This body does the job well. It is indeed for itch & eczema prone skin. I’ve been using this bodywash for the past few weeks and I definitely notice that i’m scratching less and less and now its all gone. I’m just very pleased and happy i found this body wash.
Such a shame this is fragrance free. Although it says there’s shea butter but there is no single smell of shea butter. AMAZING! I still prefer bodywash with perfume but since it helped with my itchy skin i don’t mind using this! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
Hope my review was helpful
I’ve been using this for over a week and found my skin less itchy. I suffer from eczema and thought of giving it a try. I saw good reviews of this product so that’s why I bought it. Perfect for eczema/sensitive skin.
Whilst this is a great product. Foams well and leaves my skin feeling less dry. No irritation (as of yet), I was sent a used product. The top had abit leaking out and when I put the bottle up to the sun you can clearly see it’s not full as it’s been used, or just emptied by the seller (but I’m not sure why they’d do that). Please don’t send out used products to paying customers, this costs too much to be sent like this. Will buy again but elsewhere.
I was advised by my doctor to buy thus as she said it’s the best product on the market for sensitive skin. It’s very gentle and I’m going to buy their moisturiser next.
Use the Cetaphil hand wash so thought I’d try this. A great product that foams well and is good for acne prone skin & sensitivity. GP suggested this brand. Highly recommend.
I use Cetaphil Body Cream (the tub) already and I was expecting the “Pro” body wash to be pretty similar. There are some similarities, such as the extremely mild barely-there smell and the generic vanilla creamy colour- but a few differences too.
This body wash ends up behaving far more like a suncream than a moisturiser. It leaves skin feeling somewhat sticky and rubbery, definitely treated rather than natural, so definitely more aimed at making your skin feel protected than healthy. It’s like wearing an extra barrier against dryness.
It’s amazing how far a tiny amount of this cream will go. A pea-sized amount (albeit maybe a marrowfat pea) lathers a massive amount and is enough to cover a whole arm. There’s a huge white residue at first which, unless you’re applying it while showering, looks like it’s never going to rub in, but eventually it does so that it’s not visible, though you can certainly still feel it.
Luckily I don’t have too much sensitive skin, but on sensitive skin I think some people may find this a bit hit-and-miss- it will certainly benefit some, but others may find that the artificial, rubbery, suncream-like residue is almost as distracting and scratchable as the dry skin it was meant to be healing. I’m speculating there though, as it doesn’t seem to have that effect on me.
Personally I prefer the feel of the Body Cream version of Cetaphil over this, it’s more versatile and has less residue but feels just as effective. This is certainly a quality cream though, and if you are having skin issues, it’s definitely worth a try.
