Very good litter box with optional snap-on higher sides. The high sides do a great job keeping the mess contained. Be aware, though, that it doesn’t snap-on strongly enough to be moved by grabbing the high sides – any moving needs to be initiated from the sturdy lower portion of the box. The included scoop was a nice bonus. It’s not the best quality scoop, but works fine and allows this to be a comprehensive purchase. I’m happy with the set and it’s working great for my 2 kittens.

This has absolutely changed our lives. Managing the cat boxes of 5 indoor rescue cats was just getting ridiculous. The cost of litter alone made me consider getting one of these and I am so glad we did. It’s saving a fortune on litter, it’s easy to clean, much reduced smell, and I love the information it gives us. I heartily recommend this cat box!

This really is an excellent product and now I have it I wouldn’t be able to live without it. I didn’t appreciate until I used it how important a video camera would be on a self-cleaning cat litter tray as not all trays have a video camera. The camera means that I can view that the tray is clean, I can easily check the litter level, and at the start when my cats first started using it it was really useful to watch them exploring it. I look at the video several times a day as its fascinating watching it cleaning the feces away. Now it’s probably my Internet signal but my Tuya app did say on a couple of occasions that the device was ‘offline’. This didn’t stop the tray working but it stopped me accessing the app. Easily sorted by unplugging and plugging back in however, I found a simple solution was to just plug it into a smart plug and that way I could switch the plug socket on and off from my phone which is handy if you are not at home. It’s fantastic that my fussy posh siamese pair of cats can go into a clean litter tray every time. Now they are used to it they love it. I’ve set mine up in a spare ensuite bathroom that I don’t use but it is quite sizey but would be great in an under stairs cupboard or something like that. I was using a sifting cat tray before with wood cat litter so first I had to get my cats used to clumping cat litter in their usual tray for about a week at first as they were scared of a different type of cat litter, then after about a week when they were used to the litter I took their old tray away so they had to use the new one. So was a bit slow as they were nervous but they got the hand of it and love it now so it’s more than worth your patience. The very first clumping litter I tried was a linen scented super clumping cat little petsentials. A lucky first try as it works great in this self cleaning cat litter tray and smells great too. Although the feces can be left in the base unit, I still prefer to pick out the clumps daily and poo op them into a nappy sack ( just my personal preference). My 2 cats have been properly using it for 2 weeks now and it still looks really clean inside and I just add a scoop of litter each day to keep it topped up but I really can’t see me needing to wash the whole thing or have to fully change the litter very often at all (I’d say longer than suggested as I reckon the way it is going now I could get away with at least a couple of months between washing. Tracking is far less than my previous wood based cat litter and smells significantly reduced, maybe just an initial quick smell the moment they’ve done a poop but it’s immediately taken away and with me using scented cat litter even the feces tray doesn’t smell bad when I open it to empty it. No waste age of cat litter either as only the clumps fall into the feces tray and hardly any excess so cat litter lasts really well. I’ve not added any other device such as the hose nor the attachment air thingy you can buy sepately to put on the side nor have I put any additional deodoriser in the feces tray as I feel the scented cat litter is solving any smell issues on its own. With regard to replacement bags for the tray. I’ve personally just popped a folded over puppy training pad in the feces tray and it makes it easy and flat for me to lift out the feces daily into a nappy sack which is much cheaper than buying the bags, but if you intend to leave feces collection for a longer period then using the proper liner bags are probably a better option but it’s just handy to know that there are alternatives. So all in all this is a fantastic product. I did my research and this is one of the only ones on the market with the video camera, and its not actually until you use it that you can appreciate just how much of an asset the video camera is so I am over the moon with my choice and am confident I got the best one at the best price. I thought my robot lawnmower was a game changer but this is now right up there with it. My cats paws now smell nice too ADDITIONAL INFO… it’s a good idea to set the device to not automatically clean when your cat is using this for the first few times as you can press the button to ‘clean’ yourself on the app when your cat is away from the tray. This is so that the cat can get used to using the tray before hearing the cleaning noise. Also once they are used to using the tray and you set it to automatically clean, you can adjust the time the machine waits before cleaning to a longer time. This can be a good idea if your cat doesn’t like the sound of the cleaning (I noticed another reviewer mentioned their cat was frightened) but although my cats were wary at first they now find the cleaning noise intriguing so you will more than likely overcome any initial teething problems with them getting used to it fairly quickly if you follow those steps and have a little patience in the first week or 2.

The product is working well. But I would say this product is not going to work for all cats. First of all our cat struggled to get into the box, secondly as it makes noise when cleaning, our cat gets anxious. But no complain about the product itself yet. I hope it doesn’t break and is going to keep working well.

