Unfortunately product came with a couple of dead pixels, but as for the overall product this was such an upgrade to my previous monitor, would highly recommend to anyone that is looking to upgrade. Potentially measure up first as it seems to be a little large for my desk, but once again thats probably because my old monitor was OLD.

This monitor is very nice for playing video games, although the PS5 is barely able to run games at 120hz, let alone 144hz, with only a small list of supported games.

The monitor allows for a decent amount of tuning and has a deep sleep mode, where the monitor can quickly turn itself one once an input is detected.

The fiddly part, though, is the menu accessed via a joystick under the screen. The menu shortcuts are not very intuitive and has you press it multiple times, for simple actions such as switching inputs.

For example, to switch input I have to: Press the joystick, push left, push left/right to select the input, then finally press the joystick again. That is 4 actions to switch input. It will get very frustrating if you are troubleshooting to doing any creative work.

The shortcuts do not allow for specific inputs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sharp and responsive, although a bit fiddly.

I’ll be real this moniter is amazing for the value I was confused at first when I only saw the 60hz in the settings buy once I loaded up a game like fortnite it changed to 120hz and let me enable 120fps overall this is a really good moniter for its price

Managed to overclock up to 2k at 165hz did get to 4k 144hz but my pc can’t run it. Comes with great features (response time, different profiles, crosshairs, fps counter, etc) would recommend

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIf you want an all-singing & all-dancing 4K multi-Hz-refresh-rate monitor then this probably isn’t for you, and you’re going to have to look at parting with quite a bit more of your hard-earned.
What this IS though is an extremely capable QHD gaming monitor which is capable of a really great picture with no ghosting even when used at a high refresh rate. Compatability with NVidia’s G-Sync as well as AMD’s Freesync is a great feature which seems to work very well.
Without going into more technical blurb which I’m sure is covered elsewhere, I will just say that so far this monitor goes plenty bright enough and I’ve seen no noticeable backlight problems in everyday use. In fact, it hasn’t once skipped a beat; it just handles everything that’s thrown at it.
The stand is very sturdy and the included DisplayPort cable – while maybe not being the longest – works well even at 165Hz refresh rates, as you might expect.
You might well be able to find an alternative monitor from another manufacturer which does very similar things with a very similar specification while spending a little less, but as an all-round package with great picture quality this really is quite a brilliant mid-range gaming monitor.

So I first ordered two of these as a dual monitor setup, I really liked the monitors, they have great colours and once you calibrate them they’re a pleasure to use.

One of my screens then became broken so I bought a replacement. This had problems. There was something wrong with the backlight which made it look very washed out and it’d be flickering constantly. This showed up after about 6 hours of use, so I don’t know if it was damaged in shipping or a QC fail on LG’s end.

Luckily Amazon’s return system is great and I was instantly refunded with no fuss, so I bought a second replacement which is all good for now.

The price seems very variable on these, my first two were 110, my replacement was 167 and then the second replacement was 130 so you can wait for a good deal. I must say that the packaging isn’t the best, they’re simply sent out in the manufacturer’s boxes.

I was going to type a long winded review and give every positive and negative. At the moment I have tried on PC and also Xbox SX. As a PC monitor, it is a bit weird and as typing this review, I have not got used to it just yet. I had a 32 inch 4K monitor which broke after three weeks, and then I had my all in one PC on my desk, so three different displays in three weeks. Youtube playback is fantastic, I always use Costa Rica 4K as my test video, and I had my 4K against a 1080p HP all in one, the 4K was slightly better but not by much. I have tried the same video on here, and the picture quality is amazing.

As for the Xbox SX, most of the features are ticked apart from 4K 120hz, but it does for some reason say you can do 4K at 60hz so I am not sure what is going on there, Dolby vision of course is not available. I am more impressed by the quality while playing games, some games only run at 60hz such as need for speed hot pursuit, but the quality sat up close to the monitor is more than good enough.

If you are like me, and always think that all the buzz words are best to get, please think again. A 1440p monitor, especially this one, as it is the only one that I cannot comment about is more than good enough. The price is cheaper than a 4K for pretty much the same level of graphic detail, the only way that you could fault this monitor, is if you have Superman vision and can see every detail, but for me it is just as good as the 4K monitor that I had.

    CONS

    No USB ports
    No remote control
