This label printer was easy to set up, after downloading the app to my android phone it found and connected the printer quickly via bluetooth. Once the label has been designed on the phone, it gets sent to the printer to make a label. The app has a lot of options and templates, and you can even try printing photos, although the results are variable depending on the contrast of the photo. Its great for making larger labels for storage jars etc, when a smaller label printer might not produce something easy to read for a distant shelf etc. It is also great for children, for adding to craft work and scrap booking – as the range of ideas and creativity seems endless. You could even print out a special to do list for a child to complete in order to earn an extra special reward
My biggest concern is the availability and cost of replacement label rolls, so I suggest doing some research into the replacement labels before you buy. There seems to be only one brand that fits correctly, and no alternatives, so do look out for promotions if you are cost-conscious. Also, when you think about the cost per label produced, you might end up restricting your use away from some of the more throw-away ideas.
The one feature I would really like to see would be the ability to print from other apps such as google print, so I can design a bach of labels with a different tool and just print on the label printer. Unfortunately the manufacturer has locked this down to just print from the app, so that is not an option.
I cannot fault the product as sold, certainly not enough to reduce a star, so this gets five stars from me. If you think you will use it alot, consider factoring in the cost of replacement labels.
This Portable Label Maker is a compact and lightweight handheld device designed for creating and printing personalized labels for various uses really useful for crafters who like to add a little personalised touch.
Labels are easily designed on the phone app which is compatible with both iOS and Android devices and can be conveniently controlled through the app using Bluetooth connectivity.
Great little produc
I got a cute lilac version of this LabelCreate T02 Mini Thermal Printer and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of printouts and versatility of the device. You can print photos from your phone, tablet or laptop and the accompanying app allows you to crop, position, rotate, resize and generally manipulate your images contrast and brightness etc before printing. As well as being almost a mini version of Photoshop, the app includes stock pictures and templates you can add your own text to.
The quality of the thermal printer is good enough for printing things like line drawings and the stickers included in the app, but photos come out with a grainy quality which is to be expected from such a small device using thermal print technology. Think sending photos via fax back in the day and you will know what I mean.
To use the printer you just turn it on, press pair with your phone over Bluetooth and it is ready to go!
The included 3x rolls of thermal paper come as a continuous roll, so you print your sticker and then tear it off using the small serrated edge on the printer. Being a thermal printer there is no need to worry about the cost of ink cartridges. The thermal paper rolls are easy to load, and the prints come out crisp and clear.
This is one of them items that you dd isn’t know you needed untill you have it! I got this for my daughter to use with her iPad and she loves this. She has flown through the three included rolls of paper. Not because there isn’t much but because she has had so much fun with it. She’s been printing pictures of her and her brother and friends and been using the 1000s of templates included in the app. This has been a source of great fun for them both. This has also been useful for myself and we have used this to print sticky labels for labelling network ports, electrical switches, to do lists and QR codes to pop around the house for stuff like joining the work network. I’m shocked at just how handy this is. Coupled with the fact that there is no ink required and replacement. Labels are fairly cheap this is a must have item in our house now for both fun and practicality. Connect’s straight away with no issues. Having seen how useful this is I think the price is great and would not think twice about purchasing this again if required.
The quality of the thermal print is really good for printing things like line drawings and the pre-made sticker images from the app. Text is pretty good too.
Photos are quite grainy, but I think for the price point it is OK. You can play with the contrast and brightness of photos in the Phomemo app to try and make pictures print a bit clearer.
The app is pretty good. You literally just turn it on, press pair with your phone over bluetooth and its ready to go.
You can easily print photos off your phone, or just images from the internet and the app allows to crop, reposition, rotate and resize the images before printing. There is also a lot of preloaded pictures, and templates to add text into.
The thermal paper is a continuous roll, so you print your sticker and then tear it off using the small serrated edge on the printer. It was very simple to install, the the manual shows a picture of the correct orientation.
