Researched many suppliers and based on reviews, company information and price quite for my radiators.
Price on 6m with 25% discount works out best value.
PROS
1. Installation very easy and flexible.
2. Quality fabulous
3. Cutting very easy
CONS
1. Does not come with double sided sticky tape
Although I used my own with I brought from amazon I tape roll strip is enough. I place 6 cuts per requirement.
Going to give 4/5 just because no double sided tape, else brilliant.
Heating – TBD will have to see if keeps house warmer.
Rads covered – 2 Tall, 4 side rads
Used in rabbit shed. Easiest insulation I’ve ever used. Cannot believe how one layer is so effective. Attached to shed ceiling amazingly easy as is light and easy to attach.
After the battles I’ve had cutting and fitting other forms of insulation this was a ‘dream’.
I taped 6-layers together for my external, kitchen-door’s interior alcove. Light and easy to cut. Holds in place with friction: over-cut margin 1-2 inches all round. Attach cord or tape to pull out. Can feel the room warmer immediately! Also stick behind radiator as wall heat-reflector, and over poor-quality, double-glazed, door skylight for winter. Brilliant stuff!
Cut into three lengths. Taped together to form one large sheet. Used to create a thermal covering on a hot tub, so as to cut down on heat loss through the top, to save money on heating the tub continuously, and it works well in conjunction with the foil insulation around the lower part of the tub.
Does what it’s supposed to do. Cheaper than a lot of others and it does the job. Easy to put up too. Get a sharp stanley knife and go mental with a stapler and it’s done. Recommend.
I am using this to insulate a summer house to reduce condensation . I have also used air vents so am hoping this works but the insulation is easy to fix and lightweigh
A cold cupboard in a closed porch. Used it to insulate inside did the job. (Fixing tip don’t use electric staplers as material will stop stapler working. Glue or use a hammer naile
I love this stuff .Bought this roll as a back up for my other roll.I used it to keep the heat down in my back garden shed.I used it on my double glass doors that face the sun and its best to put it on the outside. Its been on 2 years now and no damage. The heat in shed dropped by about 90%.Thought if global temps rise and we hit 40 degrees+ I will knock up a portable frame and fix this to my front windows which are also in direct sunlight.Thought I would get it now as I suspect it would be hard to get, as happened a few years ago you couldn’t get a fan etc from anywhere in uk one hot summer..
I put this product into our loft to give it another layer of insulation. All you need is some scissors and a good staple gun. It is not easy work as most peoples lofts are full of stuff being stored and to get to the low bits means laying on your back, holding the stuff up above you to tack it into place. However, work done and all good.
We used this as additional insulation to our loft. We pinned it to the roof rafters, using a staple gun. Very easy to install. It also makes the loft lighter as the light reflects off it into the loft. We’ve only had it in for a week so I can’t give an accurate assessment of how efficient it is yet but first impressions are good. It will certainly help stop heat being lost through the roof and for the price I feel that it was a good purchase.
I used this to insulate my cabin which I use as an art room. I put it on the floor under the carpet as well as on the walls and ceiling. It has made a massive difference to the indoor temperature now. Hopefully when the warmer weather arrives it will also help to reduce the heat which builds up. It does look a bit like a space bubble but I can live with that.
Needed something to help keep my garage a bit warmer, Happy with this stuff was easy to install with a staple gun and much cheaper than other alternatives. may even have enough left over to cover the garage door. Excellent seller came quicker than expected.
All you should need is a Measuring tape, sharp Scissors and a Staplegun always leave an Air gap Both Sides you may need to batten out when boarding out after stapling to face of Studs or Rafters! don’t forget Aluminium Tape for the joints
Used as a vapour barrier/insulation to line a campervan. 9 months of use down the line and we have been really pleased. Kept the heat out in summer and having just returned from a 2 week trip to the Outer Hebrides in very cold temperatures with no heating it kept us really snug.
We seemed to be using a significant amount of electricity on our hot tub, partly due to erratic nature of British weather.
I opted to remove the side panels and line with this and hold in place with aluminium tape, it fit perfectly and was easily cut with a safety knife.
From using a reputable (Fluke) IR thermometer and a thermal camera it reduced heat loss by 1c on all sides, I probably would have expected greater thermal performance giving the thickness and price although I would recommend it.
I bought this on the advice of other hot tub users to create an insulation jacket for my newly purchased hot tub. I used strong velcro fastening to secure it in place and unlike others who have taped their insulation to tubs my jacket is fully removable.
My tub is only losing 3 degrees overnight.
I have a very draughty door that leads to my garden, I’ve struggled to find ways to keep it insulated in the winter months, as we don’t use the door I bought a roll of this to cover the door with and so far it’s worked a treat.
I had some left over so I put some at the back of my radiators like I’ve seen loads of people doing online to see if it would make much difference, it made no difference what so ever so I wouldn’t purchase it for that.
