I have an extensive Philips Hue set up in my house, but balked at the cost of their floor lamp for the corner of the dining room, so got this instead.
I already have a couple of Govee LED Strips so I already had the App installed and connected to Alexa, so the connection worked perfectly, appeared on my Alexa app immediately and so can be voice controlled etc.
The only downside, and this is nit picking is the screws that hold the sections together are tiny, and the channel is a bit deep and narrow, so a magnetic screwdriver bit is a total godsend far that bit.
Getting the light up and running was straightforward, I’m sure I’m not getting anything like the best I can from it however as the app is less than intuitive, at least to me. the Philips hue app is much better but then the lights are multiples more expensive!!
I’m so glad I bought the Lyra in time for the Festive season. The Christmas effect & sound sensitive options were well used throughout!
Yes, I could have done a video, some photos & added a list of features. But there’s already loads of stuff out there.
Suffice to say that this is a true 21st century lamp that would grace any room in any house.
It’s very well made, easy to put together but DO read the instructions) and very elegant.
Some might think it pricey at full RRP but it’s often on sale 30% or more cheaper.

Very good light, cool looking with lots of different settings via the easy to use app. I have a few Govee lights and they’re all excellent and much better value for money than other smart light brands.

Needed a new lamp to discreetly light up a corner of my room, have to say this is great, it does the job while not fancy or anything. I haven’t tried the different modes yet on the app or even linked it to alexa but I will when I get round to it.
Needing something to add some light to the back room of our house and this is perfect. It’s also handy being smart so we can change the warmth of the light during the day and evening, with some fancy other settings available too. Was worried about the price but its been worth it so far.
Really easy to assemble and setup and made from sturdy and quailty materials.
App connectivity is smooth and seamless. There’s a remote too but I just use the app as its functionality is great.
The light feels dimmer than I expected considering it’s advertised as 1500 lumens, but I don’t have anything to measure or compare it too so. Not bothered about that tho since it lights up my room nicely after dark.
Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for smart lighting. RGBICWW is top tier smart lighting but do your own research too!

The tunable white light is incredibly useful. During the daytime they run cool at bright so that I can tidy up and see clearly, and in the evenings I have them warmer and dimmer to help me relax. The RGB is fun whilst gaming. On full, I’d guess that they throw out about the same amount of light as a 100W incandescent bulb. Since they bounce and diffuse the light off a large area of your wall, they’re able to be bright without glare. I suspect that this style of light is going to become more popular, it works much better than an uplighter or traditional floor lamp. If you can’t tell, I’m a big fan of these.
So the customer support point – a few days ago one of my lights died – no light, no wifi, just dead. It wasn’t the power supply. When you try to set up a return from Amazon, they redirect you to the supplier. I normally hate this and was dreading it, but when I contacted Govee they gave me ideas to try within a day, and then when I tried them without any luck they sent me a replacement. I was back up and running within the week. What really surprised me was that they allocated one person to handle the issue all the way through, I wasn’t having to speak to a different person each time (thanks Suzy!). I felt so impressed that it was worth writing this review. To be clear – they didn’t ask me to write a review. I just think that great support like this deserves recognition so that companies that spend money on it see the benefit in customer loyalty. Thanks Govee!
I am a big fan of phillips hue and contemplated buying the phillips floor lamp till i saw this on offer at 30% off and it was a no brainer. I have not been disappointed. Excellent lamp for the money with loads of effects. Brilliant effect in the corner of my tv room. Despite what some say, I love the minimalist look even when switched off. While it doesn’t connect to the phillips eco system it is easy to control alongside using alexa. Love it!
Range of lights very good and intensities just what we were looking for. It is a little ugly when not is use so we have hidden it away in a corner.
Really happy with this light, very simple aesthetic, very easy to install, and the app – though overly complicated is also super flexible if you want to get picky with your colour themes. Works really well and considering getting more!

Easy to work with the controller but if you download the app it gives you fantastic control of colours with your phone or IPad
Well worth the money
You can use the (handily magnetic) remote for basic colours or use the app for more features (which there are loads, either preset scenes or you can mess around and make your own personalised colour displays).
It works with Google home so you can add it to a routine or voice activate (yet to try voice but routine works as it should, once registered on the Govee app).
Only thing of note is the assembly instructions and video available are not the same as the product in terms of the metal slot hole positions and the connecting parts but despite this (and once you’ve worked this out), it makes the assembly easier. Odd that they purposely included extra fixings though but again, this doesn’t distract from the assembly process as the instructions advise there are extras.
The product itself looks fantastic, well designed and put together and would recommend to anyone looking for a smart lamp with a little bit of extra sauce.
Would I buy again? Totally. Would I buy at full price? Seems a little self indulgent…
I have purchased a few Govee products now and I have been impressed with the build quality, features and their own ‘Govee Home’ app. The app itself isn’t as pretty or as polished as say the Philips Hue app — however it’s perfectly functional and works well.
The first thing on unboxing this floor-lamp is unpacking everything and then constructing it. Do study the instructions — it’s not particularly difficult to build, but you could easily get some of the parts back-to-front if you are not careful.
Once built, it’s time to switch on and pair with the ‘Govee Home’ app — although you do get an included remote with basic functionality and pre-sets if you do not wish to use the app. Last job is to pair with your Amazon account via the app for voice-control with Alexa and away you go!
All in all, this is a great product, it produces a fantastically bright, even light and the build quality and price feel fair for what you are getting functionality wise. I would happily purchase more Govee products in the future based on my experiences so far.
Assembly was a doddle. The app was easily set up with minimal effort and allows for enormous customisation. There is a collor pallet for every mood.

Well this light is good. Bright if required. Colours are great.app is ok but takes some trial and error.The assembly instructions are non existent. Thank goodness for YouTube. After one day I rate this as an 8 out of 10. Will up date my review after a week or so.

The faulty lamp was sent back and I had to re-order the replacement. Luckily the replacement has been working perfectly since receieving it and has been used for longer than the first one. The lamp looks good and now functions well. I now would recommend this product.

Initial review: Owned this Govee Lyra floor lamp for 3 days and had less than 5 hours usage. Looks great but it’s a shame it’s failed so quickly.
Was originally looking at the more expensive Hue Signe lamps as it could connect to my Ambilight TV but realised that Govee offered such a competitive price for something I would 90% use as a office mood lamp, this was a better option. It comes with many settings and the app is easy to use and control (also with Google Voice and Alexa commands).
This light is absolutely fantastic and gives a really nice warm light and adds colour to the room, all my visitors, friends and family have always commented on how lovely and modern the light looks, the app to control the light is also very feature rich and easy to use, you can also control the light using the Amazon echo.
