This is the first fused plug adapter I have seen. The 13A fuse is easy to replace with a lower rated fuse if you use it with small devices. It feels solid and robust, meets the UK standard BS5733 for electrical accessories and carries the UKCA certification mark.
I am using the adapter with the European plug that is fitted to my electric toothbrush charger, which has two round pins. The adapter has a strong spring action that will push the plug out if not pushed firmly in. When pushed fully in, the plug is held firmly in position.
I checked the adapter with a US plug that has two flap pins. I could push the US plug fully into the adapter, though the flat pins looked as if they were being away from each other.
This is the best UK adapter I have used, and the only one that has been fused.