I recently added the LabelCreate T02 Mini Sticker Printer to my collection of creative tools, and it has quickly become an indispensable companion for various tasks. Here’s why I’m delighted with this pocket-sized wonder:

The compact and lightweight design of the LabelCreate T02 makes it incredibly portable. It fits right into my pocket, making it convenient to carry wherever I go. Whether I’m at home, in the office, or on the move, this printer is ready to bring my ideas to life.
2. Wireless Connectivity:
The wireless Bluetooth functionality of this printer adds a layer of convenience to the printing process. I can effortlessly connect it to my smartphone or tablet, eliminating the need for tangled cables. Setting up the connection is straightforward, and I appreciate the freedom it offers.
3. Inkless Thermal Printing:
The inkless thermal printing technology is a game-changer. No need to worry about ink cartridges or messy refills. The thermal paper rolls are easy to load, and the prints come out crisp and clear. This feature not only saves on ongoing costs but also minimizes environmental impact.
4. Versatile Applications:
From creating custom stickers for my planner to printing quick to-do lists, the LabelCreate T02 excels in versatility. It’s perfect for labeling items, making educational flashcards, or even adding a personal touch to gifts. The possibilities are endless, and the printer seamlessly adapts to various creative needs.
5. Kid-Friendly Doodle Dash:
One standout feature is the Doodle Dash function, which allows my kids to unleash their creativity. They love drawing directly on the thermal paper and watching their doodles come to life as stickers. It’s a fantastic way to keep them engaged in a screen-free, imaginative activity.
Great little printer to use with your phone, especially useful as it prints on shiny adhesive backed paper so you can use the prints as stickers. Download the app (instructions included), switch printer into pairing mode (simply by turning on) and connect via the app. The app is especially useful as not only is it easy to navigate but allows a certain degree of photo editing prior to printing (crop/colour etc). At the point you print you can also select the degree of print intensity (how dark you want it) which while noticeable doesn’t really have a huge effect on end outcome. Comes with USB charger, three rolls of paper two of which are coloured which do last, replacement paper isn’t too expensive. Very easy to operate, battery lasts for ages. Simple yet fun printer with so many uses. Totally recommended. See photos for print quality.
Compact sticker printer. Comes with three spools to get started and ready to go out the box, once you install the stickers!
First thing I printed was a photo, while it came out nice the resolution is low, reminds me very much of the old game boy thermal printer.
On the app you can create all sorts of lists, scan text from a photo, print actual photos or screenshots. It also has greeting card inserts, banners, rulers that you can adjust in length print documents of various formats.
It seemed like a product almost aimed towards children, but with all the functions the printer has a handy place in the house.
Uses so far
Spice mixes stick it on the bottle and then next time I don’t have to look up what is in it.
QR codes for WiFi password
QR codes for websites
Business card that you can stick down for people to photo.
To do lists
I chose this item to review as I always have alot of stuff to mail, or packages to send back and organising them sometimes ends up with a muddle when it comes time to scan items or find the right address at the post office/ delivery store. This works really well for that! No more muddles at the shop trying to search my phone for where I saved the QR codes or the different addresses. I have already stuck a little print-out on each item – so each item is easy to identify quickly.
The printing quality is surprisingly decent!! I was really impressed actually! The app isn’t spectacular, but it’s reasonable to use. One good thing is that you don’t need to sign up with email or anything like that – which is great, I hate giving out my email just to use a bluetooth device and often stop using a product/ send it back if they want to gather my email/data! So, a great 5* stars to this printer app software for not needing my email/ details! One small suggestion for the app devs of the Phenomo) software would be to allow rotating of the app on tablets.. it opens up sideways by default, so it’s probably easier to use on a phone vs a tablet (constantly turning my tablet sideways), but I’m faster at working on a larger tablet. A small complaint though.
