This was easy enough to build but also challenging at points. The instructions were very clear and nothing missing from the box. Definitely good value considering it is a well known brand and the pieces are very qualitative.

This is actually listed for ages nine plus however my grandson who is seven this year has been building Lego kits for a few years now and since he also loves dinosaurs I ordered this for him.

On opening, this kit comes with everything you would expect from a first class building kit including detailed instructions and most importantly no missing parts, lol.

My grandson did require a little help during this build but most of it was done by him on his own initiative. Once finished this makes for a great shelf top model or bedroom decoration and is of a Tyrannosaurus skeleton head along with a nice looking stand incorporating a foot print and plaque.

Another terrific kit from Lego and a joy to build.

This Lego set is great, it’s fairly easy to follow the instructions and the result looks great. It’s a bit fragile once finished as the flowers pop off fairly and if tipped over it’s very top heavy. There’s a lot of detail such as a piece of amber with a mosquito in which you can only see from behind.

My son is mad on Jurassic park at the moment and when I saw this I knew he would love it. What I like about this one is, it’s not just a set to play with and put away. It’s something you can build together and have presented on a shelf. Although it looks like a small set, it does come with a lot of pieces and putting it together was quite tricky. My 8 year old son needed a bit of help but the instructions that came with the set were quite good, just have to focus when you are building it. Fantastic set overall, great quality as always from Lego and well worth the money !

I bought this for myself as I am both a huge lego fan and jurassic park fan. So glad I did, worth every penny, really great little build, doesn’t take long to do but it’s really interesting to watch it come together and looks great on display. 🙂

Got this to occupy my grandson when he comes to stay and he loved it. So did his Dad, my Son. He loved helping his boy put it together and to be honest I think he would have appreciated it even without the excuse of his Son. Rather cute to see them both so absorbed in building the Dino, haha.

If your child loves Dinosaurs then they will love this. It’s quite substantial and has everything needed to build with good instructions. Looks quite impressive when it was finished. I think this is really good value for money and will keep kids (and adults!) occupied for hours.

I’m an (adult) Jurassic Park fan and am so happy with this set! It’s everything you’d expect from LEGO, easy to follow instructions and good quality pieces. This was quite simple to build and would be suitable for a much younger fan to put together. The overall piece is nice and was enjoyable to put together, but it’s not something I’ll be keeping out on display, especially the footprint part (the skull is much more fun!)

As a fan of the Jurassic Park/World movies this was an absolutely fantastic set to build. As in traditional with LEGO, the pictorial based instructions were extremely easy to follow not only from the booklet provided but also the option to download a PDF from the main LEGO website allowing the instructions to be used on a Tablet device allowing more options to zoom in closer for a more closer and detailed look.

This was really fun to build, it took less than a couple of hours to put together and it just looks amazing, the satisfaction as the skull came together was a particular highlight. Assembly was straight forward thanks to the high quality of machined pieces and easy to follow instructions, as you can see the final results make this a fantastic set for any fan of the franchise with a really pleasing easy on the budget price point.

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant fun to build

As an adult fan of Lego, this set is hard to resist, and at a price to piece ratio of 6p a part, its also good value. At 34.99 for a fair sized display piece, its a bargain.

This set provides a good mid-point between the younger playsets and expensive sets targeted at adults, and appears to be the start of a good trend which see’s the Lego company making more lower priced display sets that appeal to both groups.

The build itself uses plenty of advanced techniques that will stretch a younger builder and contains some interesting pieces that I’ve not owned before.

As an adult this is a great evenings building experience and looks good on my office shelf. I’m sure it would also brighten up the bedroom of a younger Lego fan.

Who doesn’t love lego? I always enjoyed it as a child, and since I’ve had my own children, I’ve continued to enjoy helping to build various pieces over the years.
Saying that, whatever your age, building lego kits is always an enjoyable and quite therapeutic past time, so I’ve never thought of lego as purely for kids.

This particular set is both interesting and unusual – perfect for anyone with an additional interest in the Jurassic Park film or game, or dinosaurs in general.
It’s a T-Rex skull with movable jaws, which is clever and a “plaster cast” footprint.
Suitable for age 9 +, there’s 577 pieces and as always, the pieces are well-made and fit together perfectly with good instructions.

When completed, the finished set stands 8″ tall and will make a great addition to any lego fan’s collection.
A decent price too an unusual piece. Recommended.

The Lego arrived in a box and helpfully sorted into bags for different stages of the build. As always with building Lego, you become a bit paranoid and think you’re missing a piece but thankfully, as expected, all of the pieces were there, with a few extras as well. For the most part the instructions were clear and concise. The Lego was fairly simple and easy to build. The box says it should be built by those 9 and above, but I think kids as young as seven could build this. There was a stage of the build when a large section of the skull was attached to a small piece of the base of the skull, and would constantly fall off, and then more pieces fell off which was slightly annoying. Apart from that it was fine. To conclude the set is a great gift for children and adults alike to enjoy.

Love this Lego set. It was super straight forward but satisfying to build – instructions clear & easy to follow.

Has become a new addition to my shelf of random bits & bobs! Definitely one of the coolest Lego projects I’ve completed. It’s a decent size, not too large nor too small. Ideal for displays.

Fab gift for both Lego & Jurassic World fans – excellent if you’re both like myself!!

This is such an interesting build and has lots of detail from the foot down to the individual teeth.

