Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersJust to use a baseline model of standard dashcams I’m basing some if not most of my thoughts and comparisons to the IIWEY to the Nextbase 522GW.

    Quality 5/5
I noticed straight away that the build was a sturdy and well thought out designed dashcam if not better and lighter (Though lighter never usually means better) the compact design allows for great use of the USB C sockets and sockets for the rear camera. Although I’m surprised they didn’t go for a touchscreen feature for a product worth over 100.

    Settings and Setup – 4/5
I have this a 4 due to the layout and the navigation to get to the settings. I’m quite a technical person and for someone that’s not hands on with tech and wants something too much of a faf I’d say it was “Alright” compared to some of its competitors who run touchscreens.
Other than that it was a nice and easy step by step guide on setting it up.

The app however. I’ve used Nextbase and other manufacturer apps and I must say I’m impressed with how quick and responsive it is. Especially with downloading footage and the live viewing.

    Initial video test – 2/5
Only having tested it inside whilst it was plugged in whether it was truly a 4k video quality I was quite disappointed with how it came out through my phone.
I’ll wait till I can see it in action on the road for a full opinion.

Road test – Still pending and will be updated as I’m yet to install it on my car.

    Concerns and Critics –
I’m quite concerned with how light it is and the battery it has inside it. Makes me wonder how long it will last and the durability of it. I’ve left it to charge for a good hour or so to make sure it’s got a full life for when it’s installed.

Being a 3rd Party Brand that’s not well known it seems like a promising product with the right team and investment behind it I can see it being a successful product in the West. (Yes I said West as its a Chinese product) I’m hoping its not just going to be one of those “cheap knock off” buy cheap buy twice products.

Bought this dash cam thinking it was going to be bad quality and hard to use, but I was incredibly shock because this dash does everything I wanted a dash cam to do and it does it well honestly the front camera is really good quality and the rear is the best quality I have seen on a small rear camera, the GPS is accurate and the userinterface in easy to use on the camera and on the app.

I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great price and great dash cam.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy old dashcam was also an Iiwey and I was very pleased with that one. But I wanted something newer and better so gave this 4K one a go.
I’m very happy I did. Same sort of menu structure I’m used to. The wedge-like design means that it fits really compactly to the windscreen. The camera has a tilt on it so you can adjust it.
GPS is connected via a convenient dongle that also functions as power pass-through which keeps things nice and neat. The camera sensor is a novatek unit that records in H265 format so keeps file sizes nice and low, and you get a decent 64GB microSD card included in the box. You get a rear camera too.
Built-in wifi so you can get hold of your recordings via an app, and voice commands which work really, really well (much better than any other I’ve tried) so you don’t even have to fumble for buttons.
You get a really comprehensive set of accessories in the kit.
I am always super impressed by Iiwey products and this doesn’t disappoint. Good value for the features. Definitely worth considering.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI ordered this for my daughters first car – she is currently taking driving lessons and hasn’t passed her test yet, so it hasn’t had a lot of use but so far I’m impressed with it’s performance. The set up was very relatively simple and I’m really pleased it came with an SD card as many dont and you have to purchase separately.
The image quality is good and it has a lot of really good features.
I’m pleased I ordered it and it gives me peace of mind to know that she has her trips being recorded when she’s finally got her full license.

This is a fantastic dash cam. It can be mounted with ease and the quality is great too. It records with no issues and stores it on the SD card provided. No issues with it at all, I use it almost daily when I drive.

    In a nutshell:

    Things I liked:

+ Sleek design. Unobtrusive and nice big screen for reviewing footage.
+ Picture quality is very good, especially in 4K.
+ Installation is easy and hiding the wires, although time-consuming to get them under the trim, is not difficult to do with the tool.
+ Good quality rear camera also included – not the generic one that is often included with cheap dash-cams.
    + App works fine.

    Things I didn’t like:
    – Nothing especially.

    Do I recommend it?

Yes. The quality is great. you might want to look at getting a high-endurance MicroSD card (only 9 – https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07P3D6Y5B/) to replace the included one as you don’t want SD card failure to strike when you need it not to.

Firstly setting this up was a nightmare, trying to get wires positioned from the front to the back ensuring none of the kids or pets would be able to trip or tug the wires – but once set up it was a dream; voice activation and great resolution on the front camera, the rear camera records in 1080P FHD which is less quality but still clear to see number plates in case of an accident. I like that there is a memory card included, decent one too at 64GB- also the dashcam has a rolling feature that will constantly record over old useless footage so no need to delete it; it also has auto save if there is an accident or collision. There is a free app available but we havent set that up yet. After the initial set up im very happy overall with this dashcam, unfortunately its unavailable at the moment so i cant comment on price value.

I’m fortunate that my car has a USB port in its driver mirror otherwise the wires would be a nuisance (as with all dashcams) and haven’t used the back cam for that very reason.
Video quality, though, is very good, particularly at night time when it’s much better than I’ve seen before.
Feels good quality and a nice design so relatively unobtrusive when stuck to the window – so far it seems quite secure.
Big, big selling point, though, is its wireless ability – they should all have this as standard but this is the first one I’ve come across – hugely better than having to do everything with an sd card although you can if you want.
The Wi-Fi capability probably merits the price being asked and certainly a big step up from my previous webcam.

