Get Some Air

Mould and mildew love warm damp environments so keep your bathroom well ventilated. Use an extractor fan after a bath or shower and try to keep the door open when the bathroom isn’t in use.

Wash the Soft Stuff

Clean shower curtains regularly with a suitable disinfectant product or launder according to manufacturer’s instructions. Launder and replace towels regularly and hang them up somewhere to dry after use. Remember, don’t leave them on the bathroom floor.

Clean the Hard Surfaces

Regularly clean and disinfect tiled walls, shower doors and other hard surfaces where moisture is likely to collect. It’s also a good idea to use a dry cloth or squeegee to remove excess water.

Routine Cleaning

I haven’t found any product better than this for removing mould. Literally the mould just dissolves into nothing and you just need to rinse off with water after a couple of minutes. Smells of bleach not lovely roses but that doesn’t bother me as it just gets the job done. Works quickly, easily and efficiently although do be careful you don’t spray it on anything that you wouldn’t put bleach on.

I have been using this spary since many years and this Dettol Antibacterial Mould Spray is a game-changer very effectively eradicates mould in no time and you don’t have to clean wall with cloth once spray is applied it will absorb automatically. After just one application, the mould spots in my bathroom vanished, and the surfaces looked as good as new. Removes mould immediately. Once you spray it, you begin to see the mould break down instantly. All it needs is for you to clean and towel dry after. You see results quite literally within the first THREE MINS! I wish I knew about this sooner!

Wonderful spray. You name it, it cleans it. I have sprayed outside on paths. The shower tiles when the grout get grubby a quick spray back like new. Sinks plug holes anything which is stubborn to remove. Once you have tried this there is no buying anything else.

I used this to clear the mould and mildew on my conservatory blinds that I was told by the company who supplied them said they couldn’t be cleaned with anything and I had to pay them a load of money to do it for me. They must think I’m a mug. Take note though that after thorough checking of my blinds discovered the ‘fabric’ on them was plastic, so doesn’t bleach out when using Dettol Mould and Mildew Remover Spray. However, be warned if you use this on any other normal material (cotton, wool, etc), it will bleach it out. Mould and Mildew Remover Spray was absolutely effective at removing the mould and mildew. I also used it on the window frames of the conservatory and the walls. You don’t need to wash or scrub the walls. Just spray it on and leave, and within 30 mins, the wall is clear and the mould/mildew has gone. If you don’t like the smell of bleach then this probably isn’t for you. If you do use it, make sure you open doors and windows to let the air through, as after a while it can get a bit too much. Just one thing I did notice. One of the 6 pack seems way more strong than the others. Not sure why it was so much more potent but it definitely different to the others.

I read many reviews about this product saying it was really effective, must say it actually is. I used the product against mould on walls and in just a few minutes it removed any sign of mould. Make sure to follow the safety rules written behind the bottle.

I had mould in my wet room
I got some of this stuff
And open my windows and put a mask on
Absolutely blasted the wet room with this stuff I emptied the bottle I don’t know whether you should do this or not, but I haven’t got mould anymore. It comes in a pack of six so once a week, I spray my floor and all my tiles with it and mould as never returned

I bought this a week ago and I’ve used it on almost my whole student house. Think black mould all over the place walls, blinds, curtains, cupboards, showers. I have used this nonstop. Works soooo well and soooo fast!!!! Ideal in the shower. It doesn’t exactly say that it can be used on fabric, but I have used it on blinds and on curtains and it’s worked. Would highly recommend!!!

This is an excellent product.
I was unconvinced a spray would deliver for black mold removal, but I decided to give it a shot:
– It chases mold out like a prophet opening the sea. I use it all the time in my bathroom for my weekly cleaning and it delivers.
– The only minor negative point I would say is that it has a really strong smell, so I really advise you to use it with open windows.
– It does work on paint, but I would not advise you to do that due to the potential chemical reaction you could get between the product and paints. Plus it would definitely remove paint and mold if use on water based paint.

Five stars, will buy again.

Silly me didn’t take a before shot but this was the result! Took the mould off effortlessly (it says no need to scrub but I did wipe down with a cloth after 10 minutes and voila! Mould gone from my bathroom ceiling. I’ve since used the spray to remove mould from the rubber rim and soap drawer of my washing machine. It’s like magic – Highly recommend!

I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get rid of the black spot mold all around my house from condensation but after using this in pretty much every room it was all gone within 10 minutes (some areas needed a second spray the next day)

Has a very strong smell like a swimming pool which I honestly dont mind but some people might.

Make sure you air your place well after use.

You know that discolouration you get in between the tiles on the grout, well this pretty much destroys it. No scrubbing involved. Just spray on, walk away and have a cup of tea, come back and rinse. That’s it. I’m not saying it will eliminate old mould , but it will keep new growth at bay.

Arrived in good time. But had leaked everywhere in the box, I think if it had been kept upright and not on it’s side, then I think it would of been fine. It was only one bottle that had leaked, but you can imagine it soaked the entire box of 6. But otherwise I cannot fault this Dettol, I’ve been using this for quite sometime now & it does exactly what its meant to. As long as you have a window open whilst using it because it’s a very strong powerful smell and rubber gloves is needed. It does have a strong smelling of bleach, but it always seems like that freshly deep cleaning smell. I tend to use this in my shower and a good few squirts of this, if any black mould & mildew appears & leave for about 10-15mins & boom it’s disappeared and then I just get some soapy water in a bucket with a scourer to wipe it off. It’s fantastic stuff and I would highly recommend.
