Gave this to my little sister as a gift. She reports that the instructions are clear and it goes together easily (as far as Technic goes). Makes a lovely little gift for any kid, big or small!

This set comes with clear instructions and is a very fun build with the right amount of challenging elements. Once built, the model is detailed and has wide, chunky wheels. It can be pulled back to go and goes quite well. Very well made, durable and sturdy set.

This meticulously detailed replica captures the essence of the real-life NEOM McLaren Extreme E racing car, featuring the signature colour scheme, bold sponsor logos, and chunky off-road tires. The pull-back motor delivers quick bursts of power, letting kids reenact adrenaline-pumping races or create their own off-road challenges. With a moderate number of pieces, this set offers a rewarding building challenge for youngsters. The opening cockpit, suspension system, and realistic details like roll cage and rear wing encourage imaginative play and exploration of how the car functions.

The LEGO Technic McLaren Race Car Toy is lots of fun for my little one and his dad who are fans of both LEGO and McLaren.

The set features intricate details such as the authentic McLaren livery. The finished model is impressive in size and design, capturing the essence of the real Extreme E race car.

This set is suitable for older children and adult builders looking for a complex and engaging build. Once built it is fun to pull back and watch it go. The tires are super chunky too allowing for off-road play.

The attention to detail is remarkable, and the pull-back action adds an extra level of excitement to the racing experience.

It’s been a hit with my young one, making it a perfect birthday gift idea for any young car enthusiast.

If you’re looking for a fun and engaging toy that combines creativity with high-speed action, look no further than this LEGO Technic masterpiece!

Great Lego technic race car with pull back function. There are stickers for this set, so my little boy needed a little help getting them on. But it was a fun build for him and lots of playability, good size and all fits perfectly.z

Suitable for children age 7 and over, this set is made up of 252 pieces and comes with an instructional guide. Make sure you have some space and some patience.

This is ideal if you have a child that loves to play with cars, as it gives them the opportunity to build one and then see it race off with its pull back action.

Great quality item and no doubt something that your child will want to keep indefinitely.

A pretty fun build that due to being technic, produces a race car that you can actually play with. Ideal for range of ages but being an adult, can say this was fun for me too!!

Nothing beats the satisfying clicks of the bricks & the finish product coming together. This car has become a nice addition to my shelves and will definitely look out for similar sets!

Not the largest of builds but this is reflected with it being around 20 at time of review. Quality is high as expected.

It’s a fairly straightforward set to build, as Lego Technic goes. The highlight of this set is that it incorporates a friction motor into the design of the car, so it can be self-propelled once it’s finished. My daughter had a great time playing with it. The completed car is really strong and robust. It withstood being played with without fallen to pieces.
The instructions are clear, concise and easy to follow. But as always with Lego Technic sets it’s important to follow the instructions carefully to avoid making mistakes as it’s difficult to correct later in the process. I built this set in a few hours without any issues. The car can be dismantled and the pieces can be used for other building projects.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun to build and friction motio

This is a robust good looking off road pull back racing vehicle once built and put together, the build isn’t too hard , my 11 year old son built it alone with no help.

It’s a cool looking car once constructed, there are some small parts but overall it’s an easy build and makes a fun toy to play with over and over so it’s worth the effort and is good value.

This Lego technic model is more sturdy and well built than the regular lego vehicles, the pull back action is a good feature and the vehicle can take a knock without falling apart, a good quality racing car once put together.

If you enjoy Lego, this is a great, affordable and interesting piece to build.

It is quite small and can be built in under an hour. Despite this, there are some nice details and it looks quite good and was fun to put together. There were clear instructions on how to assemble it which made it very simple.

Once together, the car actually works by pulling it back and letting go which is a nice touch making it a bit more fun once you have built it. Overall, I would recommend it.

I used to love Lego Technic as a kid and was excited to get this as it’s a step up from Lego and is more technical building, hence the name. It’s good to introduce kids to how things work and makes a nice foundation for engineering.

I do like that these days there is an app that can guide you through the building and the app is really good as they can zoom in and rotate the 3D model on the screen so they can compare it to their real-life model and I think this is a great way for kids to build by themselves but I also think it’s nice for adults to get involved, mostly because its a fun project to both young and old!

We found the car relatively straightforward to put together, especially with the app guiding you through and like that, once it is complete you can still have fun with it as the car has pull-back function so your kids can actually play with something they have built.

My 8 year old decided to get going on this and after about 2 hours he was done, the only time I had to help was to fit one or two pieces that needed a tiny extra finessing to fit.

The instructions are great and he had no problems following them, although the middle instructions pages fell out for no reason, good thing was he had already done those pages.

The whole thing is a bit bigger than I expected, and it is quite a solid build. The solid build means when he uses the pull back mechanism and it runs into a wall it is ready to be used again without any problems.

Overall this is a nice little build, the parts are nicely made, the completed build is quite solid and my 8 year is very happy with the finished produc

This McLaren LEGO Technic toy looks really cool after assembled I must admit, it has 252 pieces all together
so it takes a while to put it together but my godson loves such toys and putting LEGO together so for him it’s a lot of fun.
It is perfect LEGO toy car for kids over 7 years old, but especially for boys.
I really like that this toy car model features authentic details inspired by the real racing car, including off road tyres and partner logos too.
It looks like really good quality for long time of use, and price is also reasonable.
I can easily highly recommended to anyone.

This Lego Technic racing car is great fun and is just the right size as a birthday gift. It is not too tricky to build, but should still take an hour or two (depending on the child’s age). The playability is the best, as you can pull it back and the car will shoot forwards. Really good for building confidence and a sense of achievement.

The LEGO Technic NEOM McLaren Extreme E Race Car is a fun build and lots of fun to play with once built.

This set is aimed at children ages seven plus and has 252 pieces. It is not the easiest build if you are not a regular user of Lego but the instructions are clear which makes it more doable to achieve. It can be a little fiddly at times though.

The set is great quality which is just what I expected for a product which is Lego branded. This set is decent value for money and l like that the car can be used with a pull back feature once built to add to the fun.

I am very pleased with this set and I’d definitely look to buy more technic products in the future.

One of the smaller Technic sets and a good way of progressing to Lego Technic. It is graded as ages seven and over. Relatively easy to make with the usual good Lego instructions although a child of age seven may need some help. The car is one of a few Lego pull back cars where you pull back on the car and let go and it propels forward on its own. A good set that can provide hours of fun building and playing with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good pull back technic ca

I got this for my son 7yrs, needs help & supervision but spent a good few hours with breaks putting this together.

Something to do whilst being off work and half term

I was extremely satisfied with the product and would definitely recommend.

Technic Kits are a fantastic next step for kids who really love Lego vs Lego licenced products, Lego do some great tie in ranges like Harry potter and Star wars etc where kids can build the world and play in it.
Technic kits take things to another level and small starter kits like this combine engineering with play, this kit is more complex than your standard brick based kit and shows kids a another way to build that is more like real life, plus its got a pull back function so it actually moves under its own steam so you can have races.
The kit could be a challenge for a young child of 7 if they havent tried building technic before, but this kit is a great place to start as it has 250 parts and would be great for hand to eye coordination as some are quite small. The instructions are easy to follow and broken in to simple steps .
its got quite chunky tires so idea for rough play out side and technic stays together better than standard bricks .
my one gripe is the number of stickers, it has well over 20 to apply which i think is overkill for a set of this size and skill level, obviously you could leave them off or some off, but equally Lego has the ability to do printed elements too and kids just want to get on with playing.
