I use this cart for our everyday homeschooling supplies. It’s neutral enough to store in our living area and with the wheels I can roll it to our kitchen table when we do school. The size was perfect for our needs and it’s sturdy! Great value for the money. It was also pretty simple to put together by myself.
It was easy to assemble. All the part were in the box and fitted perfectly. I like the amazon basics range as they always seem to have what I want.
I was hesitant at first because I wasn’t sure I could put it together. But it was very easy. It is quite sturdy. It is perfect to be my coffee bar. I love that it has wheels in case I want to serve coffee in another room. I feel it was a good deal.
I needed this as had to find somewhere to put the contents of my larder whilst having a new kitchen fitted. I bought two. They are easy to put together and stable when made. I will use in the garage after they are no longer needed in the house as ideal for storing paint pots etc or garden packets/boxes/. Value for money.
It assembles reasonably easily (I am not over fond of instructions without words) and seems sturdy enough. The lip on each shelf is good enough and there’s enough space between them to be useful without making the whole thing too high.
If you want a simple but useful trolley then this will easily do the trick
This arrived as a flat pack. The packaging was good and protective, polystyrene and plastic bags with foam protection around the strut ends.
For assembly, all you will need is a large screwdriver (Philips or flat head). The instructions are pictographic using letters to define each part. Construction is simple. I used a kitchen chair placing one side flat on the seat and then attaching the struts to join the sides on the first side only. For the back of the cart, there are 6 struts, for the front there are 3. Having attached the 9 struts to one side, loosely hand tightening the provided screws, place the other side on top of the struts and line up the screws. Screw in gently, only tightening all the screws once you have secured each one in the right location.
Place the cart upside down on the floor to attach the rolling feet either with the supplied 13 mm spanner or your own. I used my own because it has a good handle and is easier to use. When all is tight and secure, turn the cart onto the rollers. Slide the metal shelves with the box side down onto each level. The additional struts at the back should be above the shelves, lined up with the pre-fixed side struts to prevent stuff falling off. The entire process took perhaps 10 minutes or so.
We are now using this for a barbecue trolley but it may be appropriated for the greenhouse in the future. I see no reason why it cannot also have use in the garage, a shed, a workshop or even the kitchen (if you like black in the kitchen). It is easy wipe-clean although I think I shall cover it when not in use, or put it in the shed.
There was an extra bolt but better too many than too few.
The shelves just pop onto the horizontal rods without needing yo be screwed or clipped. This means if you wanted, as they don’t form part of the structure, that one or two can be removed if you so wishes for taller items. This flexibility is not common among trolleys and set it higher.
There was one issue which was a dent at the far corner of one shelf for which a star is lost, but if future reviews find none then it should average out.
The movement is good and ensure you put the brakes on the same side according to instructions.
So brakes too!
With not knowing the size of these shelves I was rather apprehensive on trying them out, however, they are just perfect for my needs of using them to store kitchen appliances that I can’t fit in the kitchen.
They were very easy to set up using a screwdriver and tool provided to install the wheels. The metal is shiny, the shelving unit is sturdy and it looks lovely. It would grace any home and I am extremely happy with the overall appearance.
