Fit and breathability are amply handled via our Ventilated DH Air padding and removable cheek pads. We spec’d the helmet with 14 vents to prioritize ventilation, regardless of where the helmet is being ridden. Finally, the Sanction 2 features both ASTM Downhill and BMX certifications. We did all of this with you, the privateer, in mind. We imagined the Sanction 2 to be the go-to helmet for shredders from 5 to 75. This helmet was born rowdy and will never look back.

I’ve been a Bell helmet fan since my minibike days and through to my continuing motorcycle days. For my entire adult life, the Large Bell helmets have fit me perfectly. I even measured my head for this one to make sure. The Large barely fit on my head—instant eye-popping headache. There is no way to adjust the size like with my other Bell helmets. The DLX version of this is on sale for a similar price, so I’ll replace this with an XL DLX.
Otherwise, it is a high-quality helmet for a reasonable price.
The helmet is snug around the cheeks and neck, but I got used to it after a few trips. The helmet is solid and the ventilation provides maximum airflow. I trust this helmet for my daily commute.
Awkward sizing for my son, 8, as his head measure was literally on the border of sizes. Went for the size up, and whilst there is ample room for growth, the helmet still fits very snugly. Overall very happy, even if it was quite an investment.
Solid construction with above average padding. Not having MIPS is the cost savings but don’t let that deter you. The materials are great, light weight and good looks. Last helmet was Giro Remedy which this is on par with.
