I’ve never had dermaplaning done. I googled how to do it. Short wispy movements with the razor at 45 angle going the way the hair grows. My first round was a success, no cuts! I can’t wait to continue.
Love this tool. I used to pay $40 a month to get my eyebrows waxed. This tool is just as effective and I can keep my brows fresh in minutes from my bathroom. I also use it to get take care of those stubborn baby hairs on my upper lip and chin. My makeup looks better and skin care absorbs easier.
I bought this because I started laser hair removal and I cannot wax anymore. I have a bunch of peach fuzz and also super thick patches of hair. These razors do their job and are very effective. I don’t have to press into my skin, and just glide the razor over my skin. I have really sensitive skin and cannot risk pressing to hard into my skin as it might cause acne or cuts. These razors work great and even target the finest peach fuzz without me having to apply any pressure.
My only pet peeve is that the edges of the razor are shaped weirdly and sometimes pull on your hair. I’ve noticed that this is only for coarse hair. I believe that might be due to the razors not being made for that type of hair. However, they still do the job.
Blending my foundation has never been easier.
I’ve always been that person that says “I don’t have facial hair I don’t need it” and then proceeded to shed more from my face than my dog would. Yikes.
But now my foundation goes on super smooth, and I feel like I’m actually using less product. Super easy to use.
I have 48 years worth of ‘peach fuzz’ on my face and have oily skin. I like a mat finish foundation, but my makeup tends to melt off my face over the course of the day. I also notice that I am getting discoloration and fine lines faster than before. My daughter recommended dermaplaning to help my facial care and makeup adhere to my skin better. She recommended this product based on her continuous use of this item. This is my first purchase of a dermaplaner. I ordered and received 12 dermaplane tools enclosed in a resealable package.
The tool was comfortable to hold and easily adjusted in my hand to maneuver to get my intended areas. In a matter of minutes I had completely dermaplaned my face and was please to see how much fuzz it had removed.
I cleaned the tool with micellar water to use again in the future.
I am pleased to say that I do feel my face products are adhering to my skin better now and my makeup stays on longer over time.
***I also used this dermaplaner to shave my 19yr old son’s unibrow and lightly shape his overgrown eyebrows. It worked quickly and was easier to control exactly where I wanted to address unlike an electric tool.
I will continue to use this product and recommend to others.
First time using a beauty blade, I did not know this was a serrated style. I have used a straight blade on my face before and was hoping a beauty blade could provide more agility and closer detail. I found the blade easy to hold in my hand, although ‘pointy’ but the serrated edge was very challenging to get used to and felt like it was scraping. I am FAIR skinned with sensitive issues. I watched several videos before I attempted use and followed instructions with cleanser, exfoliation and preparation. After using the blade, I found my skin a bit flaky for two days after then my skin seem to adapt, and become very smooth which allowed wonderful penetration of facial serum, moisturizer, Diminishing my need for foundation and primer. My mind is not quite made up but I’m going to use the blade again to see the results and I will report back. I will use very small strokes in smaller areas next time. So far so good but be cautious and definitely follow process for cleaning / skin prep best practices and do not reuse the blade . Also, skin continued to flake for a few days after first use which at first was alarming but actually was part of the shedding process.
Edited: Using small strokes, in very small areas at a time, is the key. Prep & post care is vital – These are very good tools and will keep using them as the results have created a very nice finish to my skin, looking healthier and brighter.
Most grateful for a tool and technique I can use between facial wax appointments that is very affordable.
I struggle with hormone imbalance, so I tend to have a noticeable amount of facial hair. This product is a god-send! It allowed me to achieve that same smooth wax look without having to spend on frequent waxing.
Just wash your face and take your time and do small downward strokes at a 45 degree angle and you’ll be fine. The technique is important to prevent cuts or bruises
I’ve been paying $50+ for spa dermaplane, and by buying these (which are really well made), I can do it myself much more regularly. I did use face oil beforehand to prepare my skin. Since I’ve had dermaplane done before, I knew to pull the skin taut and use short strokes. Advantage of dermaplane: peach fuzz is gone, makeup goes on smoother, and serums can penetrate better.
These product is great for removing fine peach fuzz on our faces and leaves your skin feeling so smooth.. I get a quite a few uses with one, very useful product!!