I recently received the Charmkit Cat Litter Box with High Sides and Scoop, and I must say it has been a nice change for both me and my furry friend.
The dimensions are perfect for my big cat. The box is spacious enough for her to comfortably move around and do her business without feeling cramped. The high sides are a great addition as they prevent a lot of litter from scattering outside the box.
A bonus with this litter box is the included scoop. It is sturdy and slotted perfectly., making it a breeze to scoop up after my cat. The ergonomic design of the handle is comfortable to grip. This litter box is also durable and easy to maintain. The removable high sides and smooth surface makes it nice when dumping and cleaning.
Overall, I highly recommend the Charmkit Cat Litter Box with High Sides and Scoop. The quality material will probably last for a long time. It provides a comfortable space for my cat to do her thing and also makes my life as a pet owner easier.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFor the last 10 years I worked my way through various Robolitter models and every single one had various issues. What I did notice was that the customer service got progressively worse. The main problem I had was the smell, it didn’t matter what chemicals or how often you washed the litter tray it stank to high heaven.

So I purchased the charm hoping there would be no smell, the cleaning and deodorising works very well. I purchased the purifier which fixes on the side.

So far so good, no leaks and no smell!
I nearly converted back to the old litter tray but glad i purchased this instead. It’s a lot cheaper than the Robolitter, good quality and more functions. Robolitter will price themselves out of the market with Charmkit making better quality products at a reasonable price.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have had this a week now and I am very impressed, it works amazingly well with decent quality clumping litter such as Sanicat. I had a traditional litter box with non clumping litter before and even after 2-3 days it would be stinking the whole house out with my 2 cats. I have not had a single whiff from this and I have not had to touch it yet. This has been a game changer. Its fairly quiet and the cats seem to love it. It seems well built and a lot of thought appears to have gone in to the design I just hope it carries on running fine for years to come, very happy so far.

It’s OK litter box. My cats use it. Figured I got an older cat that has a hard time jumping up on some things now so having a step in the litter box.. plus figured they cleaned their paws off on that instead of always putting her paws in the water and litter in their water. That drives me crazy. But unfortunately, they still do that.. way back to the box. Any litter box the cats use it like any other litter box. my only issue is how much space the step takes in the box, takes about a quarter of the bottom box. So if you have some pretty big cats like I do and those cats like to run around in circles and dig the litter till they go, you may have an issue with this litter box. It’s forcing the in a smaller place, even though the litter box itself is big and very deep. Another thing I don’t like about the step when trying to clean it it’s always in the way. But say it’s a litter box and a cats do use it and that’s the main thing. Like the scoop, both of them that it comes with.. all and all, it’s OK litter box. Understand the gimmick of the step.. but honestly, it’s more of a burden to me then a plus unfortunately. Hence four out of five stars.

A little over a month ago, we decided we needed ANOTHER cat to add to our litter of 5. My niece saw a large kitten and thought it would be funny to “pss psss” noise that she sees on silly cat shirts and low and behold, the kitten ran to her, she fed him, and he never left. We figured one more chat was something we could handle but we needed another box.

Enter the hero of this story—this simple litter box. This box stands tall, like a skyscraper in Kitty City, successfully containing most of the litter even when Mr. High-stepper decides to stage a one-cat parade.

Now, let’s get down and dirty—literally. This box is made of plastic, which means it’s not only high fashion but also a breeze to scrub down during those full-scale litter overhauls. It does harbor a hint of odor, but fear not—I let it soak overnight, like a cat spa treatment. Does it work? Your guess is as good as mine because, fun fact, I’ve lost my sense of smell. With 6 litter boxes in rotation, one is always on vacation for a good cleaning and soak. They clean up easier than a cat covering its tracks, but call me paranoid—I’m on a mission to banish any whiff of eau de litter.

Size matters, they say, but I can’t vouch for that in the cat world. My biggest furball, a leggy 15-pound beast, prefers to use this box for some reason but who am I to question where she digs her holes, just as long as she covers them up.

Now, a word of caution, or maybe just my two cents—clumping litter in this box requires a tad more elbow grease. Why? The cat litter mysteries are as deep as a cat’s disdainful stare. Not a Herculean effort, just a sprinkle more effort than usual. Consider yourself warned, fellow cat enthusiasts.

In conclusion, if your cat’s bathroom game needs an upgrade from cardboard chic to plastic fantastic, this box is your ticket to a litter-ary masterpiece. It’s the cat’s meow, the bee’s knees, and the purr-fect addition to your feline-dominated kingdom. Happy scooping, my friends!

This litter box has me baffled that I’ve never seen any with a flippy lid/lip like this before. It’s really very cool and so quick to use/empty litter back into the bin. I use grass seed litter, and although I love it’s clean, rubbery clumps that are easy to remove from the sides of boxes, it has a tendency to absolutely fly everywhere due to how lightweight it is.

