Wish I’d known sooner that deionised water is the perfect window cleaner. Finally a product that is completely smear free and without any nasty chemicals. This will now be my favourite all round cleaner.
Deionised water, which I use for my steam iron, I’ve had my iron for about 8 years could be more. This water stops scaling in iron giving your iron a longer life. Great for those car batteries that need topping up, although not so many batteries need topping up on cars now. Do yourself a favour if you have a steam iron, steam generator use deionised water to lengthen the life.
I only use this water in my iron and it has lasted years. Absolutely does what it says on the tin. There has been no limescale build up in my iron which has meant it has stayed in top top conditio
I must admit I do rather resent paying over 8 for demineralised water (do have a water filter but didn’t want to take any risks with my garment steamer getting clogged up with minerals). Obviously its a 5L container so I use a jug and funnel to put the water into the steamer (at this price I am not losing a drop). Its not a reflection on the water but I find the garment steamer does get through quite a bit of water, so will have to find a more economical way of supplying it with water.
But it does work and no sign of minerals in the steamer.
I recently purchased this 2.5L container of deionized water for a variety of uses around my home and workshop, and I am extremely satisfied with the quality and performance of the product.
Purity and Consistency:
The deionized water I received is of high purity, which is crucial for my needs. I have used it for various applications, such as cleaning sensitive electronics, mixing with automotive fluids, and even in my aquarium. In each case, the water has performed flawlessly, with no signs of contamination or impurities.
Packaging and Convenience:
The 2.5L container is sturdy and well-designed, making it easy to handle and pour the water without any spills or leaks. The cap seals tightly, ensuring the water remains clean and uncontaminated during storage. The size of the container is also convenient, as it is large enough to last for multiple uses but not too bulky to store or transport.
Value for Money:
Considering the quality and performance of the deionized water, I believe the price is quite reasonable. The 2.5L quantity provides excellent value for money, especially when compared to smaller containers or individually packaged bottles.
Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase of this 2.5L container of deionized water. The high-quality water, sturdy packaging, and great value make it an excellent choice for anyone in need of deionized water for a variety of applications. I will definitely continue to purchase this product and recommend it to others.
This is excellent value and something that is increasingly becoming difficult to find in physical retailers, even ones that supposedly stock it. I bought it because I have started making my own cosmetics at home where it is imperative to use absolutely pure water (aqua) to avoid bacteria and mould. The only reason I have taken a star off is the underside of the lid cap was filthy – which is less than ideal and made me wonder how it has been stored. Luckily the water is sealed with a foil cap underthis, so the contents was unaffected however if one didn’t look and put the cap back on after using (easily done) this would have contaminated your water and ruined the whole bottle. I removed the paper insert that was dirty under the cap, rinsed the cap in warm soapy water and dried it thoroughly before replacing but you shouldn’t have to do this with a brand new unopened product.
Edit: Having read other reviews checked the date of mine and realised mine is out of date too! Revised my rating – it’s water and sealed so should be fine but still not acceptable.
Edit 2: So the date on the container is actually the production date not an expiry date – tbh this should be marked clearly on the label, as I like most people as others have mentioned without a clarification seeing a date printed like that would assume it is an expiry one.
