I used two of these adaptors to connect one to NZXT F280 RGB Fans and a RGB GPU Sag stand to a lighting node core that came with a pack of 3 RGB fans.

This product does its job making sure to convert so that it works with Crosshair very well I was very happy to see that it worked because there has been other products that I’ve tried that didn’t do the job.

Hopefully Corsair had fixed this issue by the time you read this review. The manual detection step for RGB ports in iCUE5 is broken. You have to uninstall V5 and install V4 instead. Perform the manual detection in that version, assign a light setup, then re-install V5 which will preserve the setup. You can then apply further changes as you wish.

Wanted to add some RGB lighting that’s running in my PC build to my Corsair controller. I have the iCue Commander CORE running some of my fans.. with a extra RGB port available I connected the adapter to my RGB stick and nothing. It never worked… now I don’t know if I did something wrong but the adapter never worked for me. I’m thinking maybe its the type of controller I have because Corsair makes multiple controller for its devices and maybe this adapter just isn’t compatible. Make sure you do your research. I’m sure it works I just don’t think I have the correct equipment.

I could not get these to work and decided to scan the QR code to see what there was for instructions. You need to set up the 4 pin lighting effects to custom and set up the ports manually. The instructions tell you how many LEDs can be on each port which device (Commander Core XT in my case) works and how to set it up. Don’t be like me and skip the instructions!