The front grate lifts up extremely smoothly and without catching whatsoever. The litter falls back in, and I’ve been surprised at how well the front dam keeps it from falling underneath the grate. After a little while I did see some litter in there, but it’s easy to clean out. This box is sturdy and I feel like the cats like being able to stand on the grate a bit sometimes while they use it.

The only thing that confused me was the included sifter. I tried to use it both the way it was presented (blue sifter with holes attached to the beige sifter behind it) and with only the blue sifter and didn’t really notice any improvement/efficiency with them attached. It’s possible they aren’t supposed to be? I don’t know. That said, I have one of those metal bigger shovel-type sifters and I don’t really have the patience for the smaller plastic ones anyways, but it is certainly better than other included plastic ones I’ve tried. Sometimes it’s also nice to have individual litter sifters stay with the specific box also, so you don’t have to go find the main sifter every time or something (if you have your boxes in different locations/rooms like I do). I’m appreciating it for that purpose right now.

Another thing I’ve noticed that I was initially worried about was the cats don’t seem to be annoyed by the grate, which is nice. They don’t seem to be having awkward moments getting in or choosing other boxes over it. It’s also low enough that it’s easy to get into, but high enough not to cause missing issues, at least not over here. So far I’m a fan:)

I wish more litter boxes utilized this technology.

I was really hoping the step would be optional, and it is removable. But using the litter box without it would require scooping around the ridge at the bottom, plus litter would constantly escape the two holes on the sides of the box (one of my cats is a kicker). The step itself works fine, but it takes away at least a quarter of the space you think you’re getting based on the box’s measurements. You can see from the last picture that it has much less usable space than my other (grey) box. All my cats are 10+ lbs so you may have better luck with smaller cats.

I got it because my old (blue) box was too tall for my elderly cat, and I like that this one is just as tall at the back! It’s really hard to find a high-sided litter box that’s still easy to enter, and my old guy has no trouble climbing into this one. He even seems to prefer it over the other one… when it’s empty enough, at least. Unfortunately the litter space is so small that it fills up within hours of being scooped.

I do like that the step is ridged so it catches extra litter when they leave, and it’s attached with a hinge so you can easily tilt it back into the rest of the litter when cleaning. You can also hide the scooper under the step, and/or other small supplies like poop bags. (I chose to keep the scoop from my old box, which has a hook that fits on this box too despite it having a thicker rim.) If you’re using a small grain litter you may get some kicked into this compartment since it’s not completely sealed off.

Overall I’m happy with the box, I just wish it was a little bigger (longer at the very least, maybe a bit wider too). But it’s working for my cats for now!

Good but the step takes up too much space

This litter box with sides solved the majority of the problem of my cat kicking litter out of the box. I like that the sides of the removable cover slant inward a bit and deflect the litter back into the box. The removable top is a good feature that allows for easy cleaning of the litter box, but doesn’t interfere with my cat’s hopping in and out of the box.
The box itself is a bit smaller than other litter boxes I’ve had. It’s not especially deep, either, but this isn’t much of a problem since my cat is small. All in all, this is a pretty good litter box and manages to keep most of the littler contained.
I found the litter scoop that came with the box pretty useless. The scoop itself is small and the holes in the “screen” of the scoop are way too big to pick up small clumps of soiled litter. Almost everything falls through the holes.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersI recently purchased this self-cleaning cat litter box after my daughter took my previous one since it was too big for my bathroom. I can’t express how pleased I am with this purchase. First of all, the setup was SO EASY. I’m not particularly handy, but the instructions were clear, and I had it up and running in no time. The accompanying app, which allows remote monitoring, was straightforward to install on my smartphone, and it worked seamlessly right from the start. It even sends you pictures of your cat’s poop after it is done pooping!! The built-in sensor ensures it doesn’t activate while our cat is inside, so she’s never startled. Since this litter box is square and not round like the previous one I ordered, this one was more compact and fit in the space I needed and was a perfect fit. I will state I did not hook up the ventilation hose, but even without it, it does not affect the use of the cat litter box which I really appreciate. The self-cleaning mechanism is the real star of the show here. It’s not just a convenience; it’s a lifesaver. No more scooping litter multiple times a day! The automatic cleaning cycle kicks in, and within a few minutes, it has removed all the clumps, leaving a fresh and clean litter bed for my cat. The best part? There’s no odor! I used to dread walking into my house after a long day at work, but now, I don’t even notice that I have a cat, which is great since I will admit I’m more of a dog lover. In my defense, the cat is not mine and is my husbands, lol. Maintenance is simple as well. Emptying the waste tray is as simple as opening the tray and grabbing the bag and putting in a new bag. NO SCOOPING. The litter refill process is straightforward. I appreciate that the manufacturer provides easy-to-find replacement parts and supplies, either here off of Amazon or on the manufacturers website. The only downside I can think of is the initial cost, but honestly, it’s worth every penny. I’ve calculated the savings on litter, and it’s going to pay for itself in no time. Plus, the convenience and time saved are priceless. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersI raise two cats, namely Lily, a 3-year-old calico cat, and Leon, a 1.5-year-old Maine Coon. As a seasoned mechanical engineer, I have an innate passion for technology products. I spent a month researching various brands of automatic cat litter boxes until I stumbled upon Charmkit’s product on Amazon, and I’ve been using it for a week now.

