Bought this for my wife as a gift for Easter, after she saw it in the lego store. Instructions are straightforward as they always are. Decent size completed model, she has it on display. Good Lego quality, as expected. Makes a fun talking piece.
I bought this for my 8 year old daughter and she loves the Lego Creator range as there is more than one thing you can build with the pieces so it definitely makes it More fun and value for money. Lego is just brilliant quality and this range is so colourful and fun. Perfect rainy day activity.
This is a great 3 in 1 Lego creator set arrived in an attractive presentation in own cardboard box, well packed and safe with no damages, inside the its the Lego pieces all in individual bags and with clear step by step instructions easy to follow, great quality easy to clip the Lego pieces together, bright and colorful colors, nice level of details, smooth and shiny surface also no sharp edges , well made and 3 option to build your favorite one, always can build and rebuild, great idea for a rainy afternoon to spend on a nice and creative activity.
This is a fantastic, retro inspired build.
There are 3 possible builds, but only the rollerskate uses 99% of the bricks and is the most fun to build.
You can also also alternate the design on the rear of the slate to a cloud and rainbow, or stripes.
A relatively simple build, but a lot of fun
The skateboard and boom box also looks great, but I definitely prefer the skate
The skate looks great on display
I recently got the LEGO Creator 3in1 Retro Roller Skate set for my daughter to try out, and it’s been a positive experience so far. What we liked about it most is the ability to construct three different pop culture icons using the same bricks – a retro roller skate, a mini skateboard, and a boom box radio. This makes the set feel good value.
We also liked that each model has movable features; the roller skate comes with four pink rolling wheels, which adds some fun to the set.
Overall, a really nice set. 5/5
The Lego Creator 3in1 Retro Roller Skate to Mini Skateboard Toy to Boom Box Radio is a fantastic set that offers a lot of creativity and playability for kids aged 8 and above. This set is perfect for those who love both building and imaginative play.
First and foremost, the quality of the Lego pieces is exceptional, as expected from the brand. The build itself is quite enjoyable, with clear instructions that are easy to follow. The set allows you to create three different models – a retro roller skate, a mini skateboard, and a boom box radio. The fact that it can transform into three different toys is a huge bonus, as it extends the playtime and adds variety to the experience.
The attention to detail in each of the models is impressive. Whether it’s the intricate design of the roller skate, the realistic features of the skateboard, or the nostalgic feel of the boom box radio – every piece is well thought out. Additionally, the color scheme of the set is vibrant and eye-catching.
This has proven really popular in our house, building some of the other suggestions on the box! Everything you’d expect from Lego, well packaged, clear instructions, plenty of alternative building options – it really is the case that the only limit to this set is your imagination! Keeps the kids busy while building them and then for hours while playing, breaking and rebuilding something else. Brilliant!
I think I have died and gone to Lego heaven. This set is amazing. Honestly this is the most fun that I have had building a Lego set. To start with it is part of the 3 in 1 Lego Creator collection, where they give you 3 things to build. The instructions as always are super simple to follow and you get a printed guide which shows you how to build all three items as well as the option to use an interactive guide.
My daughter and I absolutely love this roller skate LEGO set! It can turn into a mini skateboard with four functioning wheels or a cool boom box radio with an antenna. I like the roller skate version because it has four pink wheels she can use, and it arrived at just the right time when she’s learning to roller skate.. Plus, it looks super cool and can be placed on a shelf or put on display. You get 342 pieces in this set and these pieces can be built and rebuilt over and over again. I’m a big fan of this set!
The box says 8+, and of course it can be assembled by kids 8+, but really it’s for us 40-somethings who remember the 80s. It’s a fun fairly quick build, but my favourite detail by far are the laces. They just look epic. Like one of the other reviewers, I’m tempted to buy a second to build the tape deck / boom box.
5 stars – I love it
4 stars – I like it
3 stars – It’s ok
2 stars – I don’t like it
1 star – I hate i
This Lego set most certainly brings me back to the 80/90’s when i used to go to roller disco’s and so this really caught my eye. It is a fairly easy set to build with only 320 pieces so ideal if you are new to lego like myself and haven’t completed a set for years, i forgot how much fun it is!! The instructions as expected are really easy to follow step by step and if the roller boot isn’t for you then you can always build the boom box or skateboard depending on your preference. Keep up the good work Lego, can’t wait to see more retro sets in the future.
I love the colourway nostalgia of the 80s and 90s of this set.
Did the mistake of building the skate first. It took a casual 2.5 hours for an adult, but then wanted the boom box. A lot of the connector pieces for the laces are almost nearly impossible to take out. They clip into the hole and just won’t come back out.
Personal advice, build the skate last. The skate uses almost all the pieces, apart from the spare design choice for the heel of colours or rainbow and cloud. There are a few handfuls left from the boom box.
The boom box took just over an hour, and measures just under 14cm wide, 8.5cm high including the handle, once complete. The skate is slightly larger.
Bear in mind that if you want to display all 3, you’ll need 3 sets. You can only build one at a time.
I was missing 1 piece from the heel/curved edge of the stereo, but Lego’s customer service made it extremely easy to order a replacement. Thankfully, both can be completed without it and it’s not obvious.