It does require an adult to help as even for 9 year olds it can be quite fiddly. The instructions are super easy to follow.

It looks great on the side with the large skull prominent. The jaw moves too so this is an interactive element. I would say it’s more of a display peice rather than a toy.

Hi, a really good set of lego for fans of jurassic park or just dinosaurs, my son is a fan of both and we are lego fans in general, you do get easy to follow instructions and quality pieces that click together well, its a nice set once built, it might not be as much as a playset but just a good collectors piece

5.0 out of 5 stars good piece for dinosaur fans

I received the Lego 76964 set (Dinosaur Fossils: T. rex Skull). This was slightly more complicated to build and came in 5 packs. This is part of the Jurassic Park range. I really like the detail of this skull and how the skull moves. I would say that the age range of 9 plus is appropriate as younger children would need an adult to support them.

So the skull itself is amazing to look at and to build. The skull has an information plaque and footprint, which is great for display purposes. The fossil looks realistic and the jaw is on hinges which open and close. Overall, I love this set.

Lego sets never fail to hit the mark and this one certainly filled all criteria, exciting theme, fun to build and clear instructions as always.
I love that the skill is posable with an articulated jaw and has a ‘fossilised’ footprint and a museum style plaque to display with the finished model. Lots of fun and great for all ages.

Our nine-year-old fell upon this set with delight when it arrived…. the packaging is bright, attractive and informative, with plenty to tempt young hands and minds to ‘get building’ ! As an experienced LEGO builder, our son was quickly able to follow the building sequence through the usual numbered packs of parts and he had no obvious difficulties in competing the 21cm tall skull model and its base.
The completed model is eye-catching and unusual – and really does build into an impressive display piece for shelf or desktop. Asked for his opinion of the model, our son said that he liked building the skull and thought the base/fossil footprint was “OK..but….” and that he would have preferred a larger, more complex fossil model.
This is another excellent LEGO offering – and complex enough for the novice or young builder to possibly need some adult guidance in places. It is a good model to introduce builders to the LEGO dinosaur fossil range and is a hugely-enjoyable kit.

    Positives
    > LEGO quality always shines: The familiar, high-quality bricks and clear instructions make for a satisfying build. Even younger dino-enthusiasts can tackle this set with a nudge here and there.
    > More than just a skull: It’s not just a static display! The opening and closing jaw adds a playful element, prompting roars and imaginative dino adventures. The included footprint and “amber” piece add to the storytelling possibilities.
    > Posable and proud: The skull can be adjusted on its stand, allowing for different fearsome expressions. It’s a conversation starter on any shelf or desk.
    > Fossil footprint: It’s a great addition to the rather impressive skull.
    > Large centrepiece: The finished T. rex skull stands 21cm in height.

    Neutral
= Challenge for younger builders: While technically for ages 9+, younger Jurassic fans might need some assistance, especially with the smaller pieces and intricate details.

    The Verdict
This LEGO Jurassic World T. rex Skull is a cool and unique set for dinosaur lovers. The opening jaw, posable head, and detailed sculpt make it a fantastic display piece. While it might not have the play possibilities of bigger sets, the challenge of building and the imaginative spark it ignites make it a worthwhile addition to any LEGO collection. Just be prepared to offer a helping hand if a budding palaeontologist takes on this prehistoric puzzle. If you’re looking for a detailed and eye-catching LEGO set with a prehistoric twist, the T. rex Skull is a great choice for kids 9 and up.

Wonderful! Lego has hit the mark with this model T-rex skull. The children to whom I gifted it really loved it, and did a fine job of building, despite being somewhat younger than the recommended age (9+).

Educational, fun, and stimulating for the imagination, this is a magnificent Lego kit, that I very highly recommend, especially if your children have an interest in dinosaurs.

Although expensive, Lego lasts a lifetime (unless chewed by a dog). I have lego that has lasted 50 years, played with by two generations of children, and it’s still as good as it was the day it was bought. In fact, it’s the ONLY plastic toy I have that hasn’t perished through the years. I have no doubt that this T-rex model will last just as long.

Amazing set for young boys (9+) and older boys who still like dinosaurs 😉

Great LEGO set, comprising of 577 individual pieces. When completed, the finished product measures: 28cm (height) by 26cm (depth) by 6cm (width). It’s an intricate build, but well worth it. The dinosaur skull has a jaw that can be opened or closed, a stand with an information plaque, a hidden ‘amber’ piece at the back of the model and a ‘fossilised’ footprint.

    Worth the retail price.

What an absolutely brilliant set. At 35 it delivers a great sized Dino skull stand and footprint. Something I’ve not seen before in Lego and it’s absolutely fantastic. Kids and adults alike will love this and it looks totally Roarsome on the shelf. Would recommend this to anyone.

As usual from Lego, the quality of this set is second to none and it is an excellent way to take a close inside look into the world of dinosours. Have to say I am impressed by the moving parts. You can put the skull into loads of different poses, and this means this is not just a toy, but an educational tool which is hands on and engaging. So for dinosaur enthusiasts this set is just wonderful. It is great fun to build and once completed it provides a great piece of educational decoration. I love the way that Lego continues to diversify and cater for so many different interests.

When I seen the pictures of this online I was very impressed but after building it myself I’m now even more amazed by it. Would definitely recommend this to any dinosaur fan young or old. Simple enough to build but has so much detail at the same time.