As someone else noted, the refill cartridges are a slightly different size to other brands, so that might be a consideration for some consumers.
Tips for usen (not a complaint – a user tip!): I did have a few problems at first – you need make sure that the paper is inserted with the white grooves correctly aligned to the slots on the side. You can accidentally put them in incorrectly, which means that it fits in, but doesn’t close 100% properly nor print properly. But, once you identify this user error you’ll never put the paper in incorrectly again. :). So, if it seems that yours won’t close properly – take out the roll, look at the shapes on the side of the white plastic inserts and line those up correctly – it will work and print properly thereafter!
Summary, a good product, works as intended, surprisingly good printing – QR codes print well & can be scanned at a store from these little printouts. If they could improve the app with a few tweaks, it could become my ‘random surprisingly awesome product of the year’! 5 star rating from me!
This is a neat little Phomemo printer – I’ve heard about these mini-printers and debated for a while before getting one whether I would actually use it.
The printer itself is a compact device that would easily slip into a handbag, and the adhesive paper rolls are simple to install. To use the printer, the custom Phomemo software is readily available free through the Google Play store and downloaded and installed on my Samsung phone with no issues; and is fairly intuitive to use with plenty of templates. In terms of use: well, anything that needs a label is a candidate! I make preserves, and can use this for labelling them; I’m working my way through my various sets of storage drawers replacing the existing tatty labels with some that are clearer to read, and a friend who’s doing a bake sale has asked me to do labels for the cakes and biscuits. The stickers peel and stick readily, and according to the listing will last years – I’ll update this review if there are any issues with fading.
Replacement rolls of paper are readily available, although it pays to check reviews about whether they fit the printer.
At the price (41.25 with a 20% discount so 33 at time of writing) it’s not cheap, but if you need one of these mini printers, this is a good option.
I am very satisfied with this thermal printer. I did not know what to expect but I was surprised by how easy to use it is and how the quality of the prints is very decent.
In terms of installation, it couldn’t be easier, I just had to install an application (which didn’t require an account, a very positive point!), turn the printer on, and I was able to print right away. This was a great surprise as I expected to struggle with the app.
The app allows you to print a wide variety of content, from your own photos to web pages, but also notes, labels, etc. and it comes with a lot of templates for todo lists and such.
Regarding the print quality, I was also happily surprised with the result. Provided that you select the right paper type (I used “Dedicated” which I assume means the one that comes with the printer) it will print great and even photos are very recognizable.
Lastly the printer is small and very portable, it can be nice to carry on vacations or for a kid to bring to school even.
In summary, great product, very happy with it!
The one i got came with just a sample roll, which is a shame. I wish i had more roll to work with. I have had trouble finding rolls to fit since.
You can find a lot of rolls that SAY they are 53mm but are actually 57mm and do not fit the printer. You do actually need a roll that is completely 53mm including the outer roll, not just the sticker. The only people i have seen selling such a size is the Phomemo themselves. Fortunately the rolls are not that pricey.
I have however found this particular app to be not very intuitive to use and was getting very frustrated. Maybe in time i will get used to it. But i have used the print master app for another of Phomemo label printers and found it fabulous to use, but the app for this label printer is just called Phomemo and it really is a chore to try to use it and doesn’t have a whole lot of designs and selections available to use like the print master app does to use.
What is provided though is easy to use once you get used to it. The instructions are NOT easy to follow. They tell you to put the paper in printer side up. What this means is beyond me because they do not tell you which side is “Up” Needless to say, i put the paper in the wrong way the first time and the first time i tried to print something it all went crumpled and chewed itself up a bit. I spun it around and it worked a treat the second time with no issues.
The labels and stickers it prints are beautiful and easy to read when you take the time to select things and really take time to design something perfect. The labels stand up to a lot of fiddling as well. I’ve been using them to organise my shelves and boxes on the shelves so i know what is in what box without having to look.
