I needed some new headphones to use for work. These headphones are mainly used for making calls and for that they do the job perfectly.
Sound quality is good and they have lots of Betron different adaptors, to make sure they fit snuggly.
When purchasing there’s lots of Betron options and seemingly they’re all very similar but some have the mic for making calls and some don’t, so it’s worth double checking before you buy.
I’m very pleased with mine and think they’re excellent value for money
I’ve used way too many earphones in the past, ones where issues like one ear stops working, sound quality is bad, sound becomes distorted. They’ve all had their share of dissappointing me.
Granted I should take some responsibility, as soon as I come home I unplug my earphones and dump them on my table, that may be a contributor to the barrage of issues I get. However as the saying goes, you get what you pay for, and the headphones that have failed me have typically been under 15
Generally you want products you can trust, for example I had the same issues with USB cables being the same, I figured, am I just this careless with items? Then I bought an amazon basics branded USB cable and it never happened again. This is what you look for in all accessories, an item that will last the test of time, and not get broken if you throw it on your bed or table when you are done. You want to know that if the cable bends even slightly (as headphones do) it won’t cease to work in a month.
Betron never did that for me, my first pair lasted 5 months, the volume control broke and so I stopped using it but the earphones themselves never faltered. Was the volume control my fault? Perhaps; my theory is that the gym bar may have caused pressure on it, for that reason I have to be aware of where the volume control is to avoid that and can only wait.
Onto sound quality: I listen to Pop/Hip Hop mainly on my phone and these do it for me, music creates an awesome amount of energy and these immerse you in it, they come with different sized and shaped earbuds for different preferences and ears, when I put them on the world dissappears and it is just me and music, so that’s a great job done.
Note these earphones are primarily for mobile phones, I would not recommend them for PC or Laptops, I would go for headphones!
Style: These are red and black, which to me are my favourite combination of colours, they look cool and the build quality looks solid, you aren’t scared that u could snap these with your fingers that’s for sure.
Presentation: Earphones can be kept safely in an earphone bag, although I don’t personally use it. Hassle free packaging, and a small plastic bag with all the other earbuds.
Value: For the price I honestly cannot fault it, if you’re into PC gaming I would compare these to plantronics.
I’m going to give this 4 stars and the main reason for that is that these are my second pair, I will use them more carefully and see how they stand the test of time and if they do it’s a solid 5 stars from me.
Dear Betron Company,
I often feel guilty for not leaving any reviews on anything i buy, but that’s just because i am a little bit lazy. But today, after receiving your e-mail, i felt that this is the one i write.
I’m using your headphones for already two years. My first ones were Betron RK300. Really tiny miny headphones with great sound isolation, making my ears listen music and only music. Durable, loud, full of bass and quality clear sound. Unfortunately, i broke them myself accidentally after two-three months.
So next ones were Betron YSM1000. Oh boy, that was a discovery. Big, awesome plugs that kinda look like bullet steel jacket, golden wire in transparent coating (really strong and unbreakable), sound was even better then the previous ones. It was absolutely impossible to accidentally tie a knot carrying them around mixed up in your pocket. They passed away, when I, rushing into workplace, grapped a door handle with a wire and ripped both speakers outta the wire. Sadness wasnt even close to be appropriate word for this situation.
And then i found Betron DC950. This motherf***er just fits right in, Coral. You can listen to DnB, melodic death-metal, hardcore rock and etc without a doubt on the highest level of quality sound. Solid thin, wide red and black wire makes them look like nothing else, you barely HEAR your heartbeat whilst with them in your ears, and volume? Please, these are number one. I always have problems with volume as i always want to hear as loud as poss but even i need to lower the volume a little bit.
I found this product absolutely accidentally browsing and looking for plug-in headphones, and this is a good dig. Cheap, quality earphones with quick delivery service, compact and stylish accesories such as a carrier bag, clips and detacheable speaker heads, sound isolation – what else do you need, people? I wish Betron my best and i wait inpatience for new products.
At the time of posting, these headphones are under 20. At that price, these headphones are a no brainer. The large neodymium drivers have plenty of bass, and volume, the volume slider works adequetly (Though can be a little sensitve at times), and the remote button works correctly (depending on application suport).
The claim that the cable is untangleable, is perhaps a tiny bit exagerated, I have managed to tangle it. However, that was with some determined shoving in pockets, and generally it was far easier to untangle than traditional cables.
There is an unusual feature, where the earbuds can be detached from the cable. The fit is quite solid despite this, so there is no worry of them falling off. I assume that this feature would be very useful if a single earbud failed (as they have on many pairs of other companies headphones that I have purchased in the past (JVC was particularly bad for this)) or if the cable was damaged and the earbuds were fine, and replacement bits were able to be procured.
My one grumble would be that the bud tips are rubber, which can get uncomfortable for some people, i just find that they come out easily with a bit of weight under them, and aren’t the nicest feeling. Foam buds would suit it better in my opinion, but you can pick these up for a decent price. Another thing, where the cable splits to the earphones, those lengths of wire are the same length. this isn’t a huge biggy, but i would prefer the side with the inline mic/controls to be long, then the left side be a bit shorter, so they go around the back of the neck. this means you can dangle them round your neck or they can fall out and its no issue. I actually found the buds to actually be the wrong way round. the left was on the right, and the right was on the left. this does nothing to affect sound, unless you are using surround sound in non music cases, like a game with footsteps or something.
Overall, brilliant product, at a brilliant price.
The earbuds are pretty solid, with a metal casing. The three different sizes of earbud thingy is very nice, ensuring a good fit (I’m using the ones that were on it to start with)
Possibly the best earphones I could get at this price. Going any higher would be foolish as I don’t even think you’ll gain much improvement. (update below)
Pros:
– Better sounding that my old skullcandy Inkd, deeper bass, clearer highs.
– You used to not be able to get a mic+volume+play/pause control included with your earphones at around this price range, I’m glad that is no longer the case.
– Better noise isolation. Mostly because of the ear tips and not because of the earphones themselves.
– Metal build around on the earbuds which looks very stylish.
– tangle free cable
– L jack ensures a longer lasting cable. My previous earphones broke because of continous stress on the straight input cable.
– AMAZING price
Cons:
– Due to the metal build on the earbuds, they are a little bit heavy in comparison to my skullcandy ink’d. I’d say maybe 20-30% heavier. But honestly, I only say it’s heavy because I’ve always been used to the plasticy, light ones. They’re still pretty light.
– The earbuds are bigger and longer, so they stick out a little bit from your ear.(just being nitpicky, trying to find cons)
Conclusion:
Premium quality, with great audio, and offers convenience with the inclusion of mic, volume control, and play/pause,stylish design, great build quality, all for a really cheap price? Just buy it.
Update: So after a few months I’ve finally encountered my first real Con with these earbuds. An earbud has detached itself from the rest of its body(not from the cable, obviously that’s removable). Then it happened to the second earbud. BUT they still work. You can easily replace them back to their body and they’ll work just fine. I could just superglue them to their body and they’ll still work perfectly fine but I’m lazy. Overall, still happy with these and I wouldn’t hesitate buying another pair as the eventual problem is easily fixed with an in-home solution.
