These adapters, one usb c to apple lightning and the other apple lightening to usb c, give a good firm connection that doesn’t wobble or come loose. Used as charging lead converters they worked flawlessly with no noticeable reduction in charging speed or heat being generated in the adapter. Would recommend.

I’ve come across and possess numerous adapters that convert USB-C to Lightning, but there are few options available for the reverse conversion. With Apple’s recent transition from the Lightning connector to the universal USB-C interface for iPhone, iPad, and AirPods, many existing cables have become obsolete due to the forced switch.

These adapters prove to be a valuable solution by breathing new life into outdated and legacy cables, addressing the critical issue of global e-waste. This scenario mirrors past instances when Apple phased out the 30-pin connector, leaving millions of consumers with obsolete devices and cables.

The adapters function as expected, crafted from a high-quality aluminium alloy. They effortlessly connect to various devices, not limited to Apple products. I successfully used them with a Meta Quest 2 VR headset, several Android phones, and USB-C headphones without encountering any issues. This versatility enables me to continue using my extensive collection of lightning cables with newer USB-C devices, such as my iPhone 15. This not only prevents e-waste but also saves me from investing in expensive cables that exceed the cost of these adapters.

While the price may initially seem high at 4 per adapter, it’s a modest investment for the ability to prolong the use of my otherwise perfectly functional cable collection. Importantly, these adapters maintain the original cable’s slim profile, adding no extra width or bulk, and they have no discernible impact on the charging experience. The only thing I wish they had, was a way to attach these to the cables so they don’t risk being lost.

Does what you need it to, and doesn’t have any noticeable impact on speed for charging or data transfer.

I did have a weird issue where an android phone kept thinking there was water in the USB-C port but I think that was more to do with the device I was connecting into it.

    Pros:

Specialized Functionality: The adapter serves a specific purpose – facilitating communication and fast charging between a phone and a computer. This specialization can be an advantage for users who want a dedicated device for these functions.

Fast Charging Support: With support for 27W Power Delivery (PD), the adapter enables fast charging, providing a quick and efficient power-up for your devices.

Compact and Well-Built: The small size (2.8cm x 1cm x 0.4cm) makes it highly portable and easy to carry. The solid and well-built construction suggests durability and longevity.

Data Transfer Speed: The adapter supports data transfer speeds up to 480Mbps, ensuring relatively fast and efficient data exchange between the phone and computer.

Niche Usefulness: While it may have limited functionality, it can be highly valuable for users who specifically need a reliable communication link and fast charging without the extra features.

    Cons:

Limited Functionality: The adapter has a very narrow scope, excluding support for various peripherals like headphones, mouse, keyboard, and more. Users looking for a multi-functional adapter may find this limitation restrictive.

Not Versatile: The lack of support for OTG video and audio functions, Apple Pencil (1st generation), and other peripherals makes it less versatile compared to more feature-rich adapters.

No Support for Common Accessories: The adapter does not support a range of common accessories such as flash drives, card readers, printers, microphones, and cameras, limiting its use in diverse scenarios.

Specialized Storage Consideration: Due to its small size, users need to be cautious about where they store the adapter to avoid losing it. The small dimensions may make it prone to being misplaced or easily overlooked.

Niche Market: The specialized nature of the adapter means it caters to a specific audience with particular needs. It may not be suitable for users seeking a more versatile solution that accommodates a broader range of devices and functions.

The Lighting to USB C Adapter, Charger Connector just works, if like me you have several iPhones being used around the house and the car, some lighting and some USB C, I found it annoying having to keep changing the cables over especially in the car that I share. This little adapter is compact but well made, you get two in a pack so you can leave one in the car and the other in the house or just keep one as a spare.

So far I have not had any problems, if you use Apple Car Play you will be glad to know it works flawlessly including playing music and using Apple Maps which was the main reason for using the connector for me.

As for supports up to 27W fast charging, I have to take the manufacturers word as I have no way of checking, however I have not noticed any change in charging times.

Negatives I’m struggling to find any, the only thing it would be is if it could come with some sort of rubber connector to allow you to attach it to your cable when not in use, of course if your not swapping iPhones between lighting and USB C connectors then this will not matter to you. Would I recommend them – most definitely yes.

This is actually a really good product. It allows you to move away from the lightening connector; while not having to throw away lots of perfectly good lightening cables.

The adapter just takes a lightening connector; and makes it a USB-C connector. Genius!

Very highly recommended if you have (like I do) a lot of old (yet perfectly working) lightening cables; and have moved away either to an Android device (with USB-C) or to the new iPhone 15 series which is all USB-C.

    Truly excellent.

These work perfectly. They are a USB-C to lightning adapter for my new iPhone 15. I can use this to enable me to charge using my old cables and to use my lightning headphone.
There are 2 included so I can have 1 upstairs and the other downstairs, meaning I don’t have to get rid of my old cables and headphones.
    Great quality and value.

I’ve seen many adapters to convert USB-something to Lightning, but never the other way. As Apple are now sunsetting the use of the Lightning connector for the iPhone and iPad range and looking to move towards a more universal USB-C interface, it will leave a collection of cables unusable. These will give obsolete cables a new lease of life and prevent waste as what happened in the past when Apple binned the 30-pin connector which annoyingly left consumers with unusable devices and cables.

Works as you would expect; connect the adapter and plug into your USB-C device of your choice. Doesn’t need to be an iPhone/iPad either. I can keep one cable and one of these adapters in the car rather than carrying around 2 cables for the collection of electronics our family has.

A little expensive for four quid a pop, but I expect that the Apple MFI Certified charge applies to the Lightning sockets in a similar way to the plugs. For me it’s a small price to pay to continue using otherwise perfectly working cables I have collected over the years. Doesn’t add any width to the original plug so should be compatible with most device cases and covers.

Hi this consists of two lightning to USB-C adapters. The adapters are well constructed, solid and the lightning cable fits neatly and securely into the adapter. I tried this with the USB-C adapter plugged into a number of different devices and all worked with no problem and the USB-C connector connected securely with each one.

Whilst I have software to check Iphone fast charging I haven’t been able to verify that this adapter supports fast charging though its states that it does. The price for this is well priced and these are extremely useful to have handy in a backpack or even a wallet to keep for circumstances where there isn’t the adapter you need.

Being that Apple has now changed over to USB Type C, instead of changing all my cables, I got these adapters. They’re small and compact and made out of metal. They feel well built and good quality.

Data transfer and Sound works perfectly and notice no difference in quality. They will fit nicely in my tech bag and go with my Macbook.

I could say they’re quite fiddly and small but that is very minor issue.

There’s not much to say about these little adapters, other than they’re pretty handy and a good value for money. They do the job perfectly and the colour matches my iPhone colour too, should it be plugged in. I’ve used them to convert a couple of my lightning chargers to USB C for the new iPhone and I have no complaints. Deffo saved me a few pounds buying new cables 🙂

Very good, allows you to convert an Apple Lightning connection – into USB C for device charging

Great to use with the multi cables that have 1 connection of each type – but if like me you don’t have any apple devices – that cable goes unused

    Not anymore