This is a nice little compact printer for home, or mobile use
There’s a USB-C cable in the box for charging, but that’s not needed in use as the printer has an internal battery and connects to the phone via bluetooth.
I tested it with an iPhone and had no problems connecting instantly once I’d downloaded the free app from the store.
Printing is almost silent and only takes a couple of seconds, the print quality is crisp and clear.
The print width of 50mm by any length is a useful size, and there are loads of templates to get you started in the app, but usefully it will cope with files in most popular formats, including word and PDF, so it will be easy to print documents or images from your device’s storage.
My only real grip with the package as supplied it that the printeris described as ‘printer + paper’ but for clarity, it only comes with a very small sample size roll of sticker paper, smaller than shown in the description, which I thought was a bit disingenuous. They could have at least included a whole roll of labels to get you started so I’ve marked it down a star as I think that’s a shame.
As a thermal printer though, you can get inexpensive replacement rolls from many different sources and won’t be tied into one particular brand, so that’s a bonus.
So all told, a great quality, flexible little printer for all kinds of uses, but be prepared to order some extra rolls right away or you’re going to run out of labels pretty quickly.
This is my first time using one of these printers and I am quite impressed. In my opinion, the print quality is best suited to simple graphics (as per top image) as photographic images are not that sharp – printer image of Cooper the Crested Gecko (bottom image) shown against the original colour photo for reference.
You need to download the Phomemo APP to get the printer to communicate with your mobile wirelessly via Bluetooth. I found connecting the printer to my mobile very straightforward but have experienced issues with the App not allowing me to access any of the templates, it keeps telling me I have no internet connection which I know is not the case, so I have not been able to use the printer to its full capability.
I realise that I will need to purchase additional rolls of paper but it is a shame that the printer arrives with only a sample size roll.
This thermal printer from LabelCreate seems to be the same as the Phomemo TO2 model and uses the same non-standard thermal paper with the printing side on the OUTSIDE of the roll, so you can’t use the more common cheap 50mm thermal paper available for about 1 a roll (3.5m). The supplied roll with this review model was a “sample” about 2m long which will give about 20 prints (each print is 10cm), you can see from the attached photos it really is quite a small roll. To use the printer you need to download the Phomemo app from Google or Apple stores and then connect via Bluetooth. I had quite a bit of difficulty getting the app to connect, after several failed attempts I then just paired manually in my Android phone’s Bluetooth settings, then the app seemed to be able to find the printer, although it seems quite slow at times, constantly connecting to the internet, maybe this was for updates or maybe my internet was having issues, I hope it will be a smoother experience in future. There are many example images to choose from (once they get downloaded from the internet), I printed an anatomy label and the month of January (quite useful actually) as you can see in the attached photos. The prints are perfectly readable but not the high quality you get from inkjets and laser printers, good enough for labels, small diagrams and notes. Children will probably enjoy using this printer as you can print all sorts of fun images and even photos (medium resolution) and the printer is small enough to carry in a bag. Standard rolls seem to be about 3.5m allowing 35 prints and cost about 10 for 3 rolls, so heavy use would be expensive.
The printer is certainly more versatile than the old-style label printers you can buy which just print text, so can print more complex and detailed labels, but my guess is this printer would be used more for fun among children, sharing photos and images with their friends and siblings. Which isn’t a bad thing at all, just be prepared to fork out 10 or so for 3 new rolls of paper every time they run out.
I’ve been wanting one of these for a while now — and wish I got one sooner — this worked straight out of the box after downloading the “Phomemo” app — which has a fair few template, but also allows for custom documents and image uploads too.
I’m impressed with the print quality and have had no issues with jamming or overheating after wrapping this years Christmas Presents and sticking labels on them.
Included in the box are three sticker rolls with different colours and a USB A to USB C charging cable.
My only concern is the size of the sticker rolls — it seems there isn’t a lot of “T02” and a lot of confusing information online about what does and doesn’t fit.
