent. The holder is fully adjustable and with the ability to turn the phone in portrait or landscape orientation I can get it in the perfect position and then lock it down.
At 26.99 (at the time of review) the YRU phone holder is expensive compared to many other mobile phone holders, however it is worth digging deep and spending the extra.

This upgraded car phone mount has a quick-release button which is more convenient than other car phone mounts.
The release button works by pressing the two clamps on each side slightly to detach your phone easily. The inside clamps are made of silicone, so it bears collision even without a phone case. When it comes to its constructions, it uses PTFE materials that can withstand extreme environments with temperatures ranging from -40 to 203. Plus, it comes with a soft leather covering on the panel.
Furthermore, it has a holding capacity of 80 lbs along with its steel-covered vent clip, which provides more stability. Its clasp design would not just work for the car’s vent but also for the dashboard, windshield, desk, kitchen, and bathroom. Further with that, you can rotate it up to 360 together with its 270 pivoted telescopic arm to provide you with infinite angles.
You also don’t have to worry about the phone charger cable tangling up around your car and in other areas, since this comes with a cord clip. I find this very helpful in tidying up the mess in my car, plus I am not only having one but two cord clips.
The depth of the clamp arm is about 0.8, which I am very happy with since I use a heavy-duty and thick phone case. Good thing it fits perfectly. Also, I didn’t find it challenging to plug my charging cable since the space at the bottom tray, which is about 0.9 in, is good enough. Another thing I like about it is the adjustable length of the foot which allows me to place different series of iPhones with different sizes.
With all that said, I find this an excellent car phone mount. It provides me flexibility in its usability, and it is also reasonably priced at 28.99.
This phone mount works perfectly.
I live way out in the countryside so typically I mostly drive on country roads which are often full of holes, ditches, gravel and loose stones.
I have recently installed a glass dash plate in the car and the mount was solidly anchored when sited on that.
I have no doubt that my phone would have remained anchored if I had driven off road.
It can be easily installed to the windscreen or to the air vents.
It has one button which will release the arms. which is situated on the back and is easy to operate.
It can rotate and it can be easily positioned at any preferred angle.
The cable tidy is a great idea.
I own an iPhone 13 and have chosen a large heavy duty case and it held on to it easily.
Overall I’m happy with it.
I would definitely recommend it.
It is pricy but it is sturdy and well built and it does what it says on the tin.
I hope you found my review helpful.
Assembly of this item is relatively straight forward though there were only minimal instructions in the box.
The holder clamps to the vents using a simple thumbscrew or you can attach it to the dashboard or windscreen using the suction cup. I’d be sceptical about attaching it to a dashboard unless it had a smooth texture, any moulding or rough textures will reduce how effective the suction system is. Attaching it to the windscreen with the suction cup will work well.
The instructions tell you to clean the surface you are attaching the suction cup to. The cup has a plastic seal on it as it has a slight amount of adhesive on it, this will be good for the first fix so you’re best to get it right first time. I think that once it has been fixed this adhesive will be less effective second time around.
The overall build of the holder is sturdy and I think it will work well with most phones. There is a slider on the bottom to stop your phone slipping down through the bottom. There as also two adjustable arms to grip your phone at the sides, these release at the press of a button on the back of the holder’s body. They glide open nicely when released and when pushed together they grip the phone firmly.
The holder will accept most modern smartphones both width and height wise. The arm used to hold the phone is also adjustable in length so you can, within reason, position it where you need to in front of your dashboard.
As long as all the screw fittings and sliders are nipped up tightly then your phone will be firmly held in place and there is minimal vibration during travel. There is also a nice cable tidy to allow you to thread any wires so that they don’t interfere with operation of your dashboard controls.
Verdict: A sturdy piece of kit provided that you do everything right during assembly. I wouldn’t describe this holder as having any attractive design features but it does the job it’s made for well.
I think that a price of over 25 is probably going to put people off buying it as it doesn’t really off much that a phone holder 10 cheaper will give you.