Was a lot smaller than it looks on the pictures. It’s good quality however and works well. It comes with front and back cameras and is powered via the cigarette lighter. The front camera is easy to install and the picture quality is good. The back camera’s picture quality is slightly less, but still good, but it does need a lot more work installing it as the wires have to be taken from the front to the back. It does come with a memory card included, so can be used more or less straight out of the box. A useful gadget to have recording whilst out in the car.

This dual camera dash cam doesn’t take long at all to set up, sorting out the wires is always a bit of a faff with dash cams but apart from that it’s been pretty easy to use. I like that the camera has quite a wide lens, it lets me capture more of the road and pavement when driving which is always a good thing! Night vision is decent too, inclusion of a 64GB SD card is nice and the app you can use with it is pretty good too

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe product arrived well packaged in a well-branded box.
I am impressed that this Dash Cam comes with a complete setup. You don’t need to buy anything separately.

    Rating:
    Quality & Design: 5/5
    Instructions: 5/5
    Installation process: 4/5
    Resolution: 5/5
    Performance: 4/5
    Price: 4/5

    Installation:
Starting with the setup, the product comes with a clear and user-friendly manual guide, making the installation process relatively straightforward. It comes with a 64GB SD card that is pre-inserted into the card slot, even though the protective film on the camera initially indicated 32GB. This was clarified after checking the card, which indeed turned out to be the 64GB variant.
( As demonstrated in the pictures).

    Quality & Design:
In terms of quality and design, this dash cam impresses with its top-notch build and user-friendly interface. Its compact size doesn’t obstruct the front screen view, which is a definite plus. The durable alloy body gives it a robust feel, and the 3-inch LCD screen ensures clear video playback.

    Performance:
So far so good. I find no issue with the product.
Performance-wise, it lives up to expectations. The camera’s resolution and video quality are impressive. The built-in WiFi and external GPS are valuable features, and the compatibility with memory cards ranging from 32GB to 256GB, with the latter requiring formatting on a computer, adds flexibility. The included 64GB SD card is a nice bonus.

Voice control adds a layer of convenience that’s hard to beat. Additionally, the 170 wide-angle lens and loop recording are ideal for capturing critical moments on the road. The inclusion of USB-C connectivity is a modern and welcome touch.

Overall, this dash cam offers a great blend of features and performance, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to enhance their car’s safety and document their journeys.
However, I would like to see lower price. For me it’s a bit on a pricy side.
A side from price, performance-wise, this 4K Dash Cam truly shines.

This IIWEY dashcam gives the option to record at 4k from the front camera and HD with the back camera.

The front camera is simple to install and will just take a few minutes however the back camera requires wiring to pass through the carpet and camera installation at the back of the car. I haven’t done that at the moment as just using the front camera.

The camera video quality is good including at night. Once installed it switches on automatically as soon I start the car, so I don’t need to do things once it’s installed.

Transferring the video can be done wirelessly or for old school just connect the memory card with your laptop or PC.

Overall a good quality product that does what it says.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality video recording

I got this dashcam to replace a previous cheap one. The camera quality and night vision is really good, even the rear camera quality is really good as well. The angle is quite wide and captures a lot of the road. It came with a SD card which is handy and can be used to record data while driving for safety. WIFI is okay but it still works and it is good because the data can be accessed on phone without laptop. The design is excellent and looks high end. This is an excellent dashcam and i am very satisfied with it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe dash cam has front and rear cameras, so it offers good value.
Trying to hide the wires is the hardest part when fitting it, the set up was easier than I expected.
Video is clear and you can read car number plates, which is important if you’re involved in an accident where the other person doesn’t stop.
The wide angle lens covers footage of multiple lanes.
I like the option to view footage via an app, it’s much better than using the dash cam screen or removing the SD card and transferring it to a PC.
    Great for the price.
Hope you found my review helpful

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersVery good images both from front and back and very easy to exchange views. Simple to install and everything in the kit that you should need. I would advise sticking the front camera holder stickers and mount on the windscreen and leave for 48 hours before mounting the camera itself. The 3M instructions tell you to do this but these instructions are not included

I recently received this 4K Dash Cam with Front and Rear Cameras, and I couldn’t be happier with this product its outstanding features and performance.

First and foremost, the video quality is exceptional. The 4K resolution ensures crystal-clear footage, and the 170 wide-angle lens captures a broad view of the road, providing a comprehensive perspective of my surroundings. Even at night, the Super Night Vision technology ensures that I can see everything clearly, making me feel safer on the road.

The inclusion of a free 64GB SD card is a generous bonus, ensuring that I have ample storage space for my recordings. The loop recording feature seamlessly overwrites old footage, so I never have to worry about running out of space.
The voice control feature is a game-changer, allowing me to operate the dash cam hands-free, which enhances safety while driving. The external GPS accurately tracks my location and speed, providing crucial data in case of an accident.

The durable alloy body feels sturdy and well-built, and the 3-inch LCD screen is easy to navigate. The built-in WiFi allows for convenient video playback and sharing via the dedicated app.

This is surprisingly quick & easy to figure out. Trust me that if someone as clueless as me can set this up with zero issues, then I think anyone can.

I’ve removed a star because the sound & vision isn’t as clean & crisp as our neighbours similar set-up, and the wires are a bit annoying – but for something well under 200 & that is easily self-fitted, we are highly impressed by this.
