I purchased these for my husband because he works outside during the winter. He loves them. He was working outside during freezing temperatures for several days and these hand warmers were perfect to ensure his hands didn’t get too cold. They stayed charged all day and he was able to charge them over night and have them ready for the next day.
Item arrived in timely fashion and as described. As a lacrosse coach on the field in early spring, these worked like a gem. Battery life last multiple days and are extremely warm!!
Heat is binary so lower setting pulse the heat on and off. Surprised by just how well these work. Did not expect charge to last as long as it does, or for the pebbles to get as hot as they do.
I very, very seldom give 5-star reviews.
These hand warmers, however, deserve one. They are the right size, they hold their charge for hours, they are easy to use, they warm my hands effectively and they have survived being dropped onto the hard pavement at least twice in the fortnight I have had them.
I like this so far. I’ve had these for a little over a month now. I use these while commuting to and from work (~30 min one way) and it has helped me keep my hands warm in the winter. So far, the temperatures have gone down to -10 degrees celcius and I’ve found it useful to use these along with my gloves (just the gloves don’t feel enough). I tend to use the Level 1 and Level 2 warmth (the Level 3 warmth gets hot really quick and I can’t hold that directly in my hands for too long). I typically fully charge them every few days and only use them while commuting, so I haven’t paid close attention to their battery life yet. Will update this as required.
Heats up super fast, in seconds. Level 1 is plenty of heat, level 2 is almost too hot, so I’m happy to have the extra heat if needed. Doesn’t run for 20 hours though. Each one will run for about 8 hours on the lowest setting (level 1). I use these to hike and keep my hands warm. Just hiked in 9F (-20F with wind chill) and my hands were toasty all day, even if I took my hands out of my mittens almost until I couldn’t feel them, they warmed back up quick with these in my mittens and they lasted the whole hike (4-5 hours) after being used for a 3 hour hike the weekend before. I did test them at home and they die around 8 hours on low. For the price, even though they don’t last the advertised 20 hours, they last long enough for a day hike. That’s why I put 4 stars, due to the battery not lasting the advertised time. I’m still very happy with the purchase and more than happy with the heat output. I also like not having to waste the one time use hand warmers and being able to turns these off once my hands warm up (usually within 10-15min) to conserve battery as needed. Side note, I also have Reynauds so my hands get very cold very easy and I do use very thick mittens (Outdoor Research Alti II, meant for 8,000m peaks) and paired with these hand warmers, I no longer worry about being able to keep my hands warm or warm them back if I take my hands out.
If you have Raynauds, then these warmers are for you. I tried several versions of hand warmers and these were the best. If you live in a cold climate, then tuck them into your pocket to warm icy fingers. They charge with a USB so you can charge them in your car.
These little handwarmers pack a big punch. I only need heat setting number one as theyre a bit too hot for me on three and they heat up in seconds.
Perfect size to hold in your hand . heats both the palm and the fingers. DH has no circulation in his hands. cold all the time. these help. uses them to help keep his fingers flexible and touch sensitive so he can do small projects without losing control of his fingers.
I’m a small business owner (oliviatokunbo d o t c o m) that does pop up shops around the DMV, and as the temps started to drop I found myself freezing at my table at outside markets!
These are SO good, and so worth it. I love the way they look, and the battery life is incredible. Right out of the box, I’ve used them three times and they are still going with no charge. I haven’t used them beyond the first setting because they get pretty hot.
I also love that you have to hold them to turn them on and off so they don’t accidentally turn on in my bag. They snap together when not in use. I’ve even used them on my stomach for abdominal cramps during my cycle. Absolute gems, I’m telling everyone about them.
These are a great size to fit in the finger part of my mittens. My fingers get ridiculously cold in winter and it’s made worse by the fact that I use walking poles, so I can’t put my hands in my pockets when I walk outside. Last winter I used those reusable hand warmers where you recharge them each time in boiling water. It was a huge pain and by about 40 min they had lost all their warmth.
These rechargeable hand warmers have a long battery life, especially since I use them on the lowest setting. As you can see from the pictures, they are just as long as my fingers (I wear size medium gloves) and they fit perfectly in the finger part of my mittens. I still have two bars of charge left in each and I’ve used them for 3 hours already.
This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.
I found the hand warmers easy to set up and use. I like the fact that you can either use them as separate units, or clip them together to hold as one piece – the clipping mechanism works well.
They are solid pieces, without being too heavy. It was a comfortable experience holding them. The compactness means that they would fit into a pocket or a bag.
The heating element works quickly, and can get really hot at the highest setting, so care should be taken with this (there are of course lower temperature settings).
Recharging the devices are straightforward with the included cable, and as they’re USB-C compatible, you could use any suitable adapter to charge them.
Overall, a good value set.
I have been buying handwarmers for years. I spend a lot of time outdoors in cold weather and handwarmers have become a necessity for being comfortable. I bought these because they are so much smaller than handwarmers. I have had in the past which take up my entire pocket at first I had concerns that they wouldn’t put off as much heat for as long as the larger versions but I was wrong! Plenty of heat in a small package. I don’t know how long they will last but for now they’re the best I have found.
I was surprised at how small these handwarmers are. I have included a 50p in the pictures to provide some idea of scale. I have a couple of other sets of handwarmers – I do suffer from very cold hands in the winter months, even wearing gloves, and having more than one set means I always have a backup without having to wait for a charge.
The handwarmers came with a nearly full charge, but as with most electrical items, they always suggest charging to full capacity before first use, which is what I did. The charging cable is USB (no plug included), but has a dual connector so you can charge both at the same time, which is a nice touch.
The handwarmers slide/click together and seem to stay put, once joined. Because of their compact size, they are fairly lightweight and easy to carry in a pocket to pockets. There is no carry pouch for them, which would have been nice, so they might get a bit scratched if you put them in a bag with other bits and bobs jiggling round.
They have just one button to switch them on (long press) and then the same button is used to cycle through the 3 heat settings. Each unit has 3 small lights – when cycling through the heat settings, 1 light = low heat, 2 = medium and 3 = high. When you switch them on they heat up rapidly and seem to maintain an even heat. I would recommend you only use the high setting with gloves, as I found them a bit uncomfortable to hold just in my hands. To be honest though, even for a long stretch holding them (without gloves) on the low setting I found them a little too hot, so just a word of caution.
They keep a good charge and when left on the middle setting, they lasted about 8-9 hours, which is more than enough for a few dog walks. To check the charge you just double-click the button and the three lights will become a battery indicator.
I think they are a bit pricey though at 35.99, which drops my rating a bit, but if you have the money, you won’t be disappointed with your purchase.
