Easy to set up. Small so will sit easily on cupboard, tall boy, or other item of furniture top. Has a long life. The test beep worked. Hopefully there will be no gases for it to detect!
Bought this as it’s an essential item to have in any home. Was on sale at a greatly reduced price. No need for battery replacements as it’s already sealed inside. Comes with 5 year warranty so what’s not to like.
No issues with the detector but was replacing old product of same make- the fittings to attach to the wall were a few mm different to previous one, so awkward to fit- only reason why 4 stars.
I bought this as my old fixed unit had expired.
The instructions are simple and it’s easy to use but a much more modern feel.
It even fits in the same space as the old one- great value for money.
These are incredibly important in protecting your family against potential carbon monoxide poisoning. Nice and small device and so far so good. Been several months (tend to review only after a while to ensure products are up to the job).
It is not the loudest in the world but loud enough for you to hear. These won’t blow your ears off. For me thats important with children but others may wish for a mains plug version or alternative if they want a louder alarm.
Time will tell if the battery lasts ten years. In my experience the ten year sealed batteries usually fail before the ten year period so something to consider. These also only come with a 5 year warranty which says it all too but I liked the size, it is a reputable brand and I like the convenience of not changing the battery.
In summary do consider these points and whether they are important to you prior to purchase or whether another CO alarm is better for you. For me I don’t mind these points and it works as intended so far hence the 5 stars.
This alarm is a good size, and looks nice. It can be fixed using the screws that were provided, or it can be left free standing. Just remove the red tag and it activates it giving you immediate peace of mind. The tag can be reinserted in the future should you wish to deactivate it for any reason.
I have no hesitation in recommending it.
I needed to replace a carbon monoxide monitor that no longer complies with the requirement of a boat safety certificate and this one fits the bill. The specification is exactly right, it’ll last for the next 10 years and the price was good too. It’s very neat and can either be wall hung or kept on a shelf.
Doesn’t have the mounting plate like my previous one and the screw spacings are wider, so required a new hole. Not really a problem.
Just mount it and remove the battery isolating pin and job done for 10 years
This is supposed to be a replacement for the discontinued CO9X. So why does it have different mounting requiring 2 new holes with the old ones needing filling and why is the activator pull out different such that it cannot be used with the previous model. Other than that it appears to do the job.
Manufacturers need to focus on upward compatibility.
I have purchased one of these before and they are very good, it can either be fixed or freestanding. Comes with 10 year battery life plus 5 year warranty and full instructions. Small and compact does not take up much space.
Have used this brand before and the life stated is a hit or miss. I guess it depends on how old the battery is (not replaceable in this one).
Mine is free standing so no issues with install. Overall a great product – gives us peaceful night sleeps!
I bought this to replace a previous Fire Angel. This one is very similar to the old one, but has a ten year life (the previous one was seven years), and it’s cheaper than the old one was.
Bought two, one for the kitchen and one for the sitting room where I have a gas fire. Installation was straightforward as I have stood them on the door architraves. I’m presuming they work?
