Have worn Canterburys for many years and always been a large. Ordered this pair and the large size is too long for me (I haven’t reached the age of shrinking just yet).
The discrepancy in length is a bit of a nuisance but otherwise they are as comfortable as usual and quality remains the same.
Function:
The Canterbury pants are a solid wardrobe stable for lazy mornings and lounging around the house. They are also durable and are great for taking a walk outside in the brisk autumn air.
Fit:
I am actually a woman and purchased the mens because the women’s size is not long enough. They are the perfect length (5’6″). Due to the man cut it fits loosely, but not too loose that it bothers me.
Style:
I love the fun patterns on inside. The colors are cheerful.
Overall:
I am glad I purchased these pants and really enjoy them! They have 4/5 stars because the women’s is not long enough and the men’s is a bit baggier than I would like them to be.
As a retired senior man, finding straight-legged tracksuit bottoms with an open hem and not tapered (I don’t have fashionable legs that they would complement), I was delighted to find this item. I have now bought four pairs, two black and two navy. Great product, no faults, and well worth the price. Sports Direct, please take note!
More than happy with the quality and fit of theses pants – I’m tall 6′ 7″ / 120 KG – with 40 inch waist and the size (3 XL) are a perfect fit.
Great fabric and zips with deep pockets.
Worth the money – I’ve just ordered 2 more
Got these to stay warm before and after parkrun in winter. Really good to slip in and off. I thought the zip might run all the way to the top but stops about 9″ short. Still easy to get on and off with running shoes but lining gets a bit dirty
These are really nice trousers. Lovely design, and they look stylish. I thoroughly recommend them.
However, be careful with the fit. I bought these in anticipation of returning to my normal 32-inch waist, but I’m at 34 inches at the moment and medium feels a bit too big. I was expecting it to be a bit snug but I could have worn this at a 36 inch waist. They’re meant to be worn over shorts, but even then there’s a lot of room. Small might be a better option if you’re looking for a slimmer fit, like the model in the picture.
I’m 6’5 in trainers, and would say they are just slightly (1cm) too long for size L if running on muddy ground. Also, when lifting knee up high, i can feel the inner leg zip catching on the leg.
Otherwise well made, and soft inner lining.
They are very comfortable and keep you at a nice temperature there are zips up the leg and Velcro at the the bottom so you can self ajust quite well only complaint is went bear foot standing on the bottom of the zip can hurt a little bit but that is cause I got a slightly to big of a pair when wearing shoes they are perfec
I’ve just had knee surgery and have to wear a bulky brace 24/7. The full length side zips make getting these on and off over the brace a breeze and allow easy access to it. Also the lining is comfortable for sitting over long periods. Looking at the complexity of making them and the materials used, decent zips for example, I think they’re good value.
They’re smart, well assembled and look as if they’ll last.
Comfortable and zips are just the right length. My only issue is was with the plastic drawstring end (aglet) fell off after the first wash. I’ve tied a knot in the cord to stop it fraying, which is will do very quickly.
I’ve been using Canterbury joggers for years and this pair is great. They are comfortable and durable. The legs zips are much better positioned and stitched than in similar older joggers – for extra comfortable.
I used to love Canterbury stadium trousers. However, this pair let me down. Considering the sports brand is renowned as a rugby brand. You’d imagine there would be more space in the hip/thigh region. I’m 42inch waist with a prop body and went of the sizing matrix so I got a 2xl. I was quite disappointed that they were as snug as they were. Like they fit they are actually baggy on the waist, but I cannot use the pockets and crouching may prove risky. So I would advise anyone with larger thighs to order a size up.
So this has become a part of a growing list of trousers I promise myself I’ll lose weight to fit.
FIT — Being 6’7″ and around 235lbs in weight, I initially ummed and ahhed about buying a pair, as I thought the leg length would be too short (35″ for me), but lo and behold the X-Large pair I purchased were not only long enough, but the relaxed fit around my legs makes them easy to put on and comfortable to wear, so all things said and done, I would consider buying another pair.
PRICE — On that note, the current (Jan 2020) discounted price of 33.10 is 28% more expensive than just last month (Dec 2019 – 25.79). That’s some margin for inflation!
CRITICISM — If I have a quibble, it is that the waist-band and drawstring could do with being more elasticated and the drawstring cord is just too grippy, in that when you pull the bow to untie the shoelace style knot of the waste-band cord, the remaining half-hitch does not loosen due to the friction of the cord, as such I keep having to unpick the half-hitch to get the waist band to loosen enough to remove the trousers, This could be resolved with the use of a drawstring made of material with less grip.
I. Looked on the high Street for these but couldn’t find them, they are really comfy and fits well, very happy with them and would advise people if they want a great pair of track bottom then these are the ones!

This come up a bit narrow/tight around the thighs compared to most trousers of the same size, so had to return and go up a size.
But they make for decent running bottoms.

Canterbury CCC Uglies Open Hem Stadium Pant, Tracksuit Bottom, Two-Part Lining & Full-Length Side Zip, Tailored Fit.
Just a warning – I got these today size XL and they are certainly NOT a Tailored fit – Very wide all the way down.
