Ideal product to match up with the rest of my pc lights.
Sound very good for the price better than a lot of the more expensive ranges.
Voice and microphone work well when gaming or just voice control of pc.
Easy to use pnp and are not really heavy to get on your nerves.
Overall a product at a very reasonable price without breaking the bank.
This is a great gaing headset which I’ve really enjoyed using! The headset comes in a box, and inside the box is a plastic bag which holds the headset and other items. All the items in the bag are in a further drawstring bag though, and once you take everything out you have the headset, an extra cable for plugging into a PC and instructions which come in various different languages. The instructions are easy to understand and come with diagrams too, but oh how small the text is! You’ll need to be happy reading tiny letters (which I am able to) or getting a magnifying glass if you want to read this more easily.
The headset comes with the microphone attached on the left and wearing this is super comfortable for me. The headset can of course be adjusted to your head size, but once wearing this it felt so comfortable, the ear pads on either size being the right fit to make this really comfortable to wear without feeling like it’s too tight or anything. This is important if you are going to be wearing this for a long time.
Coming from one side of the headset you have a corded cable which leads to a small switch where you can adjust the volume level of the sound entering the headset and also turn the microphone on and off. Leading from this cable is the cable to plug into your devices and the cable is soon split into two, with one cable having a usb A end and the other your typical 3.5mm end. There is an additional cable that you can plug the 3.5mm end into and this cable then splits the single signal into two – one headphone cable and the other a microphone cable for use with a PC. For other devices the main 3.5mm cable is enough. The instructions show you what to plug in where and I’ve tested this both on my laptop and a mobile phone.
The sound coming from this is brilliant. There’s such a good bass, which you want if you are playing videogames. I found the sound was really good quality, the bass really good and the sound very clear. It had a good stereo sound to it too and I was very happy, though it did feel like it was a fraction less clear than it was bassy (if you know what I mean). However this could just be the fact I’ve gotten used to inferior speakers of late, lol, so the sound is I believe very good.
The usb cable lights up the lights on the headset. On either side of the ear cups you can see an outline of lights, when the usb cable is plugged in, which scroll through red, green and blue, slowly changing between all three colours. The microphone also gains a blue light on the outside of it when the usb is plugged in. I’m not personally bothered about whether my headset lights up as I can’t even see it unless I start streaming my gaming in future, but it’s a nice feature nonetheless.
The only problems I’ve encountered with this headset has been fitting the 3.5mm jack correctly. If you pull the cable at all by accident or just tug it a little too much this can suddenly make the sound start coming from one ear only (the left one for me) rather than both. You just need to make sure the connection is secure otherwise the sound will be weird. But other than that this is a good quality gaming headset and one that is very comfortable for me to use.
Performance for the price is perfectly fine. They’re comfy though as with most over ear headphones can hurt after a while if you wear glasses. LED lighting is cool but you have to unplug the USB to turn them off. Difficult if you’re using a rear port on a PC!
I got this headset for my 11 year old son to go with his gaming pc he had for Christmas and he absolutely loves them!!! They are absolutely fantastic quality, very sturdy, lightweight and look brilliant. His friends have all nagged their parents for some for themselves !! They are very comfortable to wear with plenty of padding in the ears, the volume is very good quality and easily adjustable on the wire which is handy, the mike is brilliant and means he isn’t yelling for his friends to hear him which gives me some peace and quiet too!!! Love the lights which definitely make them look even better!!! Would definitely recommend and excellent value for money. Would make a brilliant birthday or Christmas gift or even a valentine’s gift.
The Krysenix PG2 RGB Gaming Headset is good quality and feel nice and sturdy so should last my son a while ( he goes through alot f gaming headsets). They have good padding for the ears and around the top so doesn’t hurt when wearing them. You can control the volume or even mute it on the control on the plug in wire. The sound quality is very good and he can hear his game and friends well. The mic works well he doesn’t seem to shout as much when talking to his friends, so they obviously hear him better than they did with his previous pair. The led lights are a nice added extra not that my son takes much notice of them lol.
Overall my son is very happy with the headset, so definitely recommended
Has a nice feel and overall use on the head in regards to comfort and sound quality both receiving and talking.
Krysenix PG2 RGB Gaming Headset for PS4/PC/Xbox/Nintendo Switch, PS5 Headset
Arrived in box showing the other colour combinations available and taking out of the box brings a surprise that its in its own travel bag which is a handy thing to have. The headphones were further wrapped in another plastic bag to keep them clean.
An extra cable was supplied that allows the connection to older systems that need separate headphone and mic ports.
The USB cable is for the lights only therefore would need to be aware this cable will float around if you don’t plug this in.
On calls, the headset provided very good microphone pick up and clear for others to hear. Sound quality was very good and with the ear cushions going around the ear, you can be shutoff from the world and not hear the doorbell when playing a game or middle of a call.
The LED lights are just a sort of off or on mode and will rotate through the colours as seen in the photos. They do appear through the earpiece (in photo) so you can have an effect on your face when lifting them off or having them around your neck.
The instructions are clear to read and slight concern they are “Protein” earmuffs…. I would say leather effect myself but ..protein is a new one on me.
The downside is the microphone light that is a single blue colour. This unfortunately makes it unsuitable for direct face on calls as it makes you look like you are snipinglaser focused on someone as it reflects off the lens and into the call. As seen in the attached photo, the blue light appears as a target….and in my case made it appear in my forehead (where the red card is). If the light was more on the inside, might provide a better effect but for me, online use with LEDs is not a good experience.
Overall, if this was given to someone, they would think its a very good quality headset that provides good sound and microphone use…with its own travel bag…and if inclined to add to their PC customization, the LEDs gives an extra boost to their setup.
At just under sixteen pounds currently, these headphones are excellent value. While I wouldn’t choose to listen to music on them , they are fine for gaming, especially in their budget. They have enough bottom end for explosions and are clear in the upper mids for voice. The lower mids are muffled but this might open up with more use. The mic is actually very good. I did a FaceTime call in them and my gf said they sounded fine.
For the price they are pretty durable , the headband having a piece of metal running through it , and it is surrounded in an almost rubber like band which is actually a durable bit of plastic , but not the brittle type that snaps. That is very good in this price range.
The outside of the cups has a metal mesh and the underside of the band is memory foam, and feels very comfortable on your head. The ear cups are memory foam , and do get hot after a while, but seal well and are very comfortable. The bendable mic is durable and easy to position. In short they are built incredibly well for the cost.
The lead is a weave and you get an extension for a two port audio connection, mic and headphones on your pc. Curiously when I tested them via a usb hub on my iPad Air I only got a mono signal in both ears for some reason, but with my ps5 they were fine.
The RGB is only relevant for pc really as it is powered by a usb A cable that breaks out from the audio lead. There is normally one near by on PC , but with them plugged into a console controller you don’t have anything to plug the RGB into, save a power bank , which isn’t practical.
I was pleasantly surprised how well built these were for the money , and while they are not that great sounding , the lower mids being muffled , they are ok for gaming.
Recommended.
