A really great lego item, looks awesome next to my Groot, Venomised Groot and the Guardians Ship. The pieces for this one were in large paper bags which is so much better than all the throw-away plastic they used to come in (altough sadly some of the smaller bags inside were still plastic). Instructions are super clear and the finished article looks superb!
Who says LEGO is just for kids? Certainly not this 43-year-old Marvel geek! The LEGO Marvel Rocket & Baby Groot set, inspired by Guardians of the Galaxy, is an absolute delight for fans of all ages.
Assembling this buildable toy was a trip down memory lane, rekindling the joy of childhood LEGO adventures while indulging my inner Marvel fanatic. The attention to detail is impeccable, capturing Rocket and Baby Groot in all their adorable and heroic glory.
Once built, this posable action figure duo found a permanent place on my shelf, proudly displayed alongside my other LEGO creations and Marvel memorabilia. It’s not just a toy — it’s a piece of art that brings a smile to my face every time I see it.
So, if you’re like me — a kid at heart who loves LEGO and Marvel — don’t hesitate to add the LEGO Marvel Rocket & Baby Groot set to your collection. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
This was quite a cool set to build. Again, ably done by my 6yr old. He loves Marvel – never seen a movie but loves the Lego Marvel video games and Lego sets. Think this is the first one of Rocket like this. It looks pretty complex but he managed to build it himself. The little Groot is cool too. Surprisingly this is actually quite sturdy.
Nice sturdy Marvel Lego box.
There are 4 main bags with sub bags for smaller parts along with the traditional detailed instructions for assembly.
There are also stickers to embellish the model.
The finished model is taller than expected and is flexible such that you can place it in various poses.
Model took a while to put together with a lot of small parts to piece together.
Balancing the model to stand up can be a little troublesome if not careful
Overall a fun and challenging model to put together.
Item received in perfect condition in a brilliantly packaged and branded box.
As per any Lego the excitement of opening a box up and spreading out all the parts from each bag has never changed from when I was a small boy. This is no different. Its Lego and Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy and they have produced their normal high standard pieces with fantastic instruction booklet and also the app that you can use to help too.
The figure you make is great as a piece to look at but this is a very immersive model with very moveable joints and parts which allows far greater play with it once its built.
For me with Lego its all about the fun of building the item and the accomplishment once its completed.
Another superb piece from Lego.
The ultimate building toy and again it never disappoints and yet again it didn’t!
All parts were bagged and clearly marked as they always are.
Instruction in a colour pamphlet — just a delight to build ( if the bricks colours were labelled in the instructions it would just make things a little easier sometimes)
Everything is awesome
Everything is cool when you’re part of a team
Everything is awesome
When you’re living out a dream
There were some fiddly parts but nothing a child over 10 couldn’t manage – as it promotes patience and dexterity.
Not cheap at 54.97 – but then lego never seem to be now-a-days
Total construct time 90 mins to 120mins. Figure is 22cm when complete
Such a delight a deffo 5*s
The ‘LEGO Marvel Rocket & Baby Groot, Guardians of the Galaxy Buildable Toy’ arrived in a branded box.
I don’t consider this as a toy it is an adult 3d jigsaw puzzle. That’s my excuse and I am sticking to it.
It has been years since I made anything from LEGO, but little has changed, the blocks are smoother around the corners and there isn’t that solid click when they go together as they used to, but other than that there are lots of new shapes.
After about 4 hours I had completed ‘Rocket’ and that was in less than perfect lighting, and double checking parts left over that I may have missed only to find that they were actually spares.
The pieces went together with ease, though it took a little getting used to the pieces stuck on sideways, but it didn’t take long to see the subtle shape variations. The only thing I didn’t do was add the stickers I decided to leave it plain for the moment.
Instructions are as good as they ever were, and a great way for a child to learn the basics of assembly drawings and doing things methodically.
I have included a couple of pictures of the completed Rocket, but he stopped smiling as I was taking too long.
After the fun I had assembling Rocket I may just have to get a Groot.
