Irons
Distilled water is recommended for use in irons to safeguard the iron from crusty build-up that will shorten the life of the iron. This is because distilled water is contaminant and mineral free. Distilled water will keep your iron working properly for years to come.
Car Batteries and Car Radiators
Many batteries are low maintenance and do not require water to be added. However, for batteries that allow water to be added, impurities can have a large impact on performance. Using tap water will leave behind minerals that will accumulate and effect the inside of the battery.
CPAP Machines
Most manufacturers recommend that distilled water for CPAP machines because tap water can leave mineral or contaminant deposits in the machine’s humidifier. This will reduce the life of the CPAP machine. Moreover, tap water could have bacteria or microbes present.

I use distilled water to clean my vinyl records,i ordered this exact item 06/03/24 9.49 for 5Litres,came to order again 22/03/24 and a price increase to 11.42,i know it does not sound much, but it does deter a customer from reordering, but fortunately they are selling 2 x 5Litres for 19.49,if the next time when i reorder i think i will be looking else where,i have no issues with the product it works well, hence me returning.
Product is good, this is the second time I have used this. I had a nightmare with the delivery and one 5L bottle was missing. I blame the deivery company not CHEMICAL SUPERSTORE. They gave me a refund on the missing 5L, I can’t complain really.
I bought my wife a Braun Carestyle 5 Steam Generator Iron which you can use with tap water . the problem is we live in a hard water area so the calcium build up can be troublesome and if you don’t decalt regularly it stats spitting out brown gunge which she finds upsetting. So I bought 10l of de-ionised water which she has been using but recently the iron has started spitting out white powder- clearly there is still some residual calcium in the water.
So I have now bought this Distilled Water which should be free of nay and every impurity and ironing can be a pleasure for my Wife once again! I hope so otherwise I have to buy a new iron!!