    Advantages:

    Safety System
Charmkit employs a safety sensing gate design. After a cat uses the litter box, the machine attempts to close the gate after 20 seconds. When a cat approaches within a 50cm range in front of the machine, the sensor responds, halting the gate-closing command, and retrying after 15 seconds. To be frank, during the initial three days of using the product, Leon was repeatedly drawn to the sound of the gate closing, approaching it constantly, which resulted in cleaning sessions taking around 10 minutes. However, as of now, they have grown accustomed to the sound, and the machine operates swiftly.

    Sensor Quantity
Their design team wisely allocated resources where it matters most – product safety. The number of sensors it comes equipped with is the most extensive I’ve seen so far. This includes a radar sensor in front of the machine with a range of 50cm, infrared sensors at the entrance, four gravity sensors at the bottom of the machine, two infrared sensors inside the waste compartment, and an internal motor anti-jamming cat detection current system. Compared to other brands that rely solely on radar sensors and gravity sensors, I personally believe Charmkit’s product offers more comprehensive cat proximity detection.

    Physical Deodorization
Clearly, the Charmkit team conducted in-depth research on other brands’ odor elimination methods and consulted professionals. They incorporated air purifier fresh air system technology to exchange air with the external environment to eliminate odors. Frankly, I’m not a fan of chemical deodorizers or some brands’ aroma generators, and I’m unsure if my cats would adapt to them. However, they have also provided a space for customers to place deodorizers if desired.

    Disadvantages:

    Network Configuration Issues
I encountered an error when initially trying to connect to the 5GHz Wi-Fi network. Later, I turned off the 5GHz feature on my Wi-Fi router, connected to the 2.4GHz successfully, and then re-enabled 5GHz without any issues. This was a communication problem I discussed with the customer support team and was resolved satisfactorily. The complexity of each household’s network environment can be a factor.

    Unsuitable for Placement on Carpets
I initially placed the machine on a carpet and it detected Lily’s weight as exceeding my expectations. After reviewing the manual again, I learned that it must be placed on a flat, non-carpeted surface for the gravity sensor to function effectively.

    Repetitive Information Push Notifications
Their camera utilizes motion detection, resulting in my receiving notifications on the app whenever my cat passes by the litter box. However, my cat Lily is quite active, so I would receive numerous notifications throughout the day, prompting me to disable this feature. The customer support team actively communicated with me and promised to optimize the types of notifications pushed.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI love my two cats so much! One’s Chowee, he’s a year and a half, weighs 11 pounds. The other’s DoorDoor, only two months old, weighs 2 pounds. They’re my babies, I love them more than anything! And that’s why I got them the smartest litter box out there – it’s seriously the cat’s meow!
Let’s talk safety first. This litter box is like Fort Knox for my cats. With the litter box having sensors that can detect the gravity inside and infrared signals from within the waste compartment, so I never have to worry about them getting stuck in there. And the door stays closed during the cleaning process, so there’s no chance of any accidents happening. Plus, if the radar and infrared sensors detect my cats during the cleaning cycle, the door will reopen and wait 15 seconds after they leave before closing again. It’s like having a personal bodyguard for my cats!
But that’s not even the coolest part. The litter box has a camera installed inside the globe, so I can literally watch my cats do their business from anywhere in the world! And no more stinky litter box, thanks to the negative ion deodorization and ventilation technology. I mean, seriously, my house smells like a field of flowers now!
And get this – I can control the litter box from my phone! That’s right, the app remote control lets me clean the litter box, level the litter, replace it, and freshen the air all from my phone. And it even supports 5G wifi, so I never have to worry about a slow connection. It’s like having a butler for my cats!
And if you’re like me and have multiple cats, you’ll love the multi-cat recognition feature. It can recognize up to ten cats based on their weight, and I can edit their info and check their litter box usage on the app. It’s like having a personal assistant for each of my cats!
So if you want to pamper your cats like the royalty they are, you have got to get this litter box. It’s safe, smart, and totally pampers your fur babies. Trust me, your cats will love you even more for it!

Love this thing! No problem with use.
