I have pard this PSU with AMD Ryzen 5 5600, MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS Motherboard ATX and MSI RTX 4060 VENTUS 2X BLACK 8G OC with corsair ram (2 x 8GB) CM4X8GD3600C18KD2.
Bought the CX650 for old Dell Optiplex 7010 mini tower upgraded with a i5-8400 motherboard.
I didn’t choose the flashy CX650M modular version. Apart from higher cost, apparently Gamers Nexus said it uses a different inferior electronics design.
Although I had viewed a couple of Youtube videos suggesting it is a straightforward PSU upgrade, I must have missed two points in all the videos.
First point is the original Dell power supply has two separate leads with a pair of SATA connectors on each one. One lead serves the upper drive bays. The other lead serves the internal drives at the bottom of the case. To my surprise, the CX650 comes with one lead with three SATA connectors, and a second lead with out of fashion Molex connectors ! Fortunately, I had a spare Molex to 2x SATA adapter cable.
Second point is the Dell use low profile right angle SATA connectors. With the CX650 cables, the case door can’t be closed if drives are fitted in the bottom of the case using Dell’s blue plastic mounting brackets. Some DIY modifications were required to resolve the problem if the drive cannot be relocated within the case.
TBF, the above are more ‘Dell’ than Corsair issues.
As for the CX650, it seems quiet and has no trouble powering the i5-8400 motherboard and RTX 4060 twin fan graphics card.
I have 2 of these and they are great for the budget minded.

This is the cheapest 750W power supply I could find that is (probably) 750W in reality.
Sure you can find cheaper – but look at the reported weight. If it’s much less than 2kg, the rating is probably inflated.
This would only be better if it was modular or at least semi-modular. I understand the price point won’t sustain that, hence 4 stars.
From opening the box, I could see although it was a bit expensive, this was a product of the highest quality and what I imagined from Corsair. The internal cables are bound together by high quality fabric material, the PSU unit was the perfect size for my case, it just oozes quality. I was able to mount and install with no problems, this being my first PSU install. Plenty of cables which didn’t need but might come on handy later, the only slight criticism would have is that there isn’t much length on the cablea to connect my Blu ray drive and my SSD in the case. I had to turn my SSD the other way and just managed to reach them both. The fan in the unit is also extremely quiet, a bit difference.
Overall top quality Corsair product and very happy.
I messed up by not getting a fully modular power supply but this one is still solid and for how cheap it is – it’s impressive
Only complaint is I wish it had more sata connections
Solid 650w PSU. Used it as a replacement for a faulty power supply. Fits well, decent cable length. The only problem is that it only comes with one 3-gang Sata Power cable, but if you have a Molex to Sata Power cable adapter, this will not be an issue
My pc is stable and the fan is quiets so a thumbs up from me.
