Dual Port Ring Doorbell Battery Charger Compatible with Ring Video Doorbell 2/3/3Plus/4, Ring Spotlight Camera and Stick Up Camera Battery (Excluding batteries)
Only used this a handful of times but being able to charge two batteries at once is such a time saver, it makes perfect sense, especially as I rotate several batteries in multiple Ring devices.
Charging time seems to be the equivalent to that of the single Ring charger (orange cable).
I recommend this product.
When I first saw this I thought what’s the point of it was as you could just charge your batteries using two separate Micro USB cables, and you probably got loads of them lying around from other devices. Upon close inspection I realised the benefits of having this. With this you can charge two batteries simultaneously with one charging cable, that goes into the base of this charger. Also the interface on this is the newer USB Type C interface, which I prefer over all the other USB interfaces as it’s small and discreet and you can put the cable in either way as the connector is symmetrical all the way around.
The Ring batteries actually have the older Micro USB interface on them, and over time either the connector on the cable or the interface on the battery gets damaged. With this charger you just leave your USB-C cable plugged into it and it charges both batteries without you having to touch the Micro USB interface on it.
The only negative I can think of on this is that there is no charging indicators on the charger itself, and you still have to rely upon the indicators on the batteries to see the status of the charging. Overall this is a great little charger, with very little outlay, that will streamline your charging and reduce the number of cables you have cluttering up the place and definitely worth buying in my opinion.
The item comes with the battery stand charger and the wire (no plug). The connection to the charger is USB-C so uses the latest charging technology.
It works as expected. Just plug it in and put your ring battery and you’re good to charge them at the same time and have a stand for it too!
This is a great idea if you have more than 1 Ring Doorbell battery and need to charge them at the same time. Great if you need to swap out batteries. Charges quickly. Small compact size too, doesn’t take up too much space.
I got this charger as I’m always looking for charging leads when my Ring Spotlight Cam needs charging.
I have four batteries so I can charge two and and swap them over when needed but I can never seem to find the right charging cable.
This charger charges two batteries at a time so is perfect for my situation and it charges them fast too, a green LED lets you know when they’re ready.
The charger connect to a USB-A sockets so will require an additional adapter or specific wall outlet.
They are a lot of money but make charging so much easier.
Ring battery charger for 2 batteries.
It’s a simple unit made from plastic that’s very light. The connectors for the batteries are pogo pins so just drop in the battery and away you go.
I don’t believe there is any form of charge controller in this as the batteries handle that side on the ring batteries.
The unofficial battery I have that’s very tight in the doorbell is also very tight in this charger so it’s dimensions are based on the official batteries.
Does what it’s supposed to do!
I have a number of Ring cameras, so I feel like I’m constantly charging these batteries. I keep 2 spare batteries charged ready to swap out when needed, which makes this dual charger perfect for my needs.
The batteries don’t clip into the unit, but they just slot in to make contact with two spring-loaded connection pins and are held in place by a snug fit of the port housing that gives just enough resistance to hold them in place.
As there’s no clips to deal with, there’s nothing to wear out, unlike the microUSB sockets on the batteries themselves which I find to become loose fitting over time. As this is a 12 retail priced device (9 with discount at the time of ordering) it is a cheaper replacement than the batteries and so for that reason I’d rather use something like this than the constant wear & tare of the charging port on the batteries themselves.
I ordered these as an additional alternative for charging my ring door bell battery.
It works exactly how it should and the battery fits perfectly. Good quality at a great price. There’s nothing not to like and therefore I have awarded this product 5 stars.
This is a very simple device, a double charger for Ring Video batteries. I have a doorbell and two external cameras, all powered by battery. The way I have the doorbell set seems to make the battery drain quicker so I’ve always had a spare battery for that but after getting the extra two camera, I bought an extra battery too, assuming they’d eat through them just as fast. Turns out they don’t (I must have the settings done differently) but still, it’s nice to have a way to neatly store two batteries and charge them at the same time if I need to. I just leave them slotted in the charger and just plug it in when I actually need them charging.
I can’t attest to the charging time required as I’ve not needed to do a full charge of two batteries yet. I do remember that one battery takes most of a day but I don’t know if it takes the same time or longer to charge both at the same time. If I ever work it out I’ll update the review.
I have two Ring cameras, and coincidentally, they both required recharging at the same time. Enter the solution…
This unit is small and well-made and feels sturdy. It’s about 6cm square by a fraction over 2cm tall and is made of good quality plastic. It comes with a 1m USB C power cable to plug into a phone style charger (not supplied), or a PC. The little pins (see photo) are sprung, so that when the batteries are inserted, they make good contact with the battery connections.
When I put the Ring camera batteries in the holder, they fitted snuggly, a very good fit in fact and just tight enough to grip the batteries so they stay in place without being difficult to insert or remove them.
When charging, that case has a little dip in so one can see the green LED on the battery, a nice touch.
Bottom line: This is a handy well made little unit that seems to do exactly what it needs to.
