Building this is great fun however it really becomes rewarding towards the end when it all seems to come together. It can be intricate and delicate at some points but it makes it all the more rewarding to finish it with a variety of parts and stickers to use

A challenging Lego construction for a 6 year old. However the diagrams are easy to follow & any mistakes easily rectifed. The outcome is a sturdy vehicle . Great value for the price paid

Small but really nicely detailed and good value for a tenner. The suspension works and the cylinders on the engine move when the buggy is pushed along. Not a particularly difficult one to make but younger children (6-7) might need assistance connecting the more fiddly bits. But very good value for what it costs.

This has gone down a treat. It’s great fun to build and rewarding too. Once built there’s hours of fun to be had with it as a toy car. I think it’s very good value taking into account its high Lego quality.

It’s a straightforward but very enjoyable build that combines the simplicity of a Lego race car with some intricacy from the Technic side.

The finished product is sleek, sturdy, and eye-catching. Really fun to play with and serves as a lovely piece to display on a shelf or as part of a collection. I absolutely love the detailing and how the vibrant yellow complements the black and dark blue.

The design also allows for sharp turns and quick manoeuvres without any pieces threatening to dismantle or break. Everything feels durable enough to last a good long while..

    Would happily recommend.

LEGO never disappoints! I got this for my nephew. He love it. This is a fun and simple Lego set. He was enjoyed working together on building set and he had a lot of fun playing with it once it was built. It’s a good quality product and would make a great gift for young children who love to build.

This was a fun build for my teenage son. It probably took him a couple of hours to put it all together and now it sits on his shelf. For a younger child it would be great to play with and race around too.

It has the great Lego quality that you would expect and the added challenge of a technic build. It has some great detailing which make it fun too.

It feels like good value for money at the current price of 12.99, as it offers a good couple of hours building time.

This is another very high quality set from Lego and i’ve come to expect nothing less from this company and this set is no different. The beauty of Lego is that it’s perfect for all ages, not just kids. The instructions are straightforward and this is a solid few hours of fun for only 12.99

    Really happy with this overall

The steering mechanism, controlled by tilting the buggy, is simply brilliant. My son effortlessly zooms around, having a blast. The sturdy design holds up well even during intense play. Occasionally, the rear spoiler may detach. In such cases, there is no need to worry as it’s just Lego and can be easily put back on.

The vibrant colours and realistic design adds to the off-road buggy’s visual appeal. The unbeatable price sets it apart – making it an excellent choice for children’s birthdays! The assembly process was quick and enjoyable for both of us, thanks to the clear instructions and high-quality building blocks as always by Lego.
The off-road buggy has truly become one of my top picks for 2024!

My daughter absolutely loves Lego and I usually order sets for her, however every now and then my inner child appears and I treat myself to something like a Technics set and this one didn’t disappoint. As Technics sets go this is quite a small set but the quality and attention to detail is the usual you’d expect from Lego. It doesn’t take that long to build and comes with the usual excellent instruction manuals and numbered bags of Lego pieces. The buggy includes suspension with turning front wheels and even moving pistons when you push the car along. I’m extremely impressed with this set and it’s already being displayed on a shelf in the man cave. Highly recommended.

In the world of LEGO, this Off-Road Race Buggy is like the Chuck Norris of building kits. It’s so tough that other LEGO sets bow down in its presence. When I finished assembling it, I half-expected the pieces to salute me.

Forget about normal cars – this is the four-wheeled beast that you need in your LEGO collection. It doesn’t just race, it conquers the imaginary terrain of your living room like a mini exploration mission.

Building it was like unlocking the secrets of a mechanical wizard. If Merlin were a LEGO enthusiast, he’d definitely pick this kit. The only thing missing was a LEGO pit crew to high-five me after completion.

So, if you want a taste of vehicular adventure without leaving your home, grab this LEGO Technic Off-Road Race Buggy. It’s not just a toy – it’s a miniature adrenaline rush in the form of plastic bricks!

I said that before and I’m gonna say it again – Lego never disappoints when it comes to quality. And this offroad race buggy set is no exception. My son’s fav feature is the moving pistons that mimic a real engine — a cool detail that adds to the fun. Putting it up experience was enjoyable and the finished buggy feels strong and durable, so its perfect for active play. Another highlight – a tilt-to-steer mechanism – simply tilt the buggy left or right to turn the wheels and a spring automatically centering them when released. This clever design also acts as suspension, adding to the realistic feel. And bonus points for the two included mini-figures. The only downside (well, not actually a downside) but the V4 engine feels a bit flimsy and might be better left off for younger builders. But it’s easily removable without affecting the rest of the buggy. So overall, this is a fantastic set that combines quality materials, innovative features and engaging play value. Personally I’m convinced that its the one of the best Lego sets I’ve seen in a while (and we got quite a few), so I would highly recommend it for kids aged 8 and up, Recommended

    IS IT A GOOD PRESENT?
I think it is. It is fun and will stimulate the mind of any child interested in this sort of thing. Some of the parts move making it educational as well.

    DOES IT WORK?
Although clear to me, I was surprised at how easy it was for a 10 year old to understand the instructions. A couple of parts took a bit of working out but not overly complicated. Without distractions I would say it would take about two hours for a child to build. In reality that is an afternoon from opening the box to when it gets its final test by being launched of the top stair.
When completed it is about the size of my hand and had several moving parts that are interesting. It also looks good.

    VALUE
12.99 sounds about right, it is a nice quality product

My reviews follow this star rating:
1 Star; Very unsatisfactory product. I do not recommend buying it,
2 Stars; Significant deficiencies, does not fulfil its expected functions,
3 Stars; Average product. Complies with expectations,
4 Stars; Very good and satisfying. I liked it and it’s a quality product,
    5 Stars; Excellent, exceeds expectations.

Cracking price point for a great little beach buggy! Our eldest had a friend over for a lego build play date the other day and he insisted on building this buggy. Now he’s five and I knew it was going to be a struggle but he managed the first bag before it all got a bit too much and there was quite a bit of me re-orientating the model correctly to get the bits in the right place.
It was a two bag build so I got to play at making the second bag and for the bottom run of Technics pricing ladder this is a good little buggy. The model has a single shock absorber rear suspension as well as a rudimentary 4 cylinder engine and tilt steering. But for 13 it’s an absorbing build for those old enough to handle the complexity of Technics (so not 5 years old) and it’s a very playable little buggy that you get at the end.
It does have dreaded stickers but a very fun build for you bucks $$$!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little beach buggy!

This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.

I picked it up for the Lego and car fan in my household. The build difficulty level was a bit too complex for them, so my husband took on the challenge. In total, it took him roughly an hour to complete. We found that some of the instructions were a little confusing – certain parts of the build didn’t make sense to put together before others, but it all worked out in the end.

The car works really well once it’s assembled – it has nice, smooth movement, and you can feel the ‘suspension’ working, especially when you turn a corner. It has been sturdy ever since it was finished (no parts have come loose). My child has particularly enjoyed playing with it.

Overall, a very realistic and fun toy to have.
